Came with an elderly special needs client. He really enjoyed this it is self guided so we were able to take our time I was able to read the descriptions of the very old & cool trucks! Lots of smaller things to look at all fire related. They even had a 9/11 steel nail that you are able to touch. So much history about the city and the fires that have occurred over time.

Cute little museum. Lots of history and you can get really close to some old fire trucks. There is a little kid movie on fire safety if the little ones can sit through it. Not a huge place but some interesting stuff

This is a the perfect place to learn about the history or firefighters in Colorado Springs. They have a few historical trucks and a spot upstairs for photos and a video for children. Admission is free and donations are welcome. Our 9 year old even received a little treat for his. Terrific place to spend and hour or so and Marty, the docent, is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Perfect for my three year old. Fun trucks and old equipment. Great Timon and pumba fire safety video and we got stickers! What more could you ask for?? We were there about 45 minutes. It was a great outing and its free with a donation box. For a few bucks it was a perfect rainy afternoon stop.

A very interesting museum of fire fighting equipment used in Colorado Springs Fire Department through the years. Lots of history and stories about CSFD and Colorado Springs. Very nice facility. Kids enjoyed it and were given a little Fire Fighter hat and badge sticker that they enjoyed. Its was free of charge.

Im a fan of all fire apparatus and visit fire museums everywhere I can. Colorado Springs fire museum is a must see attraction for residents and visitors alike. There are hard to find pieces here that are fully restored, fully equipped, and could roll out today if needed. Im thinking of the fully restored steam pumper ready to be towed or hitched as it stands, the 1941 American LaFrance, and -- incredibly -- the 1924 Ahrens-Fox. There are many artifacts here showing the departments entire history. The unique feature to it all is that all the equipment shown spent their service life in the CSFD.Must See!

The museum is FREE (donations encouraged) and has lots of history of the Colorado Springs Fire Department, including some very old fire trucks! Even if fire department history isnt your interest or forte, its worth a stop in if you have some time to kill.
