Awesome place glad I came. $10 dollars gets you in for unlimited play and $4 dollars unlimited soda. Also. The cider is good definitely catch a buzz. Great for group events. The games range from. Nostalgic the Simpson to guitar hero. Also the selection on pinball machines is good. Overall this place makes for a great date night or family get away. Also the food well the pizza is full of flavor but get 3 if u really hungry cause its small which is a snack.

Awesome place, so fun. Probably the most fun thing to do in Austin. Great cider, great games (unlimited free play for $10 is awesome) and great pizza, not much more to say than that.

Really enjoyable environment and good pizza, however, I recently checked my bank about a month after visiting to find a charge of $32.44 from cidercade. I looked back and found that I had been charged $32.44 for entry for two people (despite the advertised $10 a person) when I had initially visited in addition to this $32.44 charge out of nowhere. I filled out their contact form, attempted to call multiple times, text e-mail and received no response at all. I dont have a whole lot of money and I only went the one time as a one time treat. I am leaving a low rating on the basis that I cant get any kind of response or explanation to why I was both overcharged and recharged despite trying all contact methods.Edit: I have since been refunded, I believe it was a communication error from a noisy environment talking with masks.

Great prices. A door fee to get in and then unlimited free games. Loved it! The patio area is amazing. Would be nice if the patio had bug zappers but still amazing. The choice of games is mind blowing! I didnt take any pics - was having too much fun.

Visited Cidercade on Labor Day and shortly after their opening, so it was pretty busy. However, my partner and I really enjoyed ourselves. We got memberships. 10 dollars gets you all the plays you want, 15 gets you a months worth of plays plus member features. Packed full of a huge variety of games that’ll appeal to all ages. $4 unlimited fountain drinks by Main Root (YUM!) Super cool lounge area, cafeteria, outdoor seating including tables with swings (NOT JOKING) Oh, and great view from the back patio. Highly recommend this place for pretty much any age.

What a great use of space! The number of games they have is perfect. Missing a few games I would really have liked to see (TMNT & Mario Kart) but has a few surprises (Sonic the hedgehog & Ninja Gaiden) and plenty of classics too. Their cider is great, I love the huge variety they have vs in store. The pizza was probably the best part of the experience. Others are correct about it being a bit hot in certain areas (pinball room) but it didnt bother me much. Absolutely fantastic time and Ill definitely be back.

Awesome new arcade in town, $10 can get you free play all day on a huge variety on games and pinball, or a $15 monthly pass. Reasonably priced drinks for the area. Great view of downtown from the patio area. Only gripe is it gets really hot in the summer. A competitor to both Pinballz and Eastciders.

Really well put together for only being their second night open. I did notice some areas inside were hot like others said, but it wasnt a big deal or even worth mentioning to us. Almost every game that we touched worked! Not every game is very fun or intuitive though.Drinks and food were very quick, and we loved that they would text you when your order was ready. The QR code for the menu didnt link to the correct page though. We also loved that you could text the restaurant itself, that was awesome. Also really liked that you could see the skyline from the porch while eating.Kudos too for enforcing masks, my wife forgot to put hers back on after drinking and staff politely asked her to return it to her face. Lots of things to love about this place

They charged us a 20% tip on the $10 admission, but the owner corrected it. Be sure to check your receipts. Other than that it was nice there, cool AC. They had a mix of older and newer games. The ciders were good and the pizza and dessert pizza was good. There was also an outdoor patio area. Gets busy on the weekend.

This is probably the best bar-arcade in Texas! Its $10 to play unlimited arcade games, including my favorite: Killer Queen. They serve a variety of hard cider and delicious pizza. The seating inside and out is perfect, and it has a great view of downtown Austin. I highly recommend if you like having fun and playing cool arcade games (i.e. pinball, 80s favorites, basketball, racing, etc).

They had the essentials out as far as covid spacing went. Game selection was okay, the pinball selection is where its at though, game wise. Mostly modern licensed Sterm tablesOrdered 3 different ciders and a 10 Margarita pizza which is thin crust. Enjoyed the melty pizza on the boardwalk area facing downtown across the river.Drinks and service were mediocre but I get it.

The location and staff were both awesome. I cannot emphasize enough how nice and welcoming the employees were. But unfortunately my time was cut short; willingly, anyway.During the current pandemic they require you to wear a mask (rightfully so), but it’s so incredibly loud that it’s impossible to socially distance as I had to lean in to hear the employee’s instructions. Not a major deal, but more on this later.I think I counted over 80 arcade cabinets (probably even more including pinball machines), but I only saw about 5 I wanted to play (no Time Crisis, Galaga, Taiko no Tatsujin, Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon, Gauntlet, Qbert, Turtles In Time, Paperboy, or most depressing of all, no House of the Dead cabinets - there are 6 HotD games and they didn’t even have one). If they DID have a good game, they only had one cabinet and it was occupied. All of the good games were being absolutely CAMPED out by groups of 4-5 people and even after waiting 20 minutes the Jurassic Park shooter game was being occupied by the same two people blissfully unaware as I waited behind them. I almost wish the games WEREN’T free play so people couldn’t just keep hoarding the same machine as they slam on the “continue” button for the 40th time. This could be mitigated if they had 2+ employees stationed in 2 quadrants of the store each to tap people on the shoulders and enforce a “20-30 minute max” limit on people going overboard. Maybe not a perfect solution but something similar. The MAIN issue, really, was the customers. I happened to show up on a Saturday and didn’t realize it was about as busy as any given Apple Store. It was PACKED. And the worst part is, most of these troglodytes wore masks with their nose sticking out (may as well not be wearing one at all). I didn’t see anyone using hand sanitizer, I didn’t see any employees cleaning off the machines nor did my partner, but the hordes of friend groups huddling around one machine and making the adjacent 3 machines inaccessible to anyone that values their health put a damper on my experience to say the least. It was my first time visiting but after about 25 minutes and playing Frogger for 3 minutes my girlfriend and I agreed we’d rather leave. I approached a man at the front and he was very understanding when I diplomatically expressed my concerns and requested a refund, which he made an exception for since we weren’t there for very long. Like I said, SUPER nice staff. He said it’s frustrating to ask customers to put their masks on only to be ignored, but it seemed like the staff just sort of gave up and let these grown adult customers run around, germing up their arcade cabinets. About 10 people walked a foot in front of me as I waited for a machine to free up. Dense.I can’t speak to the food or drinks but I’d love to come back on a weekday and try some of their ciders. My partner isn’t 21 so they put an “underage” band on both of us, which was kind of silly. Just because she can’t drink doesn’t mean I care enough to SMUGGLE alcohol into her mouth in the presence of 100+ people. Might be legally mandated, though. Not sure.I was visiting for the first time from Dallas and was recommended Cidercade when a restaurant waiter serving us saw my N64 logo shirt and said I’d like it, but I think Round1 in Dallas crushes it in every conceivable way. It even has Theatrhythm Final Fantasy which is insanely niche, as well as a TON of imported Japanese machines (including Mario Kart). Granted their budget is massive so it’s an unfair comparison, but from my past experiences I was somewhat let down.Like I said, though, very nice staff. If you’re a newbie to arcade games you’ll enjoy yourself, but if you’re more seasoned you’ll be somewhat bored. I feel bad because I said I’d leave a positive review, but the unsanitary conditions made me reconsider. I think it’s going to be a dangerous place if they don’t tighten up their mask and distancing policies.

Cidercade turned out to be pretty good deal and a great change of pace from the spots on the north side of the river. As of September 6th—entry is $10 per person, drinks average $7 per drink, games are free. I didnt try the pizza, but plenty of others were ordering it.For a party of 2—i spent $60 which included a 25% tip ($15). $20 for entry and $24 for 4 drinks. There was a line and about a 15 minute wait to get in for covid-19 and social distancing measures. Arrive early or just plan to hang out in line.Overall I totally recommend a night at the cidercade.

Great spot, will be back! Love the pinball room!!! The Peach Tea cider is incredible, and Im not usually one much for cider but that one hits the spot for sure. On the room for improvement side, I know they have already addressed the insufficient A/C issue, but the bathroom faucets are too short to wash your hands without cramming your hand against the edge of the sink which is not ideal. The glare in the pinball room can be pretty vicious in the afternoons so I would like to see some window tint/curtains in the future. And the floor is uneven in some spots, but other than that, great concept, great time, great cider, and great games, Im very happy it finally opened!!!

This is everything that you wished Pinballz would be.Pizza and ciders are awesome. The 50% off pizza and admission on weekdays is absolutely the move. Staff was nice and the place was clean (no sticky controls). View from the patio is honestly insane for an arcade and makes this an awesome date night spot.Only con for me was the lack of newer games. Theres a great arcade in San Marcos (Texas Gamers Lounge) that I thought had a better curation of machines. This of course is up to personal taste and many who grew up in the 80/90s will disagree with this.Overall pretty rad and unbeatable for the price/food/drinks. Definitely a new Austin staple.

After 7pm ish they stop letting young kids in so great spot to just hang out and reminisce and some vintage arcade games. Parking may be tough after 10pm on a weekend.. Plenty of space to play and do they a good job of having hand sanitizer around. Good pizza selection and awesome choice of ciders. They do a great job trying to serve you cider quick. Was really fun! Was a little skeptical about paying $10 just to enter but it’s totally worth it. Lots of good games both new and old. The games felt clean and spread out so if you’re worried about social distancing you can definitely avoid some of the busier spots. The cider selection is huge. I didn’t know there were that many ciders but the two I had were delicious, and I’m not that big into cider. They also let me sample two others which was nice and their personal pizzas were cheap ($10-12) and were okay. I still can’t get over the “only cider” thing and thought it was bizarre they don’t have any beers in their selection, but this fact alone won’t prevent me from returning. The patio has a great view of downtown and the whole place is a good overall vibe.

This place is a Covid hotspot waiting to happen. I was shocked at how social distancing measures were not being enforced by the staff. Groups were congregating throughout the facility in close proximity, and although most were wearing masks, there were several people who were maskless in the arcade and non-seated areas. In addition, games are not distanced apart: people were standing right next to each other and I saw none of the staff wiping down machines, the buttons and joysticks all felt gross and sticky. I dont know if the owners/managers are aware, but arcade machines are all high touch surfaces and should be wiped down by staff or customers after every game, like at the gym. The hand sanitizers were questionable and smelled awful. Definitely not going back.

Great and fun place! Went here for the grand opening and the $10 pay model for unlimited play is awesome. PLEASE KEEP THIS MODEL! Its annoying having to bring change, use the tap to pay cards like Dave and Busters, or convert dollar bills to coins. If you keep this model people will keep coming back. Its simple and easy. On the other note, the outside seating is plentiful, nice, and has a great view. Never had the pizza sold there but honestly it looked AND smelled good.I WILL note that the day after going I noticed an additional charge on my card from Cidercade. Having not purchased a single drink that night I saw an additional charge of $12 on my card... So what I think happened is either 1) someone elses drinks got charged to the wrong tab or 2) they added something on after. The only reason I bring this up is because I know for a fact I purchased no drinks and saw an additional charge of $12, having only paid the original $10 for entrance. Maybe there is some sort of drink minimum(?) but I dont think so... What I am thinking probably happened is drinks were charged to the wrong card, but generally that doesnt happen.ANYWAYS... this place is most definitely better than Pinballz in North Austin. Better atmosphere, no BS with prizes/tokens... just games, ciders, and pizza. No prize, change, coins, or any of the BS. Just games and fun. Definitely plan on returning. Love the wide selection of games!

If I could rate it less I would. People who took money at the door were drunk and terrible. They also are at way more than capacity and considering we are in a pandemic I would rethink going here. They were allowing people to sneak in through a back side entrance. There was a manager in the back watching it and feeding the two girls at the front who were take money drinks. It was an absolute disgusting and terrible experience. If you want to play games pay a little extra and go to pinballz. This was terrible stay away if you value your health.
