At my age, I learned and saw so much! This museum is well documented with all kinds of money and the history of the money. They have an amazing coin collection of Harry Bass. As I was looking at this massive collection and wondered where he found all these amazing coins. A must see!

Not a large museum but well laid out and densely packed with examples of money and its historical context. After a while the sheer number of coins to view gets a bit overwhelming, so I especially appreciated the additional historical items from the same eras.

Today was a free day. Im so glad that I went. Their theme was WWI. The collection of coins is absolutely incredible. They actually are displaying a coin worth 7 million and a permanent collection of coins with rarity 8 classifications meaning it is 1 of 8 left in the world, worth 300 million. There was so much to see, read and learn from. This museum was fascinating. This is a must to see if you are visiting or even live here. I will absolutely be back.

This place was very cool! We ended up visiting on the third Saturday of the month which happened to be free admission. The staff was very informative and accommodating. We walked around all of the exhibits and were shown a demonstration on the coin minting process. The instructor was very knowledgeable and engaging. We each left with a coin from the demonstration. The kiddos (age 10 and 12) really enjoyed it. Highly recommend a visit!

Great place to learn about the history of money. There are displays that take you through the different wars and corresponding different forms of money. Kids area to keep the kids occupied. Small but adequate gift shop. There is a separate vault area for rate coins with good explanations of each. Some of the coins seen on the show Pawn Stars are here. Think Double Eagle. The printing press from the Denver Mint is also neat. One hour to skim everything to 1 day to read everything.

Such a fun place for adults and kiddos. We started with the World War 1 section, complete with money and items from both sides of the war. The section was enhanced with a replica of a bunker and a periscope that shows the war above. It also has two Morse code telegraph machines that communicate with each other from across the room. My kiddos liked looking at the coins, then doing an activity and then going back to the money. It also has a unique personal collection that is very well done. Dont miss the downstairs - coins from around the world, how to determine counterfeit money, and a unique kids section. My boys also loved the treasure chest at the end where they picked a coin to take home. Thank you for a lovely morning!

Amazing place to visit! Perfect for collectors and even for people who know nothing about currency. Mainly focusing on coins, they have a fair share of exhibits featuring interesting things like old gold scales and paper money and even a functioning printing press. Small but well organized. I spent an hour there but I could easily come back for half a day looking around at what they have to offer and teach. Great place. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved our visit here. It was cool to see how history and human currency interact. As a history buff and an art and design nerd we were both very entertained by what they had on display. Also, their library has many old books which could have some hidden typography jems hidden away as well.Being right across from the art museum it is a very convenient and fun way to spend an hour or so.

Theres a good amount of info here on all types of money. Its a great place to see and understand about the different types of money, historical types of currency and rare types as well. Downstairs, there is a coin stamping machine - fun to learn how its done. Kid activities here as well, so bring the family. Favorite thing I saw there: First paper currency from China, printed on tree bark.

A hidden gem! Ive driven by for years, not realizing how big of a collection lie within. Lots of rare US coins, great displays - including regional mining and minting and a WWII currency exhibit. Fantastic place that chronicals the history of money. May look small but each display captivates you when you think about the hands that the coins have passed from and the travels they have taken before arriving at the museum. Many rare coins from Europe go back even further in time with each display telling a story. Come early, because once you start touring, time will fly. You really will be amazed at the collections.

Everything (and more) that you want to know about money from around the world. Most of the money focuses on US money but they have coins from all countries. It is a great place to learn the history of the American Dollar. They even have a room dedicated to the Gold Coin Currency, and the Civil War Currency display was Great! We found it far more engaging than expected! Its so well done that theres a tension between reading the explanations and actually looking at the coins. Wow!
