Went with my family (group of 3) and we had fun. We did the Dr. Lycan room. I’m glad we were able to get hints bc it was tougher than I thought it would be! But in a good way. I think doing this as a small group would be best, maybe 3 or 4 but I know they do larger groups as well. Definitely something different to do. I plan on going back .

My partner and I have done a couple of escape rooms previously, but not together. We went to A Narrow Escape through a Groupon and attempted The Woods. We chose Hands Off and the Riddler options as our Game Master personality.Production value was adequate. We found that the puzzles/clues style wasnt as thematic or interactive as we hoped for. Some of the clues were a bit of a stretch that didnt correlate with what they meant.Overall, the experience was fun, however I think there are places that offer a more engaging story and puzzle-solving feel.Edit: as of publishing this review I want to add that the lady who attended us was very nice and they have a 40% off on all rooms.

Had such a great time with my family! It was all our first time doing an escape room and the girls there were so nice. Although we did not escape, it was so fun trying! Highly recommend!

Well thought out with some.twists I have not seen in other escape rooms. But solve rate is less than 20% and that tells me it is a little bit too complex. Game host was very nice and pleasant.

This is a very cool escape room company. They are very different than other ones in Orlando. The rooms here are very entertaining and worth doing. The Woods was definitely our favorite. You can also bring your dogs with you inside of the escape rooms which I thought was very cool.

We did the Dr. Lycan, pretty standard room with good puzzles, definitely cant complain. Staff is always super friendly when we go. Which is just as important as the rooms themselves! So definitely would recommend checking them out.

My Husband and I had Great time. We were in Orlando for a Quick BaeCation and wanted to do something different. Different it was!! I figured since he watches a lot of crime shows such as First 48, Law and Order and The I.D. channel he would surely get this. Apparently we needed hints for most of our clues. All in all, we had such a Great time there and everyone was so nice and helpful. So if youre looking for something different while in Orlando,FL, hit up this place. Its worth your money...

First time doing an escape room and it was so much fun!! We did The Woods and weren’t able to escape in time but had a lot of fun trying! Definitely returning to try out the other rooms.

We had a lot of fun on our weekday date night. We chose the Doctor Lycan escape room. Luckily, we were the only couple who signed up for the room at that time so we didn’t have to worry about social distancing within the game. The puzzles in the room were all very well put-together. Nothing was extremely tough or too easy. The room attendant was also very helpful and with a few hints along the way we were able to escape! We had a great time and we will be back!

Our company decided to do a team building exercise here and it was a complete success! All 15 of us had a blast! Toxicity was challenging, but rewarding - we only had an hour because of our own time restraints, and we almost finished. Our other groups escaped from The Woods and Lycan.Brittany was extremely helpful with getting things set up. She was friendly and organized, and enhanced our experience.Definitely recommend

Soooo much fun and decorations was on point with great clues. It made you think but the riddles wasnt to difficult

This was my wife and my first time in an escape room. We selected the easiest theme, which was pandemic-based. We did not complete the escape, but had fun nonetheless. There were two rooms for our theme, we were only able to complete the first room of challenges. We selected the option for getting supportive hints from staff and that was a great help. We did not opt for mean hints or loud noises to scare us.Bonus: the friendly cat (Embers) greeted us on our way in and we were provided a digital photo of our experience for sharing on social media.

This was our second visit to A Narrow Escape, and it was a great time! Melissa was a wonderful narrator, and incredibly sweet too. Well be coming back soon to take on toxicity.

With so many of us participating I thought we would be able to get more of the clues. The first room went as expected and we moved on to the next quickly. However, the second room posed more of a problem as the clues were more obscure. Hints from the host added to the frustration as they did not guide us forward. With time up, our host explained the remaining clues to exit and informed us that we should have gotten it as the clues were all right here. Nope! Next time well go elsewhere.

Hardest ER my group has ever done. The staff was great, the WAY they give the hints is clever, and the room theming and story were excellent. Some of the puzzles were nonsensically hard. Good Christian company.

We had a great time and our Game Manager was great helping us with our first ever escape room...it was my daughter and I only in the room, so we didn’t know what to expect, but we got about halfway through the room with the hints from our Game manager...we will be back to try the other rooms one day, or finish the first one...

10/10!!! This was my first time ever doing an escape room and it was so much fun. We went through “The Woods” on Hands-off Director hint mode, and honestly the clues are straightforward enough that if you just take a second you can figure it out. However, if you’re struggling, no worries!! Hints are there whenever you ask. It was a blast figuring out what steps went together and how everything connected even if it may seem like it didn’t. And there are a few funny decoys that you and your party will be laughing over if you get side tracked by them.Side note for my animal lovers and/or people with allergies: they do have a cat roaming about the lobby and main area (not in the actual rooms)All in all, this was a great experience and it makes me look forward to my next escape room adventure. Thank y’all so much!!

Went with a group of 8 and did their take a Werewolf escape room. First off, the business itself is family run, and they are very inviting. I love their take on escape rooms, and just wanting their customers to have fun. Secondly, the room itself was awesome. Lots of details, tricky puzzles, and very rewarding escape condition. I am definitely going to go back. Looking forward to the two other rooms and (hopefully) additional locations in the upcoming years.

Cool idea but poorly executed

Getting straight into it, I write my reviews for constructive criticism only. Ill give as many details as I can recalling my experience.A Narrow Escape was offering a 50% discount, which I couldnt refuse. It was about forty-five minutes from the house, so we made the drive. We were a party of two, and due to the current situations, it was a private experience. We were required to call in to get the discount and pay over the phone. Not a problem, I had no issue with this. I was greeted by a young lady on the phone and explained that I saw the discount on their website. She acknowledged the cut in price, asked which game we would like to do, how many in the party, and personal information for the booking. She then asked if we wanted Hands off or Supportive. Okay, I appreciate this factor. I hate when people just come over the microphone and assist when Im already working on the puzzle.+1 on this question.The next question was what type of personality we would like. I can appreciate this too. This could make the experience more fun. Choices were the director, the riddler, or the ego. We chose the riddler. That way, the answer wasnt just blatantly given to us. We still had to think. This I was disappointed with, and Ill explain why later. The booking was made, and we were all set up. I got the first email, which showed a different total price than what was told to me on the phone. I called back and asked about it. She explained the booking system does not reflect the discount but the full price of the experience. I acknowledged and ended the call. Shortly after, I received the receipt from Square with the correct total. This could be fixed, so it doesnt confuse customers. Not a significant factor in my rating.Fast forward to arrival at the location. Easy to find, right off of Semoran, seemed to be a newer shopping center. Their building did seem small, and with three experiences, I knew the rooms were going to be small. We walked in, and a large party was already in of eight people, which filled the lobby for the most part. It took a few minutes for the girl to acknowledge our arrival, and she asked for us to sign waivers. The tablet was the same one she was using and was not COVID friendly. Sharing tablets and not being cleaned is going to cause concern for others. The waiver signing system could be better. We signed the waiver, and we then waited.We were told to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early, and we had to wait for the entire 20 minutes, which was annoying. I felt like they could have used this time better. Go ahead and have us put our stuff away, interact with your guests, start immersing them into the experience. Instead, it was a TV with corny riddles and jokes, pictures of the owners and college degrees they have, and a bunch of carnival hats all over the lobby wall. The lobby was confusing and not themed, really at all. Quickly assembled and very little thought put into it—one out of five in the lobby.Once they were ready for us, she had us put our cell phones in the locker and any other things we wanted to stow away. We then walked down the hall to the end to a random TV that played the story line for us. Again, no theming to the chosen storyline. Video was very basic and the graphics were below average. The actual story was okay, if youre into Zodiac Signs and Astrology. Once the video was over, we went into the experience.The game master was dry, not themed to the experience, and was just ready to go back to the control room. She pointed out not to touch any of the real wood, dont touch any red locks, or electrical outlets. Okay, lets stop there for a moment. Design your rooms so this is not even a topic. No reason why you could not have taken the extra time to theme the outlets to be hidden, to hide your maintenance areas, and to make your room as immersive as possible. The timer was bulky and generic. We entered, told us good luck, and the timer counted down from ten to start.Read more on Yelp review...

This family owned escape room was so amazing! Unfortunately, we arrived late to our reservation and we were the last room of the day. They informed us they would try to let us have more time but they did need to close. We understood completely, after all it was our fault. Weve been late before to other escape rooms and they didnt even let us play our room. This one did! And to top it off, they gave us a few extra hints to push us to the finish line with extra time! I felt so bad that the employees stayed past close for us so we could enjoy ourselves. I am so happy and grateful that they went out of their way to stay past their work shift. Well try not to be late in the future to all other escape rooms. No promises though! LOL

I called in May 2020, right after the Florida Lockdown ended, just looking for some safe entertainment for my family. I spoke with a woman on the phone and she was booking an escape room for my family, at $30 a person, but they had a promotion going on at the time for 50% off, and she wasn’t giving me that price. I had to stop her and question her why she wasn’t giving me the sale price, listed on the internet, and she said that she didn’t like to bring it up to people on the phone, in case they were unaware of it, so they could still charge full price. I think this is a really crummy way of doing business.I ended up not booking a room, so I can’t speak to their quality. However, I am disappointed in the service nonetheless.

Tried Toxicity.... Yea very difficult.... Need 4-8 people to succeed at this one

The Dr Lycan room is SUPPOSED to be the easiest room, but it doesnt evenremotelyresembleeasy! Weve done 6 escape rooms before this with a good level of success. Most of the clues were impossible to decipher & when we asked for a little help, the clues we got required a 2nd hint once we found them. The 1st room was very small & had a chest on 1 wall, which is what we needed to open. When we finally got it open, it led to a 2nd room that was even more challenging with even more locks & clues to find than the 1st room. We were never told about a 2nd room, or even a hint there might be. I know most escape rooms have 2 rooms, but upon entering the 1st room, there were no obvious doors, except on the chest. I would definitely have asked for more clues in the 1st room if I knew I had a whole other room waiting! I thought we had 60 minutes in the 1 room, so we werent in a rush. VERY DIFFICULT CLUES!!!

Very fun and challenging! We didn’t figure out the last lock, but it was still super entertaining and we laughed at ourselves the whole way home, pleasant staff and Ember was so cute too!!

This was my 23rd escape room. In my opinion it is a decent escape room for the area. I would rate the decor in The Woods a 5/5. The puzzles and progression of the storyline started out strong but then started to fall short and didnt flow as well to my liking. I would like to try out another room just to be sure. If that happens, Ill be sure to update.Update: Since my initial visit, Ive now played an additional 20+ rooms. I was hopeful playing another game here especially since the owner responded to my last review. While I would love to give them 5 stars, unfortunately I will keep my 4 star rating for the following...lets start with what was 5 stars...our GM was great...the concept of the room was great...the way that we had to stop and play or wed get in trouble was a great twist (Toxicity)... unfortunately, as my last review the puzzle progression was just my cup of tea. To be fair, unlike other places, they never say that you only use each thing once, but like I said not my cup of tea.

A Narrow Escape was our first escape room we have ever been to! There were 8 of us and we split into two groups to complete two different puzzles to race to the finish! The owner was absolutely amazing! He explained and gave us tips and tricks that really helped us first timers. His rooms were well thought out and the story lines will engulf you with how much he paid attention to the small details! He designs all of the rooms himself and it is absolutely impressive to see the art he has created in these puzzles. The prices were the best I have ever found in an escape room! If you need an hour out of the hot sun and dont know what to do, this should be your first pick! It was definitely the highlight to our trip to hot springs!

We did the dr. Lycan room and it was lacking. The room had great potential but alot of the props and items used needed to be of better quality. The batteries in our flashlights kept dying and the pieces of paper in the room had been crumpled up quite a bit. It was a great story but came up short because of the quality of the room.

Was disappointed with this Escape Room. We had done the Dr. Lycan room and we were REALLY hoping for something big. The backstory for it sounded amazing! When we got there it was just an incredibly quiet room. No sound effects, no ambiance. Silence. The props and clues were very worn and needed some maintenance. Many codes and clues written were worn off and hard to see, the flashlights batteries died, papers that we found were crumpled and torn(badly) from previous players. Some of the clues didnt really make sense.My biggest pet peeve was the final puzzle. Its the only reason we lost the room. (and frankly, its the only room weve ever lost...ever) They had a number (that we needed) written in black sharpie on a black background....in a room with NO lights! When our time ran out, the girl came in and asked us what we were stumped on. The showed her the code we had found. She says no, you need THIS number, and points to black sharpie on the black background. We couldnt see it. It was completely bogus. Write it in a diff color.Lastly customer service. I wont say they were mean or rude because they werent, but the girl who was with us was INCREDIBLY socially awkward and seemed meek and afraid of people. It seemed like she didnt know what to say and would just stare and stand awkwardly. Im sure shes a nice girl, but you need someone with a big personality to get people hyped for your attraction.EDITED REVIEW IN RESPONSEI believe we are being mistaken for a different party, as we got into the second room with at least 20 mins left to go, not a few seconds we solved everything in that room except the eye socket puzzle. When the room failed, The girl came in and NO lights were ever turned on, it remained dark.We werent given flashlights when we were brought into the room. We just happened to find them by accident. And yes, we did continue to mention over and over that the flashlights didnt work(and the backlights) to the point where we ended up just leaving them around.

My fiancé bought a visit to ANE for my birthday and we brought our friends. None of us had ever don’t this before but it was a BLAST! We had so much fun. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

We were extremely disappointed with how we were treated after arriving just minutes late. Part of our group was there at the the time we booked and while the rest of us were parking all three employees rushed our other friends and told them they were starting the clock for the room. Our friends told them we were right outside and the management told them to start without us while we signed paper work. Which means the other half of our group missed out on the introduction video to the room and a few discoveries from the experience. I have been to many different escape rooms and we were never forced to start the game without the entire group especially just due to a few mere minutes. For $34 per person this was not something I left feeling great about.

We recently completed their late night lock in where you do all of their rooms from 11:30PM-4:30AM. Really cool concept that more escape rooms in the area should try.Giving a negative review, however, due to staff and unreasonable policies. There was an absolute no phone in the room policy. I understand that people can take photos and post them online and it ruins the games for others. However, during a late night lock in you are the only people in the entire establishment. There are two employees dedicated to watching you play the game - the rule really needs to be changed in particular for the late night escape rooms to if we see you using your phone for unintended purposes, you are kicked out. I have a young child at home and when I said that, the staff member said well lots of people say that and then take photos anyways. Essentially insinuating that I was lying. When I got visibly offended, she said that she believed me it was just their policy. Then she said that the phone would be in the lobby...but that doesnt really help me if I get a phone call that something is wrong when Im in a room 100 feet away. I pressed her to call the owner, which she did and they allowed me to take my phone in, but it really started our game off on the wrong foot. That rule should be changed, in particular for late night lock-ins, as you are essentially going 5 hours without having your phone and there are employees dedicated to watching ONLY you in the building. Not to mention that it is in the middle of the night with all the lights off in a not-so-great shopping center...not unreasonable to think something could potentially happen where you would need a phone to call police/for help if something god forbid happened.Second, in the first room we did, we were having trouble finding something that was supposed to be there. I wont go into details because I dont want to give anything about the room away, but essentially we had solved the puzzle and something was supposed to present a code to us. We could not find said thing we were supposed to see, so we asked for a hint, the employee kept telling us well its there so you must not see it. When we pressed that what she was describing was NOT there, it was that we must have moved it. We did not move it, what was described was not where it should have been. Its not the end of the world if a game was set up incorrectly or they missed something, but own up to it and dont blame the customer.In all, we had a decent time but the games themselves are not very well put together. Judging by the responses to other reviews, the owner will come back and tell me that Im wrong somehow or that we didnt follow directions, other people love the games, etc. Our group has played almost every escape game in the Orlando market, and tons outside of this market, totaling around 75 escape games played total. Im not saying that we cant make a mistake, we definitely can, but having so much experience with others, these rooms and the staff was a disappointment and their inability to take negative feedback speaks volumes.If you are looking for another escape room in the area that is family-owned and takes feedback well, has nicely themed rooms without having a crazy budget, and has courteous staff, I would recommend places like Dare2Escape or Doldricks Escape Room.

Very dissaponted with this escape room. I have done several across the country and this was just not very well designed. The experience started bad because our guy host with long nails was just not friendly at all. He was abrupt and made us feel like we were bothering him. Think Disney guys! This is about customer service and you are always on stage.Dr Lycan had some challenges. It uses books, pages are falling apart and directions were not as obvious as they look.On the second room the water pumping mechanism failed because apparently one of our members pumped water too fast. That shouldnt happen. Also the clue that came up should have two numbers and one number was erased.My comments are to help improve the game room experience for others. Unfortunately I cannot come back here because the trust is gone.

A Narrow Escape is easily one of my favorite escape rooms. I had the opportunity to play The Woods room. There are some details in the game that made it quite memorable. A local filmmaker wrote the stories for the game and the challenges were well entertained into the game. Bravo!The game masters were friendly and courteous.The rooms were well maintained, which is key to preserving game play for players who love escape rooms.If you havent tried an escape room or you are a escape room pro... DEFINITELY stop and play at The Narrow Escape!

By far the best bang for your buck on escape rooms. No time wasting activities. Just well done puzzles to solve. The story is well thought-out and the rooms are organized to fit the story well. We had a blast and will be back for sure!

Unfortunately, was not planning to write a review but was not happy with this establishment with how they handled their feedback to my husband on our anniversary. It was our first time ever visiting an escape room. We learned alot. We were very polite and nice yet feel hurt. I feel if they take constructive criticism they can be careful what info they divulge of situations in public areas as it gives info not intended for others to view or could possibly or potentially harm or hurt others.

Ive done about 2 dozen escape rooms at this point. This one definitely towards the top. We did two of the rooms here. The woods and Toxicity. Both were good but toxicity was MUCH better, I would definitely start with that one. Its worth the extra money they charge. It had an element that I had never seen in another escape room and its really added to the immersion.The most amazing part however was the staff. They are honestly the nicest people ever and I would give my business to them for that fact alone. The other escape rooms Ive done theyre always nice, but these guys are just down to earth awesome people.

Ive been to several escape rooms over the years, but NOTHING compares to this one. A Narrow Escape is definitely my favorite! The people who work there are very friendly and the overall environment is so welcoming, I absolutely love it. If youre in the area, definitely give them a visit. Seasoned escape room artist here. Our 137th room! this was the hardest game room Ive ever been to! But it was superb! We played Toxcity and it was amazing. The objective was to hide from the killer and unfortunately we failed with that. He came into the room and terrified us! OMG!!! I almost we t myself! We escaped a few minutes after the timer. The people were so nice to use to let us have afew more minutes. Id give 100 stars if I could! Thanks for an amazing experience

Great challenging escape room

Great experience!!! First timer with 1 other person in Dr. Lycan room. Friendly owners, relaxed atmosphere!!! I would have given 5 stars if the puzzles were a bit more logical and a starting point was given with a clue to which puzzle to open next. We wasted a lot of time trying to solve on our own, but we should have made more use of asking the control room for clues, so we missed the deadline... But NO ONE could have solved this in 1 hour!!!! Not many people there, so they could have given 1.5 - 2 hrs instead and it would be PERFECT!! As it is, I will have to pay to return to finish the room and start the next one. My 71 year old dad LOVED it!!!

Price point is lower than most corporate escape rooms, it is family operated and owned, and overall the customer service is superb (I have never seen a team of professionals handle such rude and obnoxious people the way they did during my two visits. So many awful people out there) I wish them the best of luck in their future business and hope they continue to get great customers that arent out to be hurtful and aggressive.

The woods and Toxicity were GREAT !!!!! Definitely felt like you where in a real life situation. Great props, Great environments, Great Vibes, Super friendly staff. Definitely going back for the third room. They definitely gotta expand because I would love to see more rooms from them. Thank you so much for the great experience.

Went with a group of 7 for a bachelorette party. The staff was super helpful with the hints and enthusiastic. Escaped Dr. Lycan in 48mins with 7 hints.Want to go back to do their other escape rooms.

This place was so amazing! Even the environment was different from the normal! I was very emmerged i to the environment, and the pizzles were a lot of fun! The employees and managers were so friendly and pleasant! They did a great job! I plan on going again! GO TEAM BELIEVERS!

We travel visiting attractions to help others get the most for their money and rate according to our experience. First off the staff was nice. Unfortunately beyond owners control mishaps happened. Therefore their suggestion is to book 4 people in advance....and only be 2 people to enjoy it better next time but not valid on saturdays due to their busy time of the week. Eitherway its business and I understand. Its their money maker. I rated it a 3 because the set up was neat. they do have another room to try they stated. Also take note they have an adorable cat that lives inside the building and is friendly but if you are allergic to cats take note. Also they ask for your email to send you a photo they never took one. We were taken back before scheduled time so we got done before end scheduled time.Updated to a 1. I did not feel that is morally right to write a hurtful reply. Please learn constructive criticism is how a business grows but coming back to hurt others is unethical. I was never rude to you or staff. Not everyone wants water and we kindly said no thank you. We never said we wanted to rush home. We also assumed you would do the picture before but were rushed to watch a video than sent to a room early before the scheduled time as well, we also ended early. Take it for info to grow and be better. I even complimented you but apparently it was overlooked . . Also your $4 quote here is NOT what was mentioned but good for others to see. As this being our first escape room ever we learned alot too. I also do not think it was right to reply to us letting us know the other party did not enjoy us and spoke of us in a poor manner, feel like that was a jab... kinda hurtful. not business ethical or professional. Keep in mind before the other party went into the room they were upset they thought they had the room to themselves for a date so were mad they had to share with us in the first place which hurt us. We were looking forward to working with others and having fun, we were not the issue. Thank you.

AMAZING!! The best escape room I’ve ever been to. The staff is so nice, and it’s family owned. The rooms are very unique, challenging, and have great props and themes. Highly, highly recommend!!!

This is an amazing escape room site. Weve done multiple escape rooms at various sites around Orlando and this is definitely the top. The rooms are well done (we had some technical difficulties in one though) and well thought out. The fact that they have rooms that are meant to be entirely different experiences (i.e. linear vs story line) alone makes them stand out.We did their late night lock-in as well and it was absolutely the best experience and we highly recommend it. We look forward to their developments and new rooms in the future.

This place is hands down THE BEST Escape Room Ive ever been to. The detail they put into everything is phenomenal. We had so much fun we forgot we were being timed. Customer service was extraordinary, they were really sweet and even went out the way to help me surprise my boyfriend with cupcakes lol. We definitely will be going back.

My boss took us here for an office outing as a surprise and I certainly was surprised. So surprised I insisted I would wait for them on the outside I was terrified to say the least not knowing what to expect . The owner made an amazing effort to comfort me and with her encouraging effort I went through and thoroughly enjoyed the entire time . From start to finish , an absolutely amazing experience. Loved the story of how they got started too! Highly recommend!

This was our very first escape room experience and we LOVED it! The staff was really friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home! We did the Lycan room on a double date with friends and it was so much fun with lots of laughs! We didn’t “win” but still really enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to go back.

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING !!! idk where to start The rooms were amazing they had so many props and it made you feel like you were in that present moment of what ever the theme of the room is. I have done two of their rooms and may I say GOSH!! because I truly had the BEST time ever. Ive done many escape games before but nothing in this great detail. I love that its family owed and all the puzzles are done by the family and its based on real events. The owners are the SWEETEST and make you feel like family. They give you helpful hits to help u solve your puzzles which is a plus, Most escape rooms will not give u as much clues and if they do they deduct the time you have to escape. I will say that they only have three rooms and I wish they would make a second location because that would be amazing. Definitely recommend 10/10 . ALSO they have a late night where u get to do all THREE ROOMS from 12-5 am and they give you drinks and food. That is definitely on my to do list for next time.

We literally had an absolute blast. I went with a group of friends who were there to have fun and Brittany’s team made that happen. We got to experience “The Woods” room. The story line was great. The rooms were awesome. We loved every single thing about this place. Thank you guys for such an amazing experience. We will see you again soon!
