Very popular on the weekends. Remember this is a water retention area as well as a park. So keep in mind some mosquito repellent and that water could be present. Check the weather.

What a great park took our dog for a walk. This is a great place for dogs and people.

Large open grassy field thats lower than the surrounding roads so you really feel like your outside of the city. Watch out for mosquitoes this time of year. Lots of brush on the edges of the park

Great place for photos. There were a lot of photographers there taking family pictures when we were there.

Good ground for playing Cricket. It is one the ACA ground for playing league games. The only draw back is you cant play a game both sides due to the water logging. We can only play on one side. Its a batting paradise. Lot of people come to this ground to practice their drones and copters. Amature and professional photographer do their photoshoots on this ground. Its a good place to hang out with friends. There is not rest room facility. They have a parking lot.

Good site for photos. Just remember mosquitoes and big bumblebees live here.

Absolutely beautiful. A total oasis

This is a nice little hidden park that feels almost like you arent in AZ anymore. There arent many amenities here like playgrounds or restrooms but its a great spot for a family photo shoot.When we went there there was a cricket match just wrapping up. Im not a cricketer, but the pitch seemed to be pretty well maintained.The kids enjoyed seeing some of the wild bunnies coming out to graze.All in all this is a nice little park that Ive driven by numerous times thinking there was little more to it than the parking lot. Im glad to be shown it has much more.

Nice location, yellow grass in the winter months but green during the summer. Some families that visit leave their garbage here :( We try to clean up every time we go there. Other than that its nice.

Nice grassy area with jungle gym, swings, baseball and soccer/football field areas. Theres a public water fountain of you forget to bring your own beverage. Its really beautiful. Great views of the mountain too. I came out to watch my cousin play flag football. There was a food vendor there that sold sweet crushed ice.

Great place to run. Quiet and there is plenty of room too. A bonus is the hill to the right. If preparing for a Spartan Race, this is a nice place to prepare.

Beautiful park but nothing really there. Nice for a walk.

The park is wonderful! There are so many activities you can enjoy here. As you enter the park you will pass a large covered fishing dock that is great for crappie, small catfish and bass as well. Nearby is a beach and swimming area. Further into the park there are softball, baseball fields and a beach volleyball court. There are great walking and riding trails. There are several old rock buildings that are great for a get together or just enjoying a cookout. Nearby there is a full playground for kids, and camping sites as well. There is also a new dock on the East side of the lake that is wonderful. Ive loved to fish here since I was young. This is a great place to enjoy just a few hours or an entire day.

Large open field, great for family photos or your dog. Small creek runs along the south end of the park.

This is a very wide open and beautiful spot for taking pictures. I do not advice going a day after rain. We had a photo appointment at 4pm the day after a rainstorm and the field was still soggy. The shoes I wore ended up getting soaked thru and ruined. Just a piece of advice!

I wouldnt call this a park. More like an open field with lots of surrounding nice trees and scenery. No playground just open field.

It was just a beautiful day out there

This is a great family stop for any season. It features an historic railroad engine and car, splash pool, horseshoe pit and three giant climbing structures. There are three covered picnic areas to accomodate well over 100 people each, with convenient barbecue grills. Great for kids up to pre-teen,l young children and adults. Went there with my grandkids when they reopened the park , We were quite impressed with the new play equipment. One of the best parks around .

This is my all-time favorite park to visit in Gilbert when I just want to get away from the general population. The mornings there the basin can be 20 degrees cooler than the surrounding area many drone hobbyist flying above. The mid day is quiet. Evening you may see families taking group photos or perhaps wedding photography, or a local youth sports team hard at practice. If you are very lucky there are two coyotes that call the park home that you could see at dawn or dusk.

For playing cricket its very good ground. But i didnt rate 5 star because its not convenient to take all the equipments to the field.

Great place to take photos, as everyone knows already! We went there when it was irrigated (I heard they do it Wednesdays) so please beware, it gets very slippery and muddy. The trees are gorgeous for photos. Lots of green grass and scenery. Busy on weekends with people doing photos!

This is a beautiful location for many fields sports to practice in or for local photographers to get an autumn feel for their clients. Tree line takes from the usual desert background and adds a wooded feel.
