Cute park, great little lawn and playground, but a lot of litter mixed in with the sand along the entire beach. Pretty disheartening to have to chase ducklings away multiple times from trying to eat cigarette butts and plastic wrappers. Traverse City, please respect your beach environments more and clean regularly.

Had a beautiful sunset memorial for my daughter there. It was the perfect place.

Nice little beach, minus the trash all over the sand. The little ducks were very friendly, it was a gorgeous view overall!

Nice location and not too crowded on a Friday but......the groundskeeper was there running the sprinklers from 11am till 4 going over all the picnic tables and grill areas....not very accommodating. We turned them off a few times only to have them turned back on??.

Small beautiful and as the name suggests a great place to watch a sunset. It was at this park that I saw, after 60+ years for the 1st time seagulls actually hunting. And hear I thought all they ate was doritos stolen from unsuspecting tourists!

Sunset Park is in a beautiful location but the beach itself was very dirty and there were some shady people hanging around the beach around 6:00. The kids play area was very nice with the swings and grassy area, but the beach itself was covered in branches and litter. It is a shame the beach was not cleaner, this park was a lot quieter than other parts of the bay.

Very clean, nice scenery, lake was very clean an warm. Only issue that we had is there is no public restroom at the actual park. Had to use the hotel next to it.

I meet here with my cross country team and very regularly. There is nice grass and a well-kept nice Beach. Its very close to downtown which makes it very convenient. Not a super big beach but definitely a good one.

No entrance fee and it’s a nice shady Park with a beautiful beach.
