Paved path by the lake with several places to sit and watch the Boardman. You can see some great sunsets here. Hold onto your hats if its windy. Lots of parking if you are looking to walk on the Boardman Lake Trail or connect to the TART.

Literally the coolest place in Traverse City! There is almost always a gentle breeze because of Boardman Lake. A great place to walk, picnic, or just sit and read. There are nice docks and a boat launch and there is also a playground at the adjacent library for kids.

The park is seemingly small but with a fun twist. The park includes a trail nearby. This actually includes planets, in our solar system, that are away from the sun positioned near the start of the boardman river. As you progress your way along the trail you see more and more planets. Its bloody brilliant.

One of my favorite spots in TC to take a break, get some air, have lunch. It has a decent bathroom available in warm seasons. There are a few grills, available. There is a large open area for tossing a ball around for your pet. There is even WiFi available! I wish there was more parking available, and that the bathrooms were open year round.

This park is a great starting point for the TART or a paddle either on Boardman lake or down the river through downtown Traverse City. The parks proximity to the library and The Filling Station (wonderful wood fired pizza and ale) makes it great for feeding mind and body.

Becoming a place where you see a bicycle at the bottom of the lake, under the pedestrian bridge. Crime scene tape. Homeless folk. Not Traverse City at its best.

Grassy, tree-lined pocket park between the rail line and river in a light industrial and residential area. Bring your lunch, the dog (on a leash), a good book and your watercolors.

Nice park right on the Boardman. Big hangout zone for the homeless folks in town. They mostly mind their own business but I dont feel like I can just let my kids run free.
