The Gilbert Historical Museum is a gem. The staff is friendly and helpful. The museum is housed in a converted mission style grammar school with each room filled with themed artifacts from Gilberts early history. Well worth a stop here.
Really nice Musuem. The staff greeted us upon entering and gave us clear directions on how to self tour. The fee was just $5 for seniors. The self tour map was easy to follow. The Musuem is situated in Gilberts old elementary school built in 1913. The building had been well maintained and is a perfect setting for a local town Musuem. We enjoyed the no pressure self tour and we spent at least 2 hours before leaving for lunch. We probably will bring other family members in the future.
Its interesting. School house rooms, old time kitchen, farm tools. The coolest is train in basement!
We live in Gilbert and decided to make a trip here and family enjoyed it. Our kids loved the play train set up in the lower level and military room.
Great Meeting and Experience
Very interesting. Some good history of Gilbert.
Well done! Spacious, and the stories showcase how families build a community.
