Saw Network here which was phenomenal and they did a great job incorporating the audience into the play and even outside too. It is three levels and each level has a good view of the stage. Id say the mezzanine is the best value if you can snag seats in that area.Happy viewing and remember: Dont deny, satisfy!

Strikingly ornate walls covered with beautiful paintings, there are three floors, we were in the balcony top floor for Irishman movie, seating is like old style theater with pretty seats but less legroom for my long legs. Great experience!! The movie was absorbing and intense entertainment too!

Went to see Farinelli and the King, Gettin band back together and Network here. Cute theater and has a unique charm to it. Watched Mark Rylance and he was amazing in the role. Opera was amazing and story line was good. Bryan Cranston was too good. Seats were comfortable and we had a good time!

The theater is small, making a show very intimate and easy to see the actors from every angle just about. It was easy acess un snd out and no insane rushes on either end (likely due to the smaller size of said theater). Nonetheless, the seats are comfortable and the theater itself is beautifully ornate. Staff is lovely and full of character that only adds to the overall theaterical experience.

This review is from a seat with a warning of partial view so I dont feel I can really complain about missing a BIG portion of the stage. My real complaint is about the space between the seats, I could not sit without my knees hitting the back of the seats in front of me. At some point and I wasnt the only one, I had to fold the seat and sit on top of it (top row no one behind me).

Great venue and fantastic show! Highly recommend. The theater is easy to get around to bar and restrooms. Both easily accessible. There are a few difficult views from the rear orchestra right, but the blind spots were resolved with giant monitors. Easy access by subway and taxi. Enjoyed our evening.

We were there to see the 3pm showing of Network, starring Bryan Cranston, and the theater was just splendid. Wonderfully cozy, even with our seats on the balcony level, 2nd row from the back. The angle was superb so even if a taller person were in front, youd be comfortably able to view the stage. The bathroom does show its age regarding size, as the mens room had availability for 3 at a time, if you count the handicap stall. Lovely venue and am happily awaiting for our next show here.

We saw Network with Bryan Cranston here and it was awesome. His versatility is incredible and the way the show is done is quietly innovative. They do some clever things with the onstage cameras and projection. No spoilers, but some of what they did surprised me more than a decent magic show a couple times. All that aside the story is also VERY relevant in todays unfortunate age .

We saw Network, and it was lucky they had screens up because the view from our balcony seats were badly obscured. Despite the screens, there were many moments where the screens were showing things other than the onstage action and we could only see one or neither of the main actors in a scene. We took photos from each seat, which were on the extreme right corner of the balcony, seats A22 and A24. It is a beautiful theater with a lot of character, but be warned: avoid the balcony seats on the sides! We were at least at the front, Im not sure how good (or bad!) the view was for those behind us... Other than that, it was a lovely theater. A plus was that there are bathrooms on the balcony level so you didnt have to go down and the lines were minimal.

One of the old grand dames of Broadway, dating to 1907. Lovingly restored with new seating installed to the old cast iron frames. Adequate legroom, which sometimes is a problem for me (Im 63). Wonderful ambiance and acoustics make the Belasco a great venue, with an intimate feeling for the audience. Parking garage across the street, and easy access to Grand Central and city subways if youre into mass transit. Very handicapped accessible also. Highly recommended.

One of the iconic places in NY. It would be ideal to have the seats in the balconies numbered. We had a polite disagreement about which seat was number 1, 2 and 3. The view from the balcony is not great but there are screens that allow you to follow the action.

The Belasco was built in 1908. It is lovely, with a great ceiling. It is however like all the old theaters quite small. The seats are typical and set close together. There are three levels at the Belasco with the view of the stage varying according to the levels. We have sat in the balconies, right at the top and we still could see the stage. You do want to avoid some of the extreme edges on the higher levels if you want a clear view. You can get wine and candy at the intermission but that is about it. The theatre is well placed in midtown and we caught a snack at a WholeFoods near by which provided a great value meal and drinks. Bryant park market is also very close by if you are there in December. The queue starts outside the theatre about 30mins before the start of the play and they do a bag check. We would happily come back. Highly recommended!

The theatre was beautiful and had no bad seats. The space between rows is small and the seats are not large as would be expected in an old theater that has been redone famously. We sat in the front of the balcony and had a great view and could hear everything. The ceiling artwork is pretty too

One of the oldest Broadway theaters, this building is bursting with architectural details. It boasts elaborate stained glass panels in the ceiling and intricate motifs carved throughout. Unlike other older theaters, the seats are actually comfortable, in other words, you dont feel like youre sitting with your knees pulled up to your chest. The acoustics are good and whether its spoken word or a loud chorus, the audience can hear everything perfectly. A great venue no matter what type of show youre seeing.

Review №59

The acoustics are very good. But beware of the sidelines. We were off to the right side which cut off the stage on the right. There are video monitors and much of Network takes place on screen but it does get a little annoying not to be able to see certain scenes live. Bryan Cranston was as fantastic as could be expected. The story is a bit dated but he was dynamic. There is some mild audience participation and ad libbing. It made for an enjoyable evening over all. The seating is a little cramped if you are not a small person.

I watched Network at the Belasco on May 12. Bryan Cranston delivered a powerful performance, as audiences have come to expect of him. I really wanted to acknowledge the crew, however. The intracacies of pulling off a show like this are a testament to them. To deliver the full audio-visual experience of this show, they have to get everything exactly right eight times a week. If youve watched the show, you know what I mean. Im very glad that, of all the shows that are available on Broadway, I chose this one.
