We went for the Knight and Rook room. We were excited to try this place as none of us had been before and they were offering a promo in September for $22 a person. Something went wrong when we checked out and we were charged the full $28 a person price. I did ask the attendant at the room if they could provide us a gift card maybe for a future room or was there anything we could do to correct and he said that he couldnt do anything about it.The room was very dimly lit which didnt add anything to the experience. Ive done some escape rooms at other venues that had the lights completely turned off and provided flashlights but it very much lent itself to the theme of the room. The lights in this room were just an annoying inconvenience. We solved the room in about half the time that was allotted. The one clue that we needed from the operator was because the room was too dim to see. The room itself was very stark in regards to decor and didnt feel very immersive.Also, this seems silly as a complaint but all the ads show a chess board. We were really anticipating that to be worked into the puzzle of the room in a fun way. There wasnt even a chess set in the room.

We had not done an escape room before and this was AWESOME! The hints they gave us were cryptic yet understandable and made the day so much fun! We will definitely do this again!

Very well made rooms! We did the amnesia room, it was nice and challenging. We had a ton of fun and we barely escaped! I love they they play music in the background for effect and the rooms are well decorated to the theme. AWESOME! Worth it!

I like this escape room but the price was excessive $29 per person probably because you think you can get more because your in Gilbert or more like the board of Gilbert. Other then that it was fun! Id come back again though but not too soon!

Wonderful experience!!!! My parents were in town and have limited mobility. And, my 10 year old wanted to do something active. We walked in, they let us do the pirate room. We didnt complete it in time. BUT, when they opened the door they helped us complete it and we still got the experience of completing it!Then we got to tour the other rooms and get our pictures taken. I will totally go back it was a wonderful experience for all of us!

Had a Great time with the family! even my little boy was excited and had a blast. clean, lit enough to work puzzles but maontained atmosphere of the escape room. Good variety of puzzles to solve for locks, but would have preferred more physical puzzles with original designs. Great variett of rooms to choose from, as well.

Loved this experience! We did the Crimson Storm with six people and it made us work yet was so fun. Highly recommend you play with people who like puzzles and can stay cool under pressure. The staff was helpful and friendly; the rules were clearly explained at the beginning and easy to follow. Will be visiting again!

We were a group of first timers and found the experience challenging but fun. Everything was explained well and the extra clues helped us a lot during the game! I would recommend this for a family or a group of friends.

My family and I had a great time at Gilbert Escape Room. The rooms are well-built and will entertain you for the fastest hour of your life. We plan on doing all the different rooms. Prices are also very competitive with specials from Mon-Thurs. Highly recommend Gilbert Escape Room if you havent tried it.

My kids surprised me for my birthday and brought me to the Phoenix Escape Room/Gilbert. I had always wanted to do one and was so excited to try. The guys that work there are very nice. Easy sign in process and good directions (even though they are sparse...on purpose). The game was certainly challenging. The host watches you from a monitor and if you really seem stuck will offer a hint. Not too much but enough to keep you from spending too much time on a dead end. Dont get me wrong, they certainly do not give the game away. Obviously, since there are many more failures than wins. But, enough to keep the game fun. We escaped with just over a minute to spare. The success rate of the particular room we were in is only 14% so we were pretty proud of ourselves. It was great fun and we will definitely do it again. PS - The little wine bistro next door is a great place to go for dinner after you finish your escape. Very quaint and the food is excellent!

We did the pirate room for a girls night out and it was so much fun!! The staff were so great! We were thrilled to finish the room with time to spare! The puzzles were so fun to figure out! Really awesome job! The whole experience makes me want to go back again and try all the rooms!

Its an hour of great fun. Should you get stuck and things start getting frustrating, they provide you with a well-worded clue to get you back on track. If you enjoy solving puzzles and think you might also enjoy the added intensity of some time pressure, this is for you! This was our second visit, where we did Cashout. It definitely was more of a challenge than the Knight & Rook room we did previously, but we still managed to escape in time. We greatly enjoyed both sessions. Hats off to Gilbert Escape Room!

My son chose the Crimson Room to go to with his friends to celebrate his 11th Birthday. Christian was so patient and helpful with my son and his friends and they had so much fun! Although they didnt solve it within the hour, Christian took the time to walk them through the end so they could solve the last riddle. The kids loved it and my worries were all relieved since my biggest worry was having upset kids if they didnt escape the room. We definitely recommend Gilbert Escape Room!

Four of us did the Crimson Storm room and it was a blast! One of our party was a little late getting there but the staff were very gracious with us. The themed detail in the room was superb and the puzzles were quite challenging. Two of us had never done an escape room and we barely made it out, even with a few hints. Im not the best puzzler though so this would be a good challenge for a party of 4. I would definitely come back if I lived in the area.

Ive been here twice now, doing the Crimson Storm room and the Pipe Works room, both of which had fantastic puzzles and great logical challenges. The rooms are well made, the clues just obfuscated enough for me, my friends and coworkers to have to work at them. The staff are helpful, and I like that they dont just dump clues on you. The atmosphere in both rooms was fantastic and the sound effects really help set the mood. Highly recommended.

The Amnesia room was my favourite - really fun time with my family - would definitely go again when were in the area

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and had a blast! It was our first time doing an escape room and AJ allowed us to go 5 minutes over so we could complete the final puzzle. He was extremely helpful and provided us with a 5 star experience. We will definitely be coming back :)

Awesome time at the escape room. Just hard enough without getting frustrating. We did the pipe room and finished with about 14 minutes to spare. The other half of our group just missed finishing in their room. Everyone had a great time. Well definitely come again to try a different room.

Super fun! It is so interesting how different people and their personality, skills, and talents contribute to the group toward finding and solving the clues. Its truly a collaboration. You are under the pressure of a time limit that keeps ticking away on a screen in the room. If you arent making progress or struggling to figure out a clue, you get a hint on the screen. The first time we went, I think we got something like 21 hints and we still didnt solve it when the time was up. So a staff member walked us through finishing it. Good thing - because it would have drove us crazy for weeks! The second time, we did better and solved it with time to spare - but it wasnt easy! The staff has been excellent; the experience something we continue talking about; cant wait to try another room! Were hooked!

We had a lot of fun! This has been my second escape room experience and I would recommend this place to everyone. The host was really professional and helpful. He showed us the types of locks expected to be found in the room and how to operate them. The room itself is challenging enough to squeeze your brain. If you get stuck, they give you hints so you don’t get stuck. I’ll come back to do the other rooms that they have.

We did Crimson Tide but unfortunately, 2 of the chests were already unlocked with the locks inside the chest. I pointed it out loudly multiple times at the beginning in hopes the game master would hear me and do a quick reset; but, they didnt so I assumed maybe it was intentional. At the end, I called it out and was told that maybe I forgot that I solved it already. No, I didnt and it was frustrating because it left us with extra clues.

This was a lot of fun! Loved the hints that were provided when we got stuck. A fun group activity where everyone can contribute.

The Gilbert Escape Room was the best choice for a night out that my girlfriend and I have made in a long time. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was our first time doing an escape room and while challenging it was highly enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Gilbert Escape Room for a fun new experience. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars. The staff was very friendly and the setup is well done, for the most part. We participated in the casino theme (specifying the theme because it may be specific to the issue we encountered), and when we arrived at one of the last clues (about 18 minutes left) it was no where to be found. Turns out, one of the clues was supposed to be on one of the two TV screens in the room. Unfortunately, that TV had a waterfall screen saver being shown and the operators had no clue because none of the camers have an angle allowing them to see this TV.Once they realised the issue, we were able to solve this particular puzzle and the final 2 to complete the room. Sadly, this glitch in their setup chewed up all of our remaining time. It is because of this setup failure they receive only 3 stars.We did have a lot of fun and would love to try another room, but will more than likely go to another company in the hopes we dont run into this type of issue again. When I mentioned the issue (they have speakers in the room), the lady stated yea, we have some setup issues and it happens. Unacceptable is all I could think of in the moment. There was no offer of telling us, you have more time because of our screw up.If none of the other rooms have this glitch we would be more than willing to give them another shot.

This was a really experience. It was my first time in an escape room and my wife and I had a blast! The service was great and the escape room was a challenge. Our group completed the room with 26 seconds left. We will be back again to try the other rooms.

Most fun ever, It is so well put together, WE had a great time working our way out of the room.

We did the Pipeworks escape room (competitively). This allows for up to 10 people, we had 8 people and it was a bit cramped in there; once you get to a point where you are now using both rooms at the same time. It was definitely fun and at times a bit challenging. I highly recommending looking around the room to make sure you found everything and beware sneaky competition hiding your clues. (my family is super competitive so its almost expected)

This was a first my 14 year old son and I. It was a grey time and challenging!

Weve done 7 escape rooms and have loved them. Had some out of town guests who havent done one before so thought wed try Crimson Storm. Kailen was terrific getting us set up and going over what to expect in this room. We had a blast and so did our guests - so much so that we wanted to do another one. Knight and Rook was available so we did that one as well. Like how how your progress is monitored and clues are only given as needed - think we had the perfect amount of help and didnt have to worry if we were way off track and waiting too long or using hints too early. We were having such a good time that we almost did a third room - we might still be back in the next day or two to do another one while our guests are still in town!

We did the Crimson Storm puzzle. Great escape room experience! Friendly staff was able to accommodate us last minute with no problem after the online booking glitched on us. Great theming and crafting in the rooms with a variety of puzzles! We will be coming back again ourselves and recommending them to friends.

Cool family experience not a bad way to spend quality time with the kids!

Our group of 4 couples divided into two separate but connected rooms to solve similar puzzles. The puzzles were challenging and we could share clues between the rooms occasionally, but were trying to race each other. As we were solving the puzzles, the game supervisor could give us written clues on the TV screen in the room based on observations of our progress. They were never direct answers but turned us around from dead ends. One of our teams solved the room exit within 45 minutes and our team made it by 50 minutes. Of course we were mostly HW/SW engineers in a technical roo. We had LOTS of fun and teamwork was rewarded

Booked and purchased many, many things online and never had a problem. But, apparently when we booked our Gilbert Escape Room we failed to complete the process, even though all information was entered and “Pay Now” was clicked. So we show up for some fun and learn the bad news; not a problem, things happen. The problem - the attendant was giddy as he informed a group of 5 that we would not be playing. He made no offer of another time slot, room or joining another group. He all but laughed in our faces. He is a punk with no idea what customer service looks like. We will not be going to Gilbert/Phoenix Escape Room ever, and all five of us will tell everyone we know to go anywhere else. Thanks for nothing.

Dont waste your time going here. We made our reservation to be a team of 4 people. When we arrived we were told we had to be in two separate rooms with two on two competition to see who could solve first. We said no, we wanted to work as one team but were told that was impossible. After we finished we realized we could have been set up to work as one team and complained to the game master. He said his colleague offered us the option to compete as one team but we refused. A total lie. One of the locks was defective and needed to be replaced. The number alignment marks were completely worn off so it was impossible to align the combination correctly. The attendant finally came in and opened the lock. Another combination solution puzzle was broken so we were unable to solve. The attendant gave us this combination so we could continue. The next day we called to complain about our experience and the broken room. The manager said we were offered a gift certificate due to the issues with the room and we refused. Another total lie. Why would we call to complain if we were compensated for the defective room? This place is a joke with dishonest employees. Dont waste your time and money here. Go someplace else.

Done two rooms and both were creative and fun

Played the Knight and Rook room with my brother last night and had a lot of fun. We got out in 40 minutes. It was challenging enough that each puzzle solved brought on an exhilarating feeling and the occasional hints were timely and helpful. A great mix of challenge and fun. The place and room itself was clean and well put together and the staff was friendly. Would not hesitate to go back!
