Great big park in Gilbert, you can go fishing go for a walk, play baseball ️ basketball football or soccer ️ they have batting cages and a skateboard park for the kids. You can spend time with family and friends here and watch the beautiful clouds ️ floating in the sky. A must if you are in the area.

You are looking for a lovely place to have a picnic or take the kids for an afternoon then you have come to the right park. Freestone Park not only has a pond for fishing that is stocked with most game fish you could possibly want to catch, but also three playgrounds, a very beautiful waterfall setting which is great for pictures, plenty of ducks to feed, and on the weekends they have a miniature carnival setup including a train that circles the park, carousel, and other fun rides for children. And if youre peckish on the weekends they also have food available at a concession stand. In other sections of the park there are batting cages, baseball fields, and plenty of manicured green grass to run around. This park truly has it all. I take my niece there and she absolutely loves it every single time.

We had a great time. Was really easy to reserve the Ramada online and was only $30. They made sure to put a schedule at the Ramada that showed when we reserved. Tables werent super big, but big enough for our small group. Wish bathrooms were closer to the tot lot tho. Fun time.

This park is so awesome for all it has to offer. Been here for weddings, walk the dog, fly a kite, fish, play any favorite outdoor sport, cook out and gather, amusement rides for wee ones, and skate park. I would be here everyday if I lived nearby with kids. Perfect size as not too big to walk to other areas or small and crowded. Feeding ducks my favorite. Well kept no vandals or tagging.

Ive always loved Freestone park. It has something for everyone. Parks, batting cages, volleyball nets, skatepark, softball fields, a lake with walking paths, and as a kid I loved riding my bike down the hills and ice blocking.

Awesome place to share time with family and make blasting memories, and for those who like the duckies they got them, cool train ride throughout the park, outdoor people court for the hoopers, softball fields, be safe and clean playgrounds plenty of green and great scene awesome when the sun reflects off the water just a beautiful environment all together peaceful nice trails to walk or ride bikes well-rounded activities volleyball boxes and changes to take a few swings if that should take (batting cage).

The park is beautiful. The little carnival is ok. Fun rides for little kids but the popcorn...no good. Popcorn was stale and tasted like it has been sitting and soaking in the butter. Gross.

One of the best parks we have been to. Train will take you around entire property. 4 separate kid play areas and mini amusement park with rides. Soccer fields galore and beautiful lake.

Very nice park. Good walking trails excellent soccer fields a playground a miniature scale railroad, and plenty of parking. I was there coaching a high school cross-country team and I will say while it wasnt a fast course, it sure was a fun course for the team.

This park is SO much fun for the littles! Theres a train you can ride in, luscious grass, fun equipment, and their water feature is absolutely gorgeous. There were a few different animals we saw, which was fun for the kids! Definitely going back!!

3 play grounds, several lakes, lots of side walks and a bridge. There is a train and some kiddie rides that my small children enjoy. We like to go for a picnic in the evening after school and weve hosted more than a few birthday parties by making reservations through Gilbert Parks and Rec

A beautiful park ,open to the public. The park has basketball , An area for skateboards. In addition the park has a small amusement area for young children with rides, including a train ride. Be sure to bring your own food and beverage there are no vendors available in the park.

I was out there this past weekend for a softball tournament. Very nice, clean and well maintained park. The kids seemed ro love taking the train rides. Plenty of parking and fairly quiet with the exception of the train horn from time to time.

When I visit Arizona, I always go to Freestone park. It brings back good memories from the past. Good for picnics,workouts,parties, and more. I thank the person who owns the park.

This was an amazing place. Wildlife, mostly water birds, a little amusement style park, a little railroad, grass to just lay down on, very clean and beautifully put together.

This is a beautiful park with a small lake and waterfall with loads of ducks, large playground, and a small amusement park area with three rides for children and a train that goes around the park on the three quarter mile track which I am one of the engineers. There also a snack bar where you enjoy a snack and purchase ride tickets.

It was super peaceful tonight. Went here to have a picnic and to play a board game. The ducks were adorable and great scenery. There were a couple pieces of trash on the grass, but I threw them away in the trash cans they provide.

Nice and well kept park. Theres a lot of space for picnicking, birding, fishing.... basically just to enjoy being outside. There are more attractions, but theyre closed for now.

Great place to play basketball, baseball or bring the kids. Batting cages exist, as well as a skatepark! Theres even a little train that goes around the park and a playground for the little ones.

Skateboard park is awesome!! We definitely need more of these.

I have taken my son to alot of parks in the Mesa, Gilbert & Chandler area since he was born, he is almost 6 now. This is by far the best park and chill area out of all of them. All the kids parks are shaded. Nice ponds to fish from and ride your bikes around. Just a real relaxing with the family and friends.

Seems like a really nice park, played a soccer game and everything appeared to be in good condition. Did not use the facilities but would go back with the family and other games.

Great park with many different amenities. Went to Rip City batting cages, which unfortunately do not have fast pitch softball. They do have misters and reasonable prices though.

Love the beautiful weather and the park. Spending $4.5 (three tickets, each $1.5) taking the mini-train tour to view the beautiful park in the winter afternoon is the most relaxing time. The park is very well landscape designed. Like other parks through the East Valley, its uniqueness is always mostly memorized. It isnt a place for visiting but a place to feel the difference of landscape design.

The playgrounds at this park are so nice! Super fun and best of all theyre covered and shaded! I wish I had parks like this when I was a kid lol. My son loves coming here and getting out that excess energy! There are multiple playgrounds too, one for younger children and another better suited to older kids. Between the playgrounds, ponds, and trails to run this park has something for everyone.

Been skating Freestone Skate Park for close to 20 years. The build has stood the test of time and the coping is perfect.

Peacefulness, safe place to walk my dog. Folks abide the rules of keeping dog on leash. Have been to other parks where has not been case and my baby was attacked. Very good park for families to hang out together. Nice train ride and good food. Waterfalls and lake. Fishing. Signs showing important facts for feeding ducks. Most folks dont realize how unhealthy it is to feed ducks bread.

Its a very beautiful and clean park. So many people came here for exercise, play ground, jogging, bbq, parties. Park has nice view and small lake. You will see ducks, turtles, birds and cranes too! Its so relaxing here, and quiet too! Compared to other parks, this is one of a great parks to visit and hang out.

I took my grandson there to ride the train and it was down for repairs. So, instead I bought tickets so he could ride the carousel and jet ski ride (like a merry go round). I didnt mind the nearly $7 to buy the 4 tickets (each ride takes 2 tkts to ride) but I did mind the fact that the ride literally went around just a few times and was over in 3 minutes. Besides my grandson there were 2 other children on the ride and no one waiting. I would be curious to know I this was because of the attendants or if this is just a 3 minute ride.

Such a great park. Theres a fishing pond, volleyball, baseball, soccer, a skate park, not to mention age friendly jungle gyms.

This is a great park for kiddos. It has a couple of really fun play structures for kiddos and lots of ducks and fish to feed. Plus, my little ones love running and rolling down the hills.

Still love and enjoy every part of this park! I am seeing new things to do everytime I go like this last time I saw and enjoyed sometime in the Batting Cages and that was fun! The price is fair and about the same as other cages around the city. The only knock would be that there is only a small amount of cages and they get filled pretty fast so you might have to wait but as I said theres plenty to do here. Theres Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball games going on sho you can sit back and set those or if you want ask and you might be given a chance to participate. Theres just too many things to do that I cant do them all!!

Freestone Park is so big, there is room for people and families to run and play and have a great time. Hills to roll down are always a treat. There is fishing, places to skate, an awesome recreation center, every kind of sport field, and plenty of picnic areas for groups. Its also conveniently located in Gilbert, close to Mesa. A nice dirt path on the south runs from East to West, and people walk, run or bike on it.

Very nice place to visit especially now when we need to stay away from crowds. There is a lake to walk around and see ducks, egrets, and evan a big turtle.There is a merry go round, little boats and a train for kids, but that is closed now.

Love this park!!! It’s huge! It has a train for kids, and nice playground. For teenagers there’s and skate park made out of cement. The steep hills are good for ice blocking if you know what that is. There’s a pond I think you can fish at.

Love this park! A little of everything here to enjoy the day, picnic areas are clean and plenty, great area for gatherings, a small kids area with a carousel, train ride and ferris wheel!Great walking path about a mile long, along with other activities with the park such as a batting cage, and soccer fields, this park is also on the Power Line bike trail making it a great pitstop for bicyclists. Best of all is the scenery, ducks, birds, and wildlife along the trails.

Freestone Park is beautiful and well kept. Always has visitors bike riding, jogging, picknicing, or just walking around enjoying the openess of the park. Winter doesnt keep people from enjoying its environment! And summer is filled with children and parties of one sort or another. Who can say no to riding the train all around the park!

A fine park. 2 playground kinda far apart from each other. The South/east structure is much better for little kids. Lots of fields and a lake with ducks.

We love the place, love feeding the ducks and big green space to just run or roll down the hill. Big playground can be terrifying with younger kids tho.bathrooms smell bad despite being clean.

Great place to have scripture studies, read, relax...or do wedding photos. Every time we were there, someone was doing a photo shoot of some sort. :-) Thats just how beautiful and peaceful it is. Good parking. Basketball courts. Shaded areas. Clean!

This is a great venue. We have had Christmas parties here a few times and the size of the park, parking and accessibility to the park is awesome. I have only been here for large functions but the diversity and all the things available to you is phenomenal

This park is huge and has it all! Very well maintained! Softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, batting cages, skate park, ponds full of fish and ducks, a train for the little ones, multiple playgrounds. BBQ grills... The perfect park to spend an afternoon. We go at least one a week!

Kind of a ghost town right now, but a very nice park. The normally trafficked areas are growing grass. So, overall the park has never looked so good. This park has several nice features, but most are closed at this time due to COVID-19. There is a small fee for the gym, less if Gilbert resident. The gym has basketball, indoor racquetball, climbing wall, gym, walking track and classes. Nice kid programs. But, the gym should be closed due to COVID-19, at this time. A railroad track for young kids and small amusement park. Closed. Really nice softball fields. Maybe closed. Two lakes with sun fish, Catfish, Bass and trout in the winter months. Water is a funny died color, so you may need to limit the fish you eat out of the lake. Bathrooms were open, thank God! Great place for Pokemon Go. Also outdoor tennis courts, sand volleyball, outdoor basketball courts and skateboarding area. Located on the SE corner of Linsey Rd. and Guadalupe Rd.

There is not enough shade for the softball fields. Playing here, or watching someone you love play here, is like torture. Several players succumbed to heat exhaustion, and one passed out briefly. Its a nice park otherwise.

Nice place to walk and enjoy the birds. Good place for kids to play on the equipment. Just watch out for the kids on the scooters going way too fast! A young girl flew past us really close. Then she ran into a little boy, knocking him down!!!
