My wife and I have been subscribers to the Signature Theater Company for the last two years and we have seen many amazing productions. You don’t have to be a subscriber to see plays but it will cost you $40 per ticket! As a subscriber, we get to see shows for $35. Where in New York City or anywhere, can you see first rate theater for such a great price! The theater is located at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue near many great restaurants.

My wife and I have been subscribers to the Signature Theater Company for 5 or 6 years. They provide great theater by established as well as up and coming playwrights in 3 intimate theaters. I would call these off Broadway productions. Most of the time you watch something thought provoking or otherwise entertaining by known or soon to be known actors. Good pre-theater cafe and entertainment. Definitely a New York City treat and very reasonably priced tickets. Enjoy!

A great Off Broadway option in a fairly new building with 3 theatres a book store and a cafe! Have enjoyed several plays there and they have friendly and attentive staff that makes your visit very comfy. Best part is the valued priced tickets due to subsidized cost! I would definitely recommend visiting here to see a show!

Saw the play, The Hot Wing King. (Great opening, slow middle, powerful 2nd half.) Nice, cozy theater. Seems like there are three theaters on the premises. Friendly staff. The cafe could expand their menu a bit to include more vegan and nut-free options. Lovely restrooms. Theater Row. Closer to 10th Avenue.

Loved the intimate setting of the Kinney. Performers are super close to the audience and the one time I have been here, audiencevfrom the front row were pulled into the play multiple times! The lobby space outside the theatres is quite nice as well and not a bad option to grab a quick drink/ snack before the performance.

Saw the production of Suzi-Lori Parks play, Venus. It was amazing!!! Ive read the play in the past and was a bit unsure on how it would look on stage. I imagine that this was the perfect theater. The cast performed beautifully and gave life to the words I had read. Definitely want to go here again and watch another Parks play or anything else thats offered. The bookshop was great as well. They had a ton of plays to leaf through.Im definitely coming again!

Such a great theatre space, and for one main reason: there is SPACE to move around in! Entrance is huge. Lobby is huge. Hallways and walkways and huge. Bathrooms are.. well, you get the point. The place was designed to accommodate people and therefore be able to handle multiple performances at once and not have the patrons squashed together like sardines. But, the performances, performers, and scripts have to be good too. I just saw the now closed Octet..very nice piece. Cant wait to go back for something else now!

Great Off-Broadway theater center located near Theater Row on West 42nd St. Loved its bold and modern interior design, large lobby with a cafe, a gift shop, and plenty of sitting spaces. Very interesting building with multiple theatres. The only neg was the wood in the decor looked cheap. Anyway, they have a little bar with drinks and chips and some candy. (The iced coffee was really good.) And they have a really cool gift shop with lots of Kikkerland and other cool products and stuff from their various shows, like t-shirts, mugs with RBG (Ruth Bader Ginsberg), a seven-year pen that says F#@k it. (but actually spelled out), and lots more. I got a dish towel that says Hangry, a Kikkerland pocket magnifier, a cool pencil that apparently you dont have to apply as much pressure when writing, and something else I cant remember right now.We saw Cambodian Rock Band, which was in previews, last night. Really cool. The concept, script, actors, music, set &, especially, the lighting designs... all were on-point. Little hickup with the set so intermission was a tiny bit longer than originally planned, but otherwise it was fantastic. (The longer intermission gave us a chance to socialize a bit longer, so no complaints. )Highly recommended to see this show while you can.

The theater was clean, sleek and very modern. Unfortunately, the show mediocre at best. It was Because I Could Not Stop: An Encounter with Emily Dickerson. Stop, they should have before they wrote it, staged it, and made the cheap costumes for it. It has the potential for being a great show; just not on the night I saw it.

We went to see Curse of the Starving Class, a play written by Sam Shephard(1943-2017 RIP) and we were blown away. The theater itself is very modern and classy, and has a adequate snack bar/beer or cocktails area. The staff were super-friendly and cordial. As for the play itself, it was a deep look into how addiction ruins families and friendships. Kudos to David Warshofsky, who played Weston.. Great Acting! Thumbs up to this whole experience.

What a cool theater, and what a terrific time we had at the hilarious/moving/brilliantly performed Our Lady of 121st Street. Lovely venue. On the night i was there, Lynn Nottage was giving a talk and the patrons for the event and those just there overlapped. I ended up having to move two chairs from a totally separate area to accommodate my lady; afterwhich I was question and not serviced in a way that made me feel welcome. I take it as a simple lack of oversight. Still a lovely place. The digital screen are innovative as well. Loved those

An unassuming building that houses a cafe, a gift shop, and three theaters on the second floor. The café is open for lunch and available for social functions on certain evenings. Menu selections are extremely limited, but I prefer to come here to just sit and read.Considerably newer, cleaner, and more spacious than the dingy and cramped legacy theaters on Broadway, the Signature also seems to lack the grouchy old hags who frequently appear as ushers. Expect a bag check on the first floor next to the box office.

Good theater with socially focused themes at a low ticket price. Ive seen all their plays in the past two years, and I would rate them all between good and great. One thing I love about this theater is the wide range of variation in the stage designs: each play has a unique style, and they display mastery of stage designs in every occasion. The 2016 cycle gave me the impression that the theater was trying to be edgy with their plays, but moderating itself too much and falling flat; the 2017 cycle left me happier, I felt the plays gave the topics a better rounded treatment, so Ill be happy to patron the theater for the next year.
