I was enchanted with this place!! You dont have to be a little kid to enjoy the amenities here. As soon as you walk in the door you are amazed by how it looks. It is incredible inside!! The water park is something every kid should experience once in their life. The staff put on little games for the kids and there is little gift shops and restaurants inside as well. Its truly an adventure to go here. Definitely worth it.

Went during COVID, as my family needed a break. Did a lot of research about how mang precautions they are taking, and how theyre limiting guests. Overall, I thought the staff was kind and accommodating, and the place was clean. The food definitely needs to be improved, and I didnt think the Pup Pass was worth it, shouldve upgraded that. The arcade was nice, and they had staff walking around cleaning as we were there. Definitely overpriced, but what do you expect for an arcade at a hotel? The water park was great. Everyone working their wore a mask inside and they were cleaning while we were inside. Our toddler really enjoyed himself there. We will return in the future!

Just got back from a 2 day trip to Great Wolf Lodge with husband and our 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son. We purchased the pup pass and are so glad we did. We enjoyed the water park, breakfast, candy shoppe, story time, ice cream shop, Build A Bear Workshop and the whole place. We will come back next year!!!

Great Wolf Lodge was amazing. I was impressed with the staff and the effort they made to make this a family experience. I appreciated the cleanliness and the staff all wearing masks and sanitizing stations conveniently located throughout the lodge. The attention given to every detail makes it a wonderful location to get away. We will certainly be back.

Our overall stay was great. We bought the breakfast lunch and dinner package, with the whole Covid-19 they have a limited menu. They normally have a breakast buffet that is great but now you have a limited menu, the lunch part is good you have options of pizza, salad, some pasta, and also burgers and frys. Dinner options are limited also. I would say it really isnt worth the money. The kids like the park its enjoyable. The workers at the lodge are very friendly and helpful. They do not come into your room daily anymore either if you need something you have to call the front desk and get the towels delevered to your door. Social distancing is in place. They ask that you wear a mask and stay your distance from others.

Great place for kids and theyre doing good work amidst covid. Would have given 5 stars but our shower pooled up 2-3 every time and the air couldnt seem to find the temp it was set at which made the room too cold or too hot. So dont expect much from the rooms but thats not the real reason youre there

Pool was great. Very clean place overall. Got the room with the pullout couch and 3 bed/bunk for kids.. Pullout couch was more uncomfortable than most pullout couches of my past. Granted, its been 25 years since my body tried the pullout method of the couch variety.. The TV was like a 32 inch TV put in a spot thats obviously made for a 55-65 inch minimum. Looks odd. I understand that youre not supposed to be in the room much but Id be nice to relax with a decent TV & TV service at night.. Overlall, this place is what it is.. Like an expensive Chuck E Cheese with a great pool park.

One of the best experiences outside of a Disney Resort. The kids loved it....all the staff is super friendly and the place is kept really clean. Buy the pup and paw passes for the kids and enjoy the adventure. The rooms have ample space the suites are worth the upgraded price. Just a little extra privacy goes a long way after a long day and the fireplace at this time of year was a nice touch. Cant wait to go back.

Although Staff was great, and kids had fun for the one day we got to stay, our trip was cut short due to bed bug infestation in our room. So sad and unfortunate to break the kids heart and make them leave. Staff did make sure we got our money back and gave the kids some arcade money but it just sucks to drive hours for fun and have it end like it did. I hope they treat the whole hotel and get this resolved for the future guest. Beware Room 463

Overall we had a great time. My kids loved the water park and there was lots to do. However, we were not given any sort of information on check in about...well anything. It felt very sink or swim, figure it out yourself. So we missed some stuff before we even knew to look. There was also an issue with our door lock which was nobodys fault (things break), but I dont even think we ever received an apology for the inconvenience and it was an inconvenience. The park itself is great, the room was nice otherwise, but I wasnt as impressed with the staff.

A few things... this place is definitely better for kids 11 and under, my 13 yr old boys were bored. The pull out bed had wrappers in it, and my sons friend refused to sleep in it, the rooms were decent, not exceptionally clean, but passable, beds super comfy. Ice machines not working, and they told me when I CHECKED OUT, we could still use the park for the whole day, that would have been really useful information ahead of time! Also we needed plastic forks, and they had none, which I found strange. I would have been upset to pay the full price they normally charge! It was still pretty outrageous after the 20% discount. I do feel like the price point is too high for the experience. I personally really liked the relaxing time sun- tanning outside, floating in the lazy river and the slides. I feel like the biggest issue here was communication; even searching the website, & reading reviews I could never really get an idea of all that was at the center, even their map wasnt good at describing what was offered, they could definitely do with a better marketing team!! Also, I cannot get the life guard walk out of my head, I personally enjoyed it! Strange but satisfying; we wont be back. **one week later got a $79.50 charge for towels that were left in room! Really not impressed.

AFTER check in the lady told me they will be holding $100 on my card (which most hotels do), but they took my room stay off my card and AFTER we checked out, they had the room stay and the $100 on hold!!! So that’ll be DOUBLE you’ll have to have on your card. No one explained that. Don’t plan on spending your money until a few days after check out because it won’t be available. Also our room was never cleaned, granted it was only a few days but our garbage could have been emptied, or give us the bags and we would’ve done it! Not worth staying again, we’ll stay somewhere else and get day passes next time!!!!! Also didn’t tell us until after check in that no cash can be used there. Better have a good credit card or a lot of money in your checking account.

As we checked in we were just then told there would be a $100 hold that wouldn’t be back in our account until 10 business days, then we get up to our room and our toilet didn’t work. We texted willow and never once on our stay was the toilet fixed. We then ask about an extended rate. Told it was going to be $134.48 but then when we tried getting the extended stay we were told it wasn’t available. Also while texting Willow (the hotel room guest service) we rudely got a message back saying we needed to speak to the front desk. Needless to say our stay was least satisfactory.

Our family had SO much fun at this place. Theres no denying that they do what they do well. My only complaint is that the room cleanliness wasnt perfect (when Im paying as much as I did, my expectations are a little higher than normal). The cleanliness of everywhere else in the hotel was spot on; at water parks, the floors can be a whole horror in terms of hair and dirt/grime, etc... but they were spotless. I had no problems walking around without shoes on inside the water park area. The room, however, left a little to be desired. There was a stain on the top sheet and the pillowcase and the shower had hair in it.None of these things are enough for a bad rating or for us to not return. We will DEFINITELY be back. Its just worth mentioning when youre paying $250 a night. Do not let this deter you from going. Its still a super fun, fantastic place.

Greatwolf lodge. You have disappointed me. Prices are crazy expensive for what little they offer. They water park is over crowded and the life guards are either pacing around like they are scouring for sharks or not paying any attention. So many toddlers and kids without kids jackets on and no one batted an eye. The staff is rude. I spent 45 mins tracking someone down for pack and play for our room because I couldn’t get anyone on the phone. The rooms are dirty. Found my toddler paying with a bag of chips that we didn’t bring with us. Pretty sure she pulled it out of the couch. The food in the hotel is amazing however the staff needs to learn what personal space is. At one point a waitress showed my daughter her earring and was 2inches away from her. We were so disappointed.

I hate to do this to any hotel but wow, what a mess! We arrived with a softball tournament, that Great Wolf Lodge sponsored, we were notified upon arrival that they had shortened the water park hours due to the pandemic which just happened to be during our games. If you are considered “open” then be open not partially!!! We asked how was this fair to pay a resort fee if no one could use the resort? They informed us that there were other attractions that we could PAY for the girls to do? I relayed...I thought we already paid a ridiculously over priced fee to stay in this hotel. Also upon arrival I was told I HAD to put an additional $200 hold on my card for incidentals...well ok. But really $200? How about I just use my credit card? Nope had to put the hold. Later to find out that you absolutely DO NOT have to put a hold on my credit card. Also they had all the ice machines blocked off claiming social distancing we were here for a softball tournament that implies a great need for ice! We have players with sore muscles, water bottles in need of being filled, and just to keep our drinks cool. After speaking to their text person “Willow” we were informed we could use the park all day AFTER we checked out? Again SOFTBALL tournament, games ALL DAY, 4 and half hour drive home! Suggestions...do not sponsor events if you cannot make basic accommodations to the sport. Absolutely ridiculous will not return here...that is about 20 families you lost this weekend...if not more.

Obviously a hotel dedicated to fun for children but as an aunt it gave me great joy to accompany my niece and nephew as they swam, splashed, and snacked on sweets. They loved the suite, as did we, and they were just tall enough that we could go down the slides with them. It was so fulfilling watching them react to every little thing. I remember going as a child myself and thinking how big and magical it was. As an adult you see it in a different light but having the children with you brings out your inner kid and it becomes magical again. They have personal assistants for check in via phone, and the whole process was very smooth. I’d love to take my own children someday and give them the experience that I and many other adolescents have enjoyed previously. Great Wolf is an experience for adults and children alike, keeping magic alive with everything they do and offer. It is worth visiting at least once in your children’s lifetime.

The good: The water park itself was great for small kids. They had a blast on the slides, in the wading pool, in the hot tub, and on the lazy river. I thought the gigantic play structure was awesome, but the kids didnt take to it. The food was also very good. The bad: There were crumbs in one of our beds, and it took almost an hour for the staff to address it. The second time we called down, they said they had, forgotten our room number. Theres a Magic Quest game that seems cool in concept, however all of the quest items are crammed into tiny areas near the elevator so there are constantly groups of kids gathered in high traffic areas. The games also seemed not to be working for a lot of the players. The ugly: The log fascia on the unit next to us had fallen off exposing the insulation and building wrap underneath. See the photo.

Where to start. Wed never been, always wanted to go. Water park is ok, about on par with Soaring Eagle, and perhaps not as nice as Splash Village. Soaring Eagle is radically less expensive while even Splash Village (Im assuming a stay in the resort is part of the trip) is slightly less expensive. Upon check-in, both girls were given wolf ears to indicate their birthday and purportedly that would cause the staff to say happy birthday whenever our paths crossed theirs. Girls thought that was cool except they didnt get a happy birthday all weekend long. I bought the breakfast package which at $12 was reasonable for a buffet, except that it wasnt a buffet. you wait in line for someone to give you food, ok, covid-19, I get that. however there was next to nothing to choose from other than the same thing everyday. Typically the free breakfasts that come at less expensive hotels are much nicer. When you get a towel from the water park you have to scan your room key and then when you leave the water park you have to give the towels back. So heaven forbid youre off doing things and somebody takes one of your towels off of the chair while youre riding slides. In that case youre on the hook for a towel. Every inch of absolutely everything in this place is designed to squeeze money out of you above and beyond the much higher than typical prices you pay for staying here. Even to rent a locker for a typical family is $17. If you want a meal in the restaurant, dont expect quality food, and expect to pay a $100 for two adults and two children. We chose to go out the second night and for 20 bucks less had significantly better food at one of the local restaurants. Even the machine that squishes designs into pennies which is $0.50 at Disney or any place weve ever been is a $1.00 here. If you want a pretty average time and pay a lot of $ for it, this is the place to come. On a positive note the facility itself is very nice. The rooms themselves, unless you pay for a really big one, are just average. I think our room was roughly $350 a night which included water park.

Always a great experience, but it can be very pricey because nearly everything comes with a price. However, if you stay in the water park and dont fall victim to their blatant pursuits to market to young children it can be a great time. Dont buy into the hype if the magic wands, and $30 bubble wands. Stick to water park and the local find options and it can be an expensive yet still affordable trip. The park itself has options for all ages and pleases even parents when you see them go down the water slides. One final request which has nothing to do with Great Wolf itself. Please watch your children the lifeguards are not baby sitters. Too many parents let there kids run free at ages that cant even swim well enough to be safe. Enjoy the facility, but be sure to enjoy the experience with your family also!

Staff very knowledgeable & friendly, social distancing not strictly enforced, BUT, indicators EVERYWHERE about it. Not crowded AT all due to only 25% capacity bc of Covid19. Hand sanitizer stations everywhere, wipe down cloths/cleaner everywhere, too. Lots of amenities/activities for kids including {FREE} storytime, yoga, pics with characters. Wolf pass takes some time to gather all the goodies; just need to plan for that. Breakfast and lunch passes were good to have, except lunch you only got $10 per person to use & had to cover the rest. ALL CASHLESS DURING COVID. RFID bracelets used for room key & all charges while in park-they ask if you want a $100 hold per day on card to cover any incidental costs. Overall, water park portion wasnt as large as I had hoped/expected, but, was still very clean. Magi Quest was too involved for my 7 year old.

Review №100

Great place for kids, so much to do. Second time in two years, boys now 9/12 and still love the water park but have outgrown the younger stuff. You can buy “wands” that interact with MagiQuest stops throughout the lodge, very fun for kids. There are many planned events throughout the day to keep kids entertained. There’s a restaurant/bar, candy shop, Dunkin’ Donuts, pizza, inside the water park they sell adult drinks along with food and beverages. There really is a lot to do for a couple days. It can get expensive when you add up some of the additional options like MagiQuest and the stuffed animals and such. If you can visit during the week it’s fairly reasonable for a room which I believe always includes the park passes. Being minutes for downtown Traverse is huge for the selection of local restaurants and shopping. The rooms are showing their age; bit of mold in shower grout, some pealing of wall paper seams and noticeable ceiling repairs from leaks. It’s hard to summarize all there is in the review and photos.
