This trail has a nice loop with some mild elevation. We decided to go in the late afternoon a few hours before dusk. The trail signage is very easy to follow and as long as your on the trail, I feel it would be hard to get lost. As you start off, you can see a good bit of residential, but after the first few hundred feet or so, its very wooded and quiet. This trail is mostly fields and pine forest. There is a neat little spot where you can see some chestnut trees that were planted. These are protected and are not producing. Check out my photos to see the parking lot, signage at the lot, and the trail map. The trail is nicely taken care of. There is also a nice wooden bench overlooking some rolling hills.

A really lovely 3 mile trail through woods and meadow located at the base of Old Mission Peninsula just five minutes from downtown Traverse City. It could get crowded on holidays.

This is an awesome spread out and spacious walking area that has five different parts and Ive only visited two and a half to three of them looking forward to visiting the other two parts.. all four my kids with me and I were getting worn out ..some of it is uphill and downhill I brought my jogging stroller for my baby and it worked fine! Definitelyrecommend. Awesome spot.

One of the best places to go out into the forest and hike some trails. Not too long of a walk. Great for bringing your dogs on a leash.

Nice short hike thats close to downtown TC & on the route to the Old Mission wineries. It has good signage, some elevation & great views of East Grand Traverse Bay. Some sections are wide open, so it could be chilly on a windy winter day. Seems to get decent traffic, so would want to arrive early after fresh snowfall if planning to snowshoe.

First time hiking this particular area. Traverse an open meadow into a beautiful woods. Couple miles round trip for lower circle. The ice and snow stuck on the trees was absolutely gorgeous. The trail had been flattened out and snow shoes werent even necessary. Do recommend yaktrax or similar for a few of the inclines. Really nice easy hike. Great place to take your dog too (youll need a leash).

Some nice short loops for easy hikes at the base of the Old Mission Peninsula. You can combine the loops to make your walk as long or as short as you want. Some small hills. Lovely natural spot.

Great smaller park with a 3ish mile trail with many shorter options. There are way points at each intersection that allow you to change your path rather simply, giving many options for distance. The trail covers open field, lightly wooded, and heavily wooded areas.

This is a nice trail thats easy and close to town. Its very dog friendly, and most dogs are free range, so dont go if you take issue with that. I will say that enough dog owners are lazy about cleaning up to make dog doo an issue. The first part of the trail is nicknamed Turd Boulevard. But if you need a quick hike with your for baby, this trail is pretty good.
