Highly recommend visiting this historic house turned museum that is located in the heart of Colorado Springs. As a transplant, after 7 years this was my 1st visit to the museum.Key in learning our citys history and beginnings and the impact the McAllister family had on Colorado Springs.Great price.Knowledgeable, kind, professional museum curator. Appreciate learning about all the rich history, every single question we had was answered.Great tour that takes about 45 minutes (depending on how many questions you ask).Perfect for locals, visiting guests.Entrance price is very reasonablePrivate parking lot.NOT open on Mondays.

This was my second time there. Colorado Springs has an interesting history that is worth learning about. The Mcalisters house is a must see for the tourist and the native alike.

What an amazing experience! I was so thankful to be able to show up at the right time for a tour before they closed. The your was so informational, deep rooted and eye opening. I am a native to Colorado Springs and to have an eye here in 1870s is completely amazing. Thank you for all of the funds that support this museum, this phenomenal mark in history. I highly recommend this museum interested to deepen their knowledge for the history of Colorado Springs.

Changed my review because: was told if you review the musuem you get a free tour for your party. Which was untrue. Secondly, inconsisent pricing. Was charged 8.00 dollars per person for adults the first time and on the second visit was charged 5.00. Overall bad experience and terrible managment. The open to the public sign was presence and we were turned away. If you are not open for business the sign should not be up.

Just a neat little find in the middle of town. Go here, explore. The price is affordable and the tour guide I encountered was friendly and joyful. If/when I return, I hope to have the same experience and learn more about the founders of Colorado Springs. :D
