Stayed there 2 nights over Thanksgiving while our daughter and grandkids came into town. Staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful. Everyone was so relaxed and slept so good. We would definitely stay again.

This place is a hidden gem. The service was great as far giving directions, keeping the location clean and providing towels . The spa and pool were usable even with the covid situation. The have fun activities to do like mini golf, and tennis if you are into that. Would definitely stay more nights at this location, we only went out for the weekend. My family and I decided to have a two day staycation here at Scottsdale Camelback Resort. We were blown away with how nice the rooms were. They were super clean and they have a full kitchen with dishwasher full of clean dishes as well as having everything you need to cook with. A washer and dryer are in the room as well. We got a 2 room villa so I’m not sure if their studio rooms have some of these things or not. They offer a studio a two room villa and a three room villa. They offer dvds and blue rays for rent at no charge. A pool a kiddie pool and a huge jacuzzi. The pool has a poolside grill to order food and drinks. They offer spa services at their Running Water Spa. We didn’t use the spa services so I can’t comment on them. We did order food though which was delicious!! There is a theater which plays movies but was not available due to the coronavirus social distancing orders here in Arizona. It might of been available for private rental I’m not sure. They offer basketball hoops, three tennis courts, putting green, miniature gold a labyrinth. As well as an activity lawn a walking trail that’s probably at least a mile long, horseshoe pit and bocce court, sand volleyball court and a playground. They have picnic tables throughout the property with barbecues as well. They have everything !! We will be back for sure, this was a great Staycation!!

Old buildings, old smell, bed too hard. Menu at pool is the same for both lunch and dinner. Pool closed too early considering it’s summer oh and we saw what might have been a poopi in the pool. Brought it to staff attention and they sluffed it off. At least they could have netted the thing

The time is 8:19pm (7/3/2020) as Im writing this review inside the lobby. Why am I writing this review inside the lobby? Neither our keys, the front desk keys nor maintenance keys will let us back into the villa where our belongings are. We also explained to the staff that we only went out to eat and grocery shop for the weekend so we have things in the car that need to be quickly refrigerated. Staff was/is nice enough but my God, this is our 20 year anniversary were trying to celebrate. NOT happy right now.

The room itself was very nice, but the rest of the facility and the staff were disappointing. The pool area and bar are very small - I would hardly describe this as resort. The free breakfast was nothing more than a basic continental breakfast you could find anywhere. I was extremely sick in the morning, and the breakfast staff would not allow my daughter to bring any food back to the room. There was only one bartender in the evening who kept forgetting our drink orders entirely. Check out was 10:00 am, and we had staff knocking on the door at 10:01 to make sure we were leaving. Overall, what we received was NOT worth what we paid. The only draw to this resort is the location (close to the middle of the city). We will not be returning.

Fabulous accommodations with all the amenities of home. Would definitely recommend this resort. From experience would like to see a better communication experience for forgotten items....to be able to provide contact information and more assistance to possible help with the return

Positive: Salt water pool Negative: Bats in the room and the door to one of our villas was left ajar upon our arrival to the complex at 1 am. There was a homeless man begging for water upon our arrival and they expected us to move into a Villa with a door left open? Ridiculous.

Great place for a family get away. Pool was wonderful. Lots of activities for the kids to do. Movie night by the pool was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great happy hour! Clean and things were well organized! Only downside was the breakfast. It was very limited and not very well managed.

This is my third time staying here on an exchange. Ive always liked it and have enjoyed the updated facilities this time however my five star stay has devolved today. I was deeply disappointed when I came out to the pool today (8/16) and the bartender was not wearing anything to cover their face while every other employee has been all week. Instead of addressing the directly, I went to the front desk and asked if there was a reason the bartender was not wearing a mask and was serving food and drinks. I received a flippant answer about them standing behind a two foot wide piece of plexiglass even though they were walking back and forth and breathing on the drinks. I pressed the matter and was told they would contact the manager of the grill. I went out to the pool for the rest of the afternoon and watched the bartender continue to mix drinks, pour beer, and serve food without ever putting a mask on. I guess the staff at the resort doesnt care about my safety nor the safety of any other guest. Needless to say, I didnt approach or buy anything from the bar all day.

So, this place gave me mixed vibes. Most of the staff were great, but the manager, I think it was Megan, at the front desk was rude. Maybe she was having a rough day. BUT, my grandparents who were in their 80s, were locked out of their room for 2 hours at 10pm at night. Ive never heard of anything like this. Then, not only did the maintenance guy accuse them of locking their deadbolt fr the inside? Um, impossible? But also accused them of leaving out the backdoor? (The security bar was even in place). Turns out the battery to the key reader was dead (something an employee and hour before said was likely the case an hour later and was laughed at my maintenance saying that was not it). But, they were kind enough to offer my grandparents a water. LOL. Not a free night, or week, but a water. One. A joke. Get it together. Amazing resort, though they dont clean the tile floors I dont think.

Activities at pool area was fun for all. Atmosphere was beautiful. Every staff i passed said hello with a smile. Front desk was Very helpful. Villa was very roomy amd comfortable for eveyone.

The property was very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and professional, and the room was affordable. The restaurant could use an update. It was a bit tired looking, but the staff was delightful and the food was okay.

We stayed in a studio, which is surprisingly very roomy. Large King bed on 1st floor and Queen upstairs. The kitchen is a good size and was stocked with everything we needed (pots, pans, silverware, toaster, medium sized fridge and freezer, stove top* no oven etc.) I was very pleased with that so that we could cook some during our stay. There is a tv upstairs and downstairs. Only 1 bathroom (on main floor) .Our unit was very clean and well maintained. Parking available was close, plentiful and free.Location is absolutely perfect! Minutes from Fashion Square mall, restaurants and Dollar Tree (for those last minute items forgotten).Staff is friendly and professional and housekeeping is great.They have a good sized pool and hot tub and another 1.5feet pool for tots. There are daily activities and movies in their theatre which is nice. We took advantage of the large tennis court/basketball court (theres a cabinet with balls and racquets available).The entire resort is quiet, clean and in very good repair, despite being older.Cons:The breakfast is very limited. You can pay 6.99pp/day or $35pp for the week. In my opinion, it is not worth it. There were boiled eggs, fruit, a couple muffins and a waffle maker. Its not bad if you have nothing else to eat but we brought food and just wanted to see if there were better options.They have pretty good daily happy hour specials. The one time we went, my husband and I both ordered burgers. They were pretty good in my opinion, although being noticeably Luke warm, which I thought was weird. Immediately after finishing, my husband got really sick and had to rush back to vomit. I cant say for sure it was the food because I felt fine afterwards, but he literally never gets sick so it was weird. So we decided to steer clear from it after that to be safe.Its older. Some things show the age of the property such as the brown and tan colors used in the pool area and all throughout the resort. But they have done a good job adding touch ups to bring it slightly up to date.

We had the sewage clog the toilet and back-up into our tub. This happened as we were on a deadline to leave. The crew came and fixed the problem, but still had sewage in the tub. Expectation is that the cleaning crew would clean the tub, but when we returned that evening, it was not cleaned and the staff said there was nothing they could do since the cleaning crew had left for the day. We had to find something and clean it ourselves. They were supposed to work to get us some money back from our stay, but so far we only received a $25 resort fee credit. The place looked nice and the beds were comfortable. Great location. Horrible continental breakfast. I would not recommend staying here.

A great condo/time share facility. Good pool & bar, small restaurant, tennis courts, etc. Great Running Waters Spa. Has its own small movie theatre. Putting green, propane bbqs, croquet & put par course. No golf course at the property.

Very clean, spacious and accommodating rentals. The price is unbeatable!!! For the same or less than surrounding hotels, youll have an amazing little Villa. The pool is large and open pretty late. If you choose, there is a bar right by the pool that you can order an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. I honestly do not have any complaints.

Had such a great time visiting the long weekend, and paying 3 star hotel prices, for a 4 star resort.My room was a 2 story, 1 bedroom villa, with a nice balcony.They have an amazing museum like patio full of cactus of all kinds, miniature golf, and an Indian sanctuary. All decorated by entertaining statues, so fun!The pool is where is at, and the Grille bar.I am definitely coming back to the Camelback.Oh!, and staff is Ammazzzzing!

Great place to stay! Close to Old Town Scottsdale. The room was really spacious and very clean. Do understand that they put a $200 hold on your card that gets released when you check out. I was not told that when I booked the room with Groupon, but that is on Groupon not the resort. I would come back here again.

Appreciated the townhome like villas. Great for stays lasting more than four days. My husband, adult son and I traveled from Hawaii to Phoenix to attend our youngest daughters university ceremony. As we were staying for more than a week, it was nice that we had the comforts of home at our fingertips. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary cooking utensils, full sized fridge, stove, microwave and sink. The room also had a stacked washer and dryer. My husband and I had our own king sized bed downstairs that could easily be partitioned with a drawn curtain and our son had his own full size bed located upstairs in the loft. He also had his own TV in his area. The breakfast buffet was enough to hold our appetites till we were up and about exploring Phoenix and the surrounding areas. May consider staying here again though the only drawback is the pricey-ness per night.

Pleasant vacation getaway.Central to activities, highways, far enough from airport at 12 minute drive.Rooms are clean, good size for couples or families.We stayed in a 2 bedroom, king bed in room 1 and 2 twins on 2nd roomKitchen - we stocked with drinks, food, snacks, waterBar near lobby has good selection of drinks.Swimming pool is good size and cleanBest of all we were near Camelback mountain - we hiked for 2 hours, tons of fun and awesome excercise.Near downtown/old town Scottsdale, karaoke bars, good eats like The Mission - wow, shopping.We also drove to Sedona and enjoyed a day trip.Two cheers

I had a great time. My husband and I love it here. We have been coming for three years now. The only down fall was the pool was much ccolder this year. We like to swim at night but I couldnt this year.

I have been in all of the rooms. Except I wouldnt call them rooms, theyre more like beautiful condos and homes. Everyone single one is spacious, well kept and well decorated, very cozy. From the front desk, to the pool, to the management everyone greats you with a smile and is very helpful. The grille serves great food, not to mention you can pretty much walk to all the excitement that Downtown Scottsdale has to offer. If youre looking to overpay for hype, this is not the place. If you want a great room with a great location and amenities, then go to Scottsdale Camelback Resort.

Love the setting of this resort, with Camelback Mountain practically in your backyard. Our year is not complete without a visit to this place. Pool/bar is great place to forget all else. Great, accommodating staff too. And awesome tennis courts.

Nice place to relax and enjoy with or without kids. Love all the activities provided and the separate pools. Theres one for everyone or if you want peace and quiet they have a Zen pool.

Nice property, a little further away from old town and Fashion square than we would have liked, but overall a good and quiet place to stay.

The map say soda machine but there is not one and make sure if you want to buy something on property do it before 11:pm

This is my first time coming to Scottsdale and this was the perfect place to stay! Very close to restaurants, shopping, and not too far from the interstate. It was very relaxing, and will definitely be coming back again. The restaurant at the resort also has delicious hamburgers & chips and salsa.

My wife and I came to Scottsdale AZ for our 14th anniversary and stayed at this Camelback hotel for 7 days. Once we settled in our rooms we began to notice MS-13 gang tags located thru out the room, six total. Then we noticed an object under the sofa and when I picked it up I noticed it was a small drug weight scale covered in an unknown residues. When we brought it to the attention of the manager she apologized and offered to move us to another room on the other side of the complex which we felt was inconvenient. The manager said she would contact her boss and get back to us, which she never did. Then at check out she said all they could do was refund a $25 resort fee...really?! Twenty five dollars for compensation for a tagged up gang room with used drug paraphernalia? How is that acceptable? We could have stayed at a Motel 8 and not had to deal with this kinda stuff. No customer service what so ever. I took pictures of all the gang tags and drug scale and will be posting them on FB aswell as other review sites so the right people can see how they operate their hotel. We will never return to this place when we come back Scottsdale.

Great location for us, easy to drive to anything we wanted to go to 5min to fashion center or old town Scottsdale. Nice and quiet in December. Had a little trouble with the fridge in the first day. Massage at the spa was great. Nice gym for timeshare.

The property is a very large 2-bedroom unit with a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms - one off of each bedroom.

Great place good price yall just messed up charging us for smoking in the room when we did not! So if you are a smoker do not come here they will get your hard earned 100 dollars

Stayed at a fully furnished condo and enjoyed it. Ours had 2 rooms and 1 bath with kitchen, laundry room, and balcony. We were also placed by the pool, which helped me since I had just had knee surgery and was able to walk right into the pool for some therapy.

Felt ripped off...check in time @4 and pool close @6...desk was rude...couldnt check in early even 330....probably never come again..its other resorts much better

Im not a fan of foam,especially at a expensive resort.

I have owned a timeshare at this resort since 2013. This year they rented my condo out to someone else because our Maintenance fees were late. The resort kept my money and the money from the people who rented my condo. I was never informed that my week had been sold to another party. This is very unfair. All I can say is buyer beware and read your contract carefully.

This place was awesome!!

Weve stayed here multiples times since 2013, and keep coming back because of the location, big rooms and beautiful grounds.The villas are spacious with a Southwest theme. The units are old but aging well. The studios and 2-bedrooms are both great.Unfortunately, this trip was the first time Ive ever seen bugs in the units. We stayed in the 2-bedroom next to the playground. The grout in the kitchen has worn away, letting in bugs. It wasnt a big deal but a bit disappointing.The salt-water pool is great and they have a kiddie pool that our 3-year-old loves.There are plenty of outdoor games, a mini putting green, propane grills, volleyball pit, tennis courts and walking path.The location is near the mall and the Scottsdale Waterfront.

The property offered a variety of things to do. Landscaping was nicely maintained.Did not like the lack of room service.
