Lovely little trail tucked away on the back side of capital lake. Much quieter & a peaceful place to walk.

The landing at the end of the walk had boards up for interpretive displays, but nothing on them. There is almost nothing interpretive about the park. The walk to it has sign describing the types of plants. But that’s it. Nice trail, but not really an “interpretive park”.

Its an excellent choice if your into jogging or going for a low impact walk.. The scenery is very nice year round and there are benches to sit on if you need a break or if your just taking in the veiw of our states Capital. The State Patrol do a great job of monitoring the area and the bathrooms are always stocked, clean, and well lit.I gave it three stars because Im not a jogger or walker and there isnt much for young children to do. However, there are two popular parks nearby.

They cut back the vegetation, but other than specific labeled tree species, there isnt much to see. Better viewing of the lake from other parks. You can cut under the freeway and get to Tumwater Historical Park.

I love the private feel of this place and the great views of the lake. I am thinking of teaching a yoga class out on the dock. It doesnt get used for much else!

Love this park! I often go jogging through here and stop off to grab some water from the fountain and cool off in the gazebo. On a hot day this is the best jogging trail in all of Olympia!

Beautiful lake and park with view of trees and the capitol building. The pathway has little pedestals with info about the different plants along it. The lake is off limits until further notice due to mud snail infestation however. There is access from the path to Tumwater Historical Park as well.

This area and trail are nice and well-maintained. There are several people who live in the woods here which was a little strange as I came through late in the evening.
