Avatar Flight Passage - your Disney trip is incomplete if you don’t try this! Experience is amazing, breath taking, spectacular. It’s an expensive technology to delivery a one of a kind experience where you felt like really riding on it!If you book a year advance maybe you’ll get fast pass for this otherwise if you are a Disney resort guest, look for days where you can go in 2 hours before they opens to public and you be able to enjoy it in less wait time otherwise on a busy season it goes up to 3 hours of wait time. Regardless it will worth your day.Washroom are just right on exit. Food is just beside the line up areas. Do check the height limit for kids. If I’m not mistaken it requires minimum 44 inches in height and they won’t consider if your child is a little bit short due to child safety during the flight. as usual gift shop right at the exit. Few interesting collectible stuff that might interest you.I have attached some outdoor site view and some image sequence of the actual flight experience so you you’ll get to have an idea of what you’ll see. Again it’s a 3D and really hard to get good images so pardon my pics if they are somewhat double vision at times because that what a regular camera see.Have fun and enjoy...

This is by far one of our most favorite rides!! This is a stimulator but it feels like you are actually flying through Pandora on the back. The first time I ever rode this we had to wait about 3 hours but in my opinion it was totally worth it. They outdid themselves with the detail and everything while you are waiting to get on the ride. We were blown away with how great they did.

This is undoubtedly the best ride in all of Disney World. It can be an excessively long wait, or it can be 1/2 hour. It seems with the new Star Wars attractions at Hollywood Studios that the lines are not quite as long for this.We waited for 30-40 minutes for this, and at that length, this is well worth it. The ride itself seats you on the back of a virtual banshee and fastens you in. You then place on the 3D glasses and become immersed in the world of Avatar, soaring through the skies, witnessing the wildlife and natives in their habitat.The ride is very action packed and exciting and if you are prone to motion sickness, probably not for you. It is extremely immersive and you will feel like you are actually there doing these things in the real environment. You can even feel the banshee breathing between your legs as its lungs expand taking breaths.

Amazing ride, I was advised to take dramamine before hand, sooo glad I did! I was able to enjoy the ride. Our favorite ride of all the parks and thats including rise of the resistance.

Great ride. Absolutely fantastic. A much deserved thank you to Brittany (at Orlando park) for helping us at the check-in for the ride in Jan. 2020. Brittany solved a technical problem with our bracelets and made a discretionary decision, which kept our group together. One act of kindness by a Disney cast member can make a huge impact.

Wow! What an amazing experience. I was so lucky to only wait 20 minutes each time I rode it. Everything about the ride is perfect. It will make you feel scared, happy and relaxed all in one ride experience. I would ride this over and over again if i could. Went during Covid pandemic and had a great time. Everyone was wearing mask and being respectful about Social distancing.

Pandora and this ride are by far one of the coolest places in Disney!! The experience at night is completely different than during the day, it almost comes to life!!The ride is simply amazing!! I waited 2.5 hours and would do it over and over again, before I went on the Star Wars rides again. Every time I come back I will not be going to Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, I will be coming back to Pandora!!

The best ride ever... any park.... This was one of the coolest experiences ever. The wait is long but it is well worth it. Everyone needs to experience this ride once in there life. I would stand in line 2 hours again just for this experience

Disney is knocking it out of the park on this one. What a spectacular experience! The closest entertainment to this would perhaps be a 4DX theater... But Flight of Passage goes well beyond that by just how immersive it really is.

This has by far been the best ride experience of all. First walking around Pandora and taking in all of the amazing realistic scenery which does the movie proud. Walking around to the ride and being totally mind blown with the effects of riding the banshee. We were lucky to have a fast pass which allowed us to be back out within 20 minutes. The stand by line was 2 hours which we would have gladly waited to experience this ride. Cant wait to do it again.

Best. Ride. Ever. This ride is safe but thrilling. Nothing compares to the feeling of actually flying and on the back of a banshee! You even feel the banshee breathing between your legs as you straddle the ride. We have been on this ride 20+ times and every time it is just as thrilling. Also, you always hear someone hooting and hollering at the end. The ride is that good. People clap and can’t stop talking about it!We were lucky to score a special even with our season passes that got us into the park with limited audience before it opened. We rode this ride 5x in a row. This ride is a must do fast pass but worth waiting in line if need be. We have burned our fast passes and still got I. Line to ride again, waiting as much as 3 hours. Worth the wait!!

This isnt your regular 3-D flight simulator. You really feel like you are on the back of a banshee flying through the air on another planet. It can get a little intense but as long as you are not afraid of a little action, I can tell you it is absolutely worth it! However, before you are ready to get on this ride, please beware that the line can be VERY long, I am talking hours long, SO be ready with super comfy shoes and water (if super hot weather) because you will need them. Would highly recommend using the FastPass on this one.

Easily the best ride! Even if you are not a huge Avatar fan, it is a must do regardless of how long the line is.

I wish I could give it a better rating but unfortunately this is the best I can do for it.Disney did an amazing job with the rides atmosphere and graphics. However the rides incredibly long line leaks into different countries with no additional signage. Just a cast member with a pole saying end of line for both avatar rides.. As someone who has not been to the parks lately I was completely lost when I saw a random floor sign saying exit for pandora. A cast member explained to me the situation so I just kept walking in between the sides/middle of the line/walkway until I saw the actual end of the line nowhere near the ride. Once that got handled my main complaint is IF YOU ARE HEAVIER ESPECIALLY IN THE THIGHS, THIS RIDE WILL NOT BE YOUR FRIEND. The stationary bike panels that push you further into the seat will leave you bruised and in pain which indicates that this seating was not measured well enough for people of all sizes. That is not a cute look disney.

One of the best attractions that Walt Disney World has to offer. You dont have to be a fan of Avatar to enjoy this attraction. You dont even have to see the movie to enjoy the attraction. Hard to describe how FOP works other than to say that you get on these motorcycle-like vehicles and then put on 3D glasses on then enter the world of Avatar. You really do feel like you are riding a banshee. Fastpass+ are very difficult to obtain for this attraction. If you choose to ride stand by, try to get there at least 30-45 minutes before advertised park opening. They often open FOP early. We did this on our last trip and only waited 60 minutes. They wait a few hours later was 3 hours long.

So unique. Probably dont go on this if youre claustrophobic.

This was an amazing VR ride on a Banshee through Pandora. It was quite intense at times as your Banshee often dives suddenly and there are times when the feel of falling is so real it is scary in a fun way. There is a point when you fly on the inside of a crashing wave. That is very fun as you fell the spray on your face. This is an A+ ride. I am glad we got two Fast Passes on separate days as the line was normally 180+ minutes. I highly recommend that you get a fast pass if you want to enjoy this ride with a short wait.

Unless you have a fast pass for this ride, the line WILL be intimidating. We were there AN HOUR before “rope drop” and were still an hour and a half back in line. Clearly people are showing up no less than an hour and a half before the park opens to get in line for Flight of Passage.ALSO, if you are NOT staying on the resort, you WON’T get a fast pass for this ride, I promise you. Not unless it’s the low point of the off season.With all that said, as a first-time rider I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought the line wasn’t going to be worth such a tremendous wait in line. But there was a great deal of beautiful and highly detailed things to look at and enjoy in line along the way. The ride itself was beyond impressive — I felt like I was part of the experience with the wind blowing through my hair, the smells of the jungle flora, the spray of the ocean on my face, the breathing and heartbeat of the banshee that we rode, and the amazing music and sound effects that we were surrounded by.It was phenomenal. Now I know why the lines here are the longest among them all. I’d dare say it’s almost better than Smuggler’s Run... almost.Don’t go mid-afternoon though. We went in peak season (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) and at one point the standby wait time was 210 MINUTES.That’s one thing I’ll also make a commentary on in terms of Animal Kingdom goes — you seem to spend WAY more time waiting in line than in other parks. It’s be worth in coming the off-peak months like January or February or right after school begins when crowds are a 2 out of 10 level and going on this ride a couple times then. But as it is, we want more ride and attraction time, so out of six days at Disney, we’re really only going to give this one day.

Must try in disney animal kingdom. Its the best stuff in the place. I was surprised by the quality.

This is not just the best theme park attraction Ive ever been on, its the best thing Ive ever done in my life. Its extremely immersive, thrilling, and even emotionally moving. This ride alone will make your trip to Disney World worth it.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. When I tell you this ride is AMAZING, that is an understatement. It is a long flight simulator, and boy is it fun! Its so realistic that I actually forgot I was in Disney World. I rode it twice! Its worth super long waits, but I have a tip: Buy tickets for the Animal Kingdom After Hours, in which you have access to the entire Animal Kingdom (except live animal attractions) and the ride lines are super short. The After Hours tickets cost more, but you get access to the whole park. It feels like you own it! Plus, Animal Kingdom is unexplainably beautiful at night. I would recommend this ride, but if you take my word, the line will be long (unless you do After Hours! Theres NO LINES AT ALL!)

Avatar flight of passage is simply one of the best rides I have ever been on. This ride is worth the wait and that can sometimes be very long. The ride is super immersive and very cool. I was able to ride this ride five times the first time I experienced it. It still was not enough - I would ride it 50 more times. This is a must every time we go to Disney now. I hope Walt Disney World builds a lot of rides like this in the future. A+ ride!!

Breathtaking! This was absolutely phenomenal!Disney has not only raised the bar, but they have set the bar for 4D rides! They created a whole new world and dropped you directly in the middle of it! They included sight, smell, feel, and sound in this ride! It honestly feels like youve been transported to Pandora!The only downside for me was the videos leading up to the ride. They were a little long. It adds to the feel but goodness if it doesnt take forever to get through them. It would be nice if youve rode it before to have the option to skip the videos.Other than that, this ride is definitely worth it! Ive been raving to everyone about it ever since I got home!

Best experience I’ve ever had in a theme park. You feel like you are riding a dragon across Pandora. It was spectacular. I will go back to Orlando only to do this ride again. The only down side is the crazy long line. Get there as early as possible. This line will only grow longer as time goes by. And, don’t miss the lab with the avatars on your way to the ride.

Very cool ride. Maybe the best ever! We rope dropped and didn’t wait very long. Get the fast pass if you can but those are difficult to come by.

It was very unique. It is by far the best ride in the park. It’s like 6-d, length, width, height, sound, smell, and motion. It really feels like you’re riding a banshee. There is 16, if I remember, seats in one area. The wait lines on this are the longest in the park. We went at 9:58 p.m., but the wait lines for normal (we got fast pass) was 90 minutes, or an hour and a half. This is a must do, but get some fast pass before you ride this.

Amazing as ever! You will never be disappointed in this ride. And now due to COVID19 wait times are less than 25min!

This is a must see if you are an Avatar fan, but the wait times are crazy. This is pretty much the EXACT same ride as Soaring at EPCOT except you are crouched down flying through an imaginary landscape vs sitting up flying through more photo realistic scenery. I think both a fake but pretty real looking. Get a fast-pass, go during a slow time, or or just go Soaring instead. It is definitely not worth a 2 hour wait.

In A Nutshell:-Avatar Flight of Passage was the BEST ride ever!-The queue is not bad at all.-The design is made so you are constantly moving, admiring the excellent details, soaking in the environment & staying cool while doing it.-There are cooling fans along the outside line, plus youre mostly shaded by the floating mountains & trees.-Once inside, A/C breezes cool you off even more.-The amount of detail is UNBELIEVABLE.-You feel immersed before you even connect to your personal avatar.-The research lab has an avatar floating in a tube, which looks so real - everyone will get an opportunity to snap a clean photo of it.-The area where you step into a chamber to match your DNA to an avatar was pretty cool.-After matching, you finally put your 3D glasses on & mount your banshee.-All you gamers out there will be thrilled w/ the haptic feedback included in the ride.-The feeling of the banshee breathing between your legs to the water splashing on your face while dodging giant waves & monster fish is REALISTIC.-Pandora makes you feel so small, diminutive & respectful of its ecosystem.-Simply mouth-wide-open-AWE.Overall, I got to Animal Kingdom 1 hour before it opened, then it only took 70 minutes to experience the RIDE of a LIFETIME!

If the wait is four hours wait!!!! Its totally worth the wait. Pure magic. Dinosaur is probably the most underated ride. Its so much fun

The best theme park attraction in Orlando! From the second you get in line until you exit through the gift shop you will be amazed at the level of detail that makes you feel you are really on Pandora and riding a Banshee! Climb the floating mountains, explore a cave full of ancient Navi paintings, and tour a human research lab thats home to a full size Avatar. Then get ready to link to your own Avatar and fly through the skies as you feel like you have really been transported onto the back of a Banshee. Note: Ride has a unique seat and restraint system. Make sure to try the test seat by the entrance before getting in line.

4 hr wait time! By the time we got to the actual ride, frustrations had set in from the long waiting. Making the ride less enjoyable.The facility that the ride is in, was breathtaking. Wish I could say the same for the ride itself.Just another “Soaring” type ride with not so great 3D glasses.Felt like Disney’s failed attempt at making a Universal Studios Harry Potter ride or the Spider-Man ride.C+ for the ride itselfA+ for the concept of the building.

If you get motion sickness and arent wearing a (prescription) scopolamine patch, do yourself a favor and skip this.I know, everyone rants and raves how awesome it is, but it wont be for you. Even with a nausea patch my body revolted against watching the screen on this ride.Honestly, I could probably handle these immersive rides if the video didnt go so fast. Flight of passage, star tours, smugglers run, not for me. Soarin is fine , possibly because the hang glider isnt going 500mph.TLDR: if simulator type rides make you want to vomit, skip this and go ride something that moves around instead of pretending to move around.

Avatar Flight of Passage is one of those experiences that you have to do. Wait time is a bit long, times can easily go into the 1 hour or 2 hour window, but its so worth it. Its like a simulator thats maybe a 5 minute movie. I personally wish the ride was longer and it had longer fight scenes. This could easily be a Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance type of attraction time (that ride is 17 minutes long). I personally wish they can test the times a bit, test times maybe within the 8 - 10 minute range between each session and do a survey with people. See if people like the longer version or the normal version. The attraction fits a good 40+ people per session so depending how fast people move, lines can move pretty fast. Though due to how short the ride is, maybe a good 5 minutes(?), it ends abruptly. Im not gonna lie, for those 5 minutes of enjoying this ride, everything that I saw and experienced put my smile on my face. I mean, I couldnt wipe it off my face, my sister said to me I looked over while on the ride and youre just smiling. Nothing in the entire world has an attraction like this.

One of the best rides at Disney world. Lines can be over 2 - 3 h on busy times, so its best to try to get a fastpass. The ride simulates riding a banshee from avatar. The theatrics are some of the most modern at Disney. You feel like you are soaring around the world of avatar. This is one of the rides that is worth maybe a 90 minute standby wait. A must see at animal kingdom.

5 out of 5 the best ride cross all Disney parks! The simulator made me immersing in the Pandora world and convinced me that I was Na’vi riding on the Ikran. It warned the people suffering motion sickness and fear of heights might be cautious, but everyone who claimed so in our team had enjoyed the ride and would like to try again! Great job and thank you Disney!

It is an amazing ride, probably one of the best one I have ever experienced. The wait was pretty long, we went there around 10am in the morning and had to wait for about 3 hours to get in. Highly recommended to get fast pass if you can, book it at least 3 month before. Staff in the front will recommend you to come back at night time or the afternoon for less wait time. But we checked the Disney app and the wait time in the afternoon and night was only a little bit better around 95-120mins. So manage a plan that works for you. We have a few afternoon past pass scheduled so we had to wait for that long in the morning. Despite the wait times ride is amazing.

Probably the best ride Ive ever been on from any theme park in the world. A 4D experience that will overwhelm your senses and make you feel like you are flying through Pandora on the back of a banshee. Currently, visitors stand in line upwards of 3 hours to experience this ride and I have to say its worth it. Good luck scoring a Fast Pass but if you dont, get in line and get ready to be amazed.

We enjoyed the virtual reality ride on Avatar and looking at the science exhibits while waiting in line. It is a great adventure experience. The scenery is beautiful and the ride is fun. There is also a store and restaurant nearby that we enjoyed going to.

This got to be one of the best theme park ride that I ever been on. Can possibly rival the Harry Potter at universal.Gigantic screen with flight simulator style ride.However with 3D glass image.Wing, Scent, water effect.Can not believe I was still indoor.The line is kind long... (about 50 mins) which already driving me nuts.But. Must say it was worth it.This is so REAL. If you are afraid of height. Dont do it... I barely fainted.

Best ride, hands down, at all of the Walt Disney World parks. Its not something to be missed.

There is no 6 foot spaces in this ride everyone is next to everyone and it just seems like Disney dose not care about there visitors.

This is Disney’s best ride. The excellent theming in the queue, the fantastic pre show that really does set the scene and then the actual ride all culminate to provide everyone with a true Avatar experience.The wait times do sometimes peak at 4-5 hours and I personally do not think it is that good to wait for that long. However anything below three hours it is well worth it.The ride itself is a simulator with 3D glasses so those who get motion sickness, may just need to keep that in mind.

There wait to try this ride is very long unless you were lucky enough to get fast passes but it was absolutely worth it. You snake through an outdoor lush jungle setting, through grottos, a science lab and more. Tons to see through the wait. The last part is an entertaining info video, where you are linked to your avatar. The ride itself is fantastic, everything from the graphics to the detail of feeling the breathing of the banshee. I was worried if the two hours of waiting would be wasted but it definitely was not!

Pandora at Disneys Animal Kingdom is breathtaking! Everyone should visit this amazing place created for us to interact and enjoy! You wont regret this adventure.

Experience:This ride is incredible. You feel immerse in the ride. It takes you to the next level in 3d experience.Queuing:The line is long, but it moves fast. There is a lot to look at while you wait. You will need a good low light camera to capture anything.

Everyone in our group who managed to get on the ride, whether they waited in line for 1 hour or 3, all agreed that it was an incredible experience. The concept is loosely similar to the much loved Soarin ride over in EPCOT. However, this one reflects the nearly 20 years of advancement in technology that have occurred since that ground breaking experience launched. If you can get a Fastpass for this one, absolutely make sure to book it. That said, if you can catch it late in the day with a 60-90 minute standby time, the queue to go through the standby line is fantastically well designed and something to go through at least once for the experience.

This is one of my favorite rides of all timeNot because of the thrill, but because of the beauty of the whole simulation. If you just stare at the simulation like you’re supposed to, it becomes really real and the world of pandora is just breathtaking.It is worth the few hours of wait timeAlso for those of you that are scared of coasters, this one technically doesn’t even leave the room but it’s impressive how they simulate it using the chair.

This ride is not only the best ride I have ever experienced but a whole flying journey that let me speechless.Every tiny detail makes the experience so immersive and extremely well thought out - you will live every movement and you will feel everything. (I mean, you can literally feel your ikran breathing!) The visuals are fascinating and the emotions astounding. If you have ever dreamt to fly, you’ll be blown away.Though the queue is - yes - very long (obviously everyone wants to visit it - it’s SO good), it’s utterly worth every minute of wait.Besides the colourful and bioluminescent scenery of the whole Pandora area is breathtaking and even more poetic during the night.I wholeheartedly love it. And I’m not even very keen on Avatar.

Cant say enough about this ride. It is so cool and Im so glad I did get on. It has awesome effects and there is nothing to be afraid of. Promise. 3D animation with some moving parts. If you get motion sickness like I do... make sure that you do NOT eat before getting on. If you can, make sure to get a Fast Pass for this ride. It beats standing in line for hours at a time. Just an FYI... You get 3 Fast Passes per day. They are of no charge!

What a great experience. AVoP owns the longest wait time in Disney World, usually from 150-190 minutes, but it can easily crack 200. The introduction is quite long (which is responsible for the high wait time). The ride, a 4D ride, takes you through the world of Pandora where you are riding on a Banshee. You get sprayed with a bit of water, but nothing to worry about in the slightest. Amazing smells, to go along with brilliant sights and sounds, make for an unforgettable experience. This is the must-see attraction in Animal Kingdom, even if you’re not an Avatar fan.

Yep. It actually is worth the wait. Couldnt understand why people would wait so long for a rideThen I did it myself and have no regrets. If you have to wait in line, the fortunate thing is the queue is quite entertaining and mostly inside. Great, immersive adventure awaits you after your wait.

Amazing ride. Well worth the two hour wait for my first time! But Ill only do it again if its an hour or less next time. Just one thing: the 3D glasses are too big for small kids cuz they only have 1 size for everyone.

This is Disney Animal Kingdoms newest ride. Currently the wait times are several hours long. The ride starts by being matched with an avatar and then you sit down on a motorcycle like bar put on your 3D glasses and begin the experience. Which consist of flight through the world of Pandora on the back of a banchie just like the in the movie. Try to fastpass of at all possible probably need to do so 30 or 60 days beforehand. Photos are from the line since photography is prohibited on the ride.

The detail is so spectacular. Absolute perfect detail replica that can be imagined! Great Job!!!

Holy cow! By far the best ride I have ever been on. The technology is amazing. There were several moments (actually probably the entire ride) I felt like it (and forgot that it wasnt) a real life experience. It was so amazing that we went on it twice! Both times waited over an hour...OMG so worth it!

Ive never seen Avatar and worried a two hour wait would lessen my enjoyment of the attraction. The wait went quick enough with a varied queue thats mostly out of the sun. The ride is great and very immersive. Im 6 3 with a bit of a stomach and it was a tight squeeze. Not sure if they offer larger seats but be aware of youre husky.

Worst 3D Ive ever experienced. Im a big fan of 3D and virtual reality and one of the few people still using 3D TV or playing videogames in 3D. In this experience the 3D doesnt properly work. Or at least it doesnt work in the position I had, on the very left hand side. It might be good in the center of the hall but in my position it was too closed to the screen to make the 3d effect work. Nevertheless, the smell, the air, the movements were impressive.

Landscape is beautiful! This is the best ride I have ever done! You feel like you are flying! You get the smells, air, splash of water, gills moving on the banshee. Totally worth the wait!

Arguably the best attraction at Disney World. Unfortunately the line is unbearable. Unless you have a FastPass you can easily spend a third of you day at Animal Kingdom in the line. It was 4 hours for us. Everyone was dog tired of standing afterwards.

Best ride! It really does feel like riding a banshee in reality, and for when it gets hot out, there are mist cannons that mist out water at one point on the ride. The technology and ride system are in the spotlight, since this was the most expensive ride in America with advanced technology, and the scenery is AMAZING. It’s like virtual reality a little bit. Only one word of warning, GET FASTPASSES ASAP because the lines can up to 2 and a half to 3 hours long (maybe more than that) and many people will book that ride first.

Sure it’s the new super exciting ride. The wait was 3 hours for a 5 min ride. It is impressive but really not exciting for an adrenaline junkie. Not a big fan of VR/3D type rides give me a real steel coaster that makes me wanna vomit.

Love how much scenery they put into this world. Its a really cool ride. But the wait time is very long. If you have the patience to stand in line for about 150 mins to 200 mins durning the summer. I used the magic band for other rides, but there wouldnt be a fast pass for the avatar ride. If you are visiting, nighttime is the coolest in the avatar world. I loved how it lights up. The music is awesome as well.

This by far was my favorite ride on my whole trip to Disney World. It is a 4D ride, but it is very thrilling, they also have water mists they hit you and flower scents being sprayed on you. They did an amazing job on the execution of this ride. Also, the wait here is LONG, we waited about 2 hrs coming a little after opening. However, there is a lot of stuff to see along the wait. It actually went by fast, if that is a thing.

This ride is insanely good, no wonder its so popular. The whole setting of the Avatar section is incredible. I immensely enjoyed being there, and its very hard to find a decent 5 minute ride anywhere in theme parks. My hubby says hands down best ride in WDW he went on!

This is the best ride across all Disney World parks. Notice the breathing of the banshee that youre riding. Feel the ocean spray as you soar over aquatic animals. FoPs beauty and immersion will move you to tears.

This is by far the best rides for me ever. It’s beyond best! I loved it soo much. The wait is usually too long like 3 hours. But that wait is absolutely worth it! I highly recommend everyone should always try this ride if you are in animal kingdom! LOVED IT :)

Very cool ride! The technology used is top notch. I just wish the ride was longer because its over before you know it and youre enjoying it so much that you dont want it to end. Get to the park early make this your first ride or fast pass it because it will be crowded as it is very popular. Dont leave the park without experiencing this ride.

The wait is definitely worth it. The ride is completely immersive and has amazing graphics. You dont need to watch the movie to enjoy it, but it slightly corresponds to the movie. The Stand-By wait line is very well decorated and makes the long wait to get on the ride less of a hassle. This ride and Pandora itself makes Disneys Animal Kingdom Park better.
