Keystone Rapids Trail is a great spot to canoe to. We started upriver at Shumsky’s canoe launch and then floated down while fly fishing the Boardman River. Trip time was about 2.5 hours with minimal paddling. We caught some brown trout and a rainbow trout. The River is deep in some places and shallow in others, and pretty fast moving at this time, but there has been some decent rainfall recently. There are some homes and rental houses that butt up to the Boardman River along this stretch and we saw 6 other people paddling kayaks and canoes along the way. If you’re looking for a fun, intermediated level canoe or kayak trip, this is a great one.
Very relaxing you can see the Rapids from the trail! Theres also a platform above the Rapids on the trail you can stop for scenery!
Nice hike with some paved walkways and a fair amount of elevation. Of the 3 Boardman River trailheads off of Beitner Rd, this one has the most parking (overflow lots across the street).
Beautiful place! And love the river
Pretty walk. Kids enjoyed it too

Beautiful
Great hiking, check it out.
Loved it! Super cool hiking trail. Spent a couple hours hiking the whole trail. The bridge and overlooks were cool and the rapids were awesome!
I havent gone on the trail, but I have gone on the rapids which is what Im here to review. Please go on these rapids if you are an experienced kayaker. Experienced: Have gone kayaking many times, and know exactly what you need to do to move your kayak around. You do not need to have experienced other rapids in order to survive. I just kayaked this spot today and she is doing great with no danger in sight. I wouldnt reccomend this part of the river for someone who has never been kayaking or is poor at controlling their vessel. Definitely class 1 rapids currently, Im not sure how they are in the spring though.
Love hiking this trail! Huge and absolutely beautiful! Last time I was there, part of it was closed for construction of the dam though.
Great trail system! Easy hike with great views and fun for the whole family.
Heat trail. It actually begins behind the YMCA building on South Airport across from Panda North and behind the Verizon store, continues to Sabin damn and then all the way up to Lone Pine Trailhead. It is a hike-in, hike-out. So no loop. But its along the Boardman River the entire way and in nature perserves so its quiet. Easy-moderate hiking with only small hills and valleys, its about 6 miles in all together. I can run it start to finish in a little less than 2 hours and I consider myself a completely average runner.
Beautiful natural area
It was beautiful I loved it great for the hole family
If you are kayaking this section of the river be aware that you should be experienced!
