I went to see Phantom of the Opera last spring, and the show was absolutely amazing. Very talented actors and great music. However, the staff were very rude and not understanding. I have a hearing disability that requires me to need subtitles or a script in this case. I went to the box office and asked if there was something I could have to understand the show. The man said that they don’t provide scripts for people with hearing disabilities for big Broadway shows like this, but for the “smaller” shows on Thursdays (??). He needed a minute and wrote down my seat number and said that he would find something for me. He never showed up. What really pushed me into the wind was that another disabled person, who was blind, was being accommodated in every way. I’m glad that the staff is at least capable of helping people with visible disabilities, but it shows the discrimination that many people face with internal disabilities. I ended up needing someone to tell me what happened at the end of the show, but with the confusion I had with the show in general, plus the rude ushers shouting at everyone to leave, made it an overall uncomfortable experience. The attendees of a show of this scale should feel wanted, comfortable, and motivated to come again. The staff made us feel like mere livestock rather than people. Please learn to accommodate ALL people with disabilities and teach your staff how to show their customers SOME respect!

I have been here close to 20 times over the years and have nothing but rave reviews. Aside from the show itself, a guilty pleasure of mine since childhood, I am extremely impressed by the staff of this theatre. They take their roles seriously and I commend their attitude toward electronic devices, people need to unplug, I’m sure over 99% aren’t important enough that their phone is a life and death matter and I appreciate the staff for being so diligent. Service staff is equally helpful and albeit feeling awkward about my “marathon” visits where I see the show multiple days in a row, I’m treated kindly, not at all like the weirdo I probably am. As for the show, it fits this theatre so well and has aged amazingly well. The current cast (this is written 1/2020) is fantastic and interprets the work uniquely. The rest of the crew, including musicians, work like a well oiled machine, bringing this show to life. Anyone wary of seeing it because it’s been around “forever” is sorely mistaken. Even more interesting when considering plot and characterization with elements of our time. Thank you! I cant wait to come back when you reopen!!! Its a sad spring/summer without NYC and this show on my schedule!

Finally got to see the famed Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. It was well put together, almost seamless movement of props. And the lead actors had great voices that carried the notes quite well. However, the theme is quite outdated and not reflective of the society we are building today. The Phantom was quite entitled and demanding, with a mindset akin to an incels. The leading lady was weak and undecisive. Definitely not the best show I have seen, but glad to have ticked it off my list of musicals.

The Phantom of the Opera is the longest running musical in broadway history. That’s not a secret. Why has Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece stood the test of time? It’s an easy question to answer and one that will continue to be answered the same way. Visceral beauty and romance will forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of humanity and this timeless tale captures it magnificently.

Love this wonderful theatre that was built in 1926, it is beautiful on the inside and has a real classic look to it and is well-maintained. We saw the Phantom of the opera here. The sound was also fantastic, we were on the balcony and still had good seats and could see the play fine. I have posted some pictures to show what it looks like from our seats. However the gap between seats is very narrow and it’s really hard to move. Therefore You need to use the restroom before the performance starts.

I went to the Majestic Theater on Broadway in the U.S. to watch the musical Phantom of the Opera. It was just after the rain, so the whether was cloudy. I thought that there would be many people in there, but unlike what I expected, there were not many people. So we had no trouble moving.I am not good at English, but I understood almost everything because I watched Phantom of the Opera in school. My favorite song from the musical is all I ask of you, which I felt best to hear in person as a musical.

Arguably, this review speaks more to the production than the venue, but Ive seen Phantom of the Opera numerous times and it still remains one of my all time favorite musicals. The talent, the direction, the choreography, the overall production really is ambitious and well-fulfilled!

Amazing! Bravo to the new Phantom Ben Crawford joining the cast.My husband and I both love this play so we had to bring our kids tonight. They too are now fans of Broadway. The theater itself is nice. Expected wear and tear, but nothing major. They serve kid favorites of pop, chips, and candy etc., and an adult full bar so can’t go wrong there. We had Mezzanine front row and the perfect view. The chandelier goes up prompt at show time so don’t be late!We thoroughly enjoyed the play plus we got a few autographs too.

Beautiful old theater and excellent production of Phantom! One of my favorite musicals! The actor playing the Phantom (Ben Crawford) did an incredible job! We sat in the rear mezzanine, a few rows up from the last row, and had a pretty good view. Staff were efficient and worked hard to get everyone to their seats as quickly as possible. Restroom was very small, so there were long lines, but that is to be expected at the theaters in NYC.

My wife and I thought we had booked the best seats in the house, center front row of the mezzanine, seats 107 and 108, but to our dismay, there are two cameras obscuring your view of the stage. Most of the time, the view of the performers were not blocked by the cameras, but they were extremely distracting throughout the whole show. These cameras could easily be repositioned so not to cause this issue - please correct this, so people dont need to be disappointed by this in the future. This was a big downer for an otherwise brilliant show.

Saw the details of the beautiful costumes, actors and props, but wasnt too close that I couldnt see the bigger picture. Bought the tickets online about 3 months in advance. This is a really awesome theatre with incredible architecture. We came here to watch the Broadway Show, Phantom of the Opera. It was fabulous. Apparently it has been playing on Broadway for 30 years, although I do not know how long in this theatre.Only 2 issues. First, this place is not ADA compliant and there is nothing to help a person struggling with walking that many flights of steep stairs. I was incredibly disappointed that there was not something to help the disabled person.Second, they are extremely grumpy about pictures. I somewhat understand about during the show, but not when it isnt occurring. The building has incredible architecture, so why not want that photographed and displayed? And why the harm during the show if the flash is off? Its a good way for free advertising for them??? I would have really liked a picture or 2 during the show of the awesome scenes for memories.

Iconic theatrical experience. Phantom of the Opera which is the current show as of the time of this writing is everything you hope that it might be. The Majestic Theatre is absolutely stunning and a piece of history you will want to experience. For travelers to Broadway, I recommend that you chose one or two shows you know you want to invest in and book those directly through the box office of the theater housing the show. For last minute shows many like the TCKTS experience. However, recommend walking into the actual theatre box offices and talking to them about what they have available. The price dofference is not usually that much different and often it is better. If you are a student let them kno and ask about student rush tickets (some do this others do not). You also save fees by skipping third party distributors. Avoid buying tickets from people in the streets at all costs. The red TCKTS booth is safe but the people walking around may or may not be.
