It’s a fun ride except somehow I’ve gotten worse at playing it with age. The line wasn’t too bad.

Great family friendly ride! Features interactive seats, where riders can spin their seats, which are also equipped with little “laser blasters”. The objective is to shoot as many targets as possible, to stop the “Evil Emperor Zurg”, from taking over the galaxy. Very great for families, and those who may get a bit competitive.

This is one of the most amazing rides in Magic Kingdom. The setting is really astonishing, with aliens from Zurgs planet that you have to shoot. There is many different bright targets that give you points. The aim is to get the highest amount of points. Overall, it is an amazing ride with a good setting.

They removed a cable, replaced with a button. It was still fun after my 10th time over the years.

Fun activity but the crowds were intense, with 50 minute wait times

Fun lazer shooting game for all the family with all the Toy Story friends. You sit two in a car with a gun each and a lever which allows you to spin the car to better shooting positions. Have fun.

It is a fun ride, (when it is in working order). It is a constantly moving ride so waiting does NOT take that long. (Fast Passes help too). My wife, myself and my in-laws went on the ride when we first got to Disney and out of the four blasters (between us) only 1 worked consistently. My wife and I went back later and used a fast pass and had a working ride!

This place is a blast to take the kiddos! Its a ride and laser shooting game combined. It keeps score so you always want to beat you family members! Its just a good experience with the family.

Fun ride. Not worth waiting standby. They dont estimate the wait time properly or they oversell the fast passes. Its easily a 10:1 fast pass to standby ratio.

This is a must ride. We really enjoy it. It is a competition to see who can get the most points in a Buzz Lightyear themed ride. You ride in a vehicle that seats two and you can turn with a central joystick. Each rider has a laser pistol and can shoot that various target types like run away robots and Zurgs battery factory. The whole time individual scores are kept of the number of points for hits. It is fun and competitive at the same time.

A classic, fun, cool ride. Always a must ride while in Disney. Highly recommend it! Its always super cool to be interactive with this ride.

Must do if you have kids. Mine love to shoot the aliens and rack up a score. This is my kiddos favorite ride at the Magic Kingdom.

A very fun ride to go on for everyone in your family. Really enjoyed it plus it gives you a break from walking and lets you sit for a bit.

You have to play this attraction again if your score is 33,400 at least.Maybe becoming Buz Light Year is one of boy’s dream.

Longest wait in the park. Nothing to do but stare at concrete and steel rails, and the fast pass-to-standby ration is 2-1. Fun ride, but not worth standby for.

This ride is fun for kids and adults can ride along too and have fun like the kids. So happy to see guy superheroes and guns for boys to shoot , since so many characters are themed for girls. The magic band recognition for memory maker photos was incorrect for most of our 7 in a party so our memorable photos went to some one else and we have those of someone else. The FAST PASS was necessary during peak season... The FAST PASS line was over a 30 minute wait the week before Easter Sunday.

The ride shut down while I was riding it. It took a bit of time for the ride to get going again. The attraction itself is a poor man’s Toy Story Mania!

One of our favorite rides at Tomorrowland, we always have been fans of the Toy Stories Movies and this ride is one of our must dos whenever we visit Walt Disney World.

Cool queue, long ride, and a favorite at Magic Kingdom. I would recommend aiming at high point targets instead of shooting randomly at everything.

Its okay, but youd need to be an obsessed fan to remotely understand how to get a score above the bottom levels. This is a game made exclusively for Disney nerds.

Great ride, but the Fastpass system is so skewed the wait times in the standby line are totally unreasonable. A constant stream of Fastpass holders are put on ahead of you. Therefore NOT worth the wait.

One of the most solid rides, in the park. Fun for the whole family, someone of every age. Its essentially moving laser tag, and you compete against everyone in your cart. You score points by shooting the Zs on all your enemies, and bonus points are awarded for harder shots. Let me know what your high score is, my photos are posted!

Love this ride but sometimes its not worth the wait

This attraction is fun for the interaction element of it. You get to sit down in a spacious pod and have the control to spin the pod in either direction while aiming at targets. I never can seem to get the right aim with the laser though.If I had to choose between this and toy story mania, take the time to wait at toy story mania instead (at Hollywood Studios).

Great ride for kids over 5, they need to be able to aim their laser gun. If they cant understand that, they might get frustrated. My 7-year-old loves it, as does my 5-year-old, but if she gets any points, its likely just coincidence, but it doesnt matter; she loves to ride & shoot.Regardless of score, everyone usually has a good time shooting Zurg. I remember having seen a video, years ago, where you could watch yourself on the ride firing various forms of cartoon ammunition, like donuts, or fruit. Whatever happened to that?Other reviewers have called it outdated, but I find it timeless. The only thing that could be improved, would be the lasers. We could have different colors now. It is very difficult to figure out which red dot is yours.Wait times can get long, so a Fastpass might be in order. Standby riders do get the short end of the stick when competing with Fastpassers, but hey, everyone can get Fastpasses, theyre now included in the ticket price, so if you plan your day well, you too can avoid long waits.

Blaster only counted 10% of the shots i was taking. would be focused on the target and still get nothing.what is the point of riding something if you can’t even accomplish the objective?other than this occasion it’s normally pleasant

The fast pass line was almost as long as the regular one. They did a good job getting all of us threw quickly though. The ride was great, took my 5 month old on my lap serve she loved all the lights. One of our favorite rides.

It’s fun but it’s hard to see where you’re shooting lol the toy story versión in Hollywood studios is better but overall a good fun ride

Ok ride, but they changed the controls and stuff now it is even more inaccurate also the shooter things are really bad liked how it was before.

This ride is really starting to show its age, especially when compared to Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios. The guns are near impossible to aim with, though being able to control your vehicle is pretty cool.I think its time for Disney to close this ride in favor of something else. Id suggest refurbishing it, but it seems redundant with Toy Story Mania already in existence.

If you are at Magic Kingdom and don’t have a fast pass for this, skip it. The shooting is bad because it’s inaccurate, and for every 7 fast pass party they let in, only 1 stand by party. Waited 1+ hour for a bad experience.

Very fun ride.

Still great, all these years later! Fun competitive shooting game. Buzzs realistic moving face still is impressive to me and its cool that he coaches you throughout the ride! Watching either Toy Story movie 1/2 or the old episodes of the Buzz Lightyear adventure series helps give context.

Rally fun. Although it may say there is a long wait, that is rarely the case. To Max out the score if 999,999 look up the targets that get the most points(inside of robots left arm etc.)

Its a fun interactive shooter / ride. I think its one of my favorite rides in Disneyworld.

Pre-cursor to the popular Toy Story ride at Hollywood Studios. Ride around on a track and shoot stuff. EZ on and off.

My husband likes this ride. Too me it’s not that great. And goes by fast. Not worth the long wait at all!

It is really fun ride to go on.

It is so much fun. Make sure you get a fast pass or you will be waiting a long time. It just depends on when you go. But it does need to be refurbished some things dont work as good as they should. But still a bunch of fun. Definitely worth doing.

My family and I always visit this ride every time we come to the Magic Kingdom. Its a great time for all ages. The queue is fun and keeps you entertained while you wait for the ride but if you have a fast pass to use I would recommend it as always.

Let loose your child and imagine conquering Zurg as you blast off into space and avoid wormholes and shoot your ion cannon to get the maximum score. This is a short but extremely fun ride. Worth the fast pass especially if you have kids that love shooting and having a blast.

Im trying to ride everything at the Magic Kingdom while I have my annual pass for a year, so when I saw that this ride had a five minute wait I went for it!Im not terribly familiar with Toy Story, but this ride is affiliated with that movie. This ride feels a tad dated, but I do like all of the bright theming inside of it.This is a good attraction for those looking for something that isnt too much of a wild ride. You ride along and shoot at things, you can also spin the vehicle you are in around in a full circle.The lines are often quite long here, but Im not sure that this ride is necessarily fast pass worthy as the Magic Kingdom has so many great rides. If you can get in here with a 20 minute or less wait, this ride is worth doing.

This ride is very enjoyable for all ages. The scoring of points I think is skewed and overall the ride was way too short but it was great to be able to swivel my seat and shoot aliens and score points. Dont forget to view your photos at the end.

Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin is a great ride for all ages. The premise is simple -- use the gun, shoot the things, spin around! -- and the interactivity is great. One caveat: because the ride is a lot of fun, the line can be very, very long. Plan ahead!

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom is a dark ride shooting gallery. The ride is heavily themed to Toy story and Star Command as your vehicle takes you through different scenes and you blast targets along the way. You can rotate your car 360 degrees as you fight to see who can get the highest score. Great ride for kids to enjoy and adults to face off in.

Looong wait times for a ride where its difficult to spot your laser. If any Disney employees are reading this, one simple idea would be to give different color LEDs to adjacent seats

This is one of the outdated attractions in WDW. The shooting guns are attached to the ride cars and this is like an outdated technology. Overall, the ride is just like a break from the sun.

This was a gr8 ride.U can shoot whatever enemies are attacking u.It was colorful and lit in there.The fun thing was that u can have visual eye candy and at the same time, ride and play.The only problem with this ride is that its too small and slow, they should make it longer and faster, that would make it more exciting, and accelerate during the hyperspace part.Yet the guns need updating, so its time we get a refurbishment.This is a good dark ride, and glad its one of the good rides still operating.

This is one of my favorite rides at magic kingdom and you shoot laser type guns at targets and get points for hitting them. It’s fun to compete with others as you can rotate with your partner around to hot more targets. It’s fun to compete with family and you are in groups of 2 and my son and I last night along with my family in their space ranger spinning machines too had a frustrating experience. I have been on this ride countless times and it deserves a 5 star review but yesterday it kept stopping saying they were having technical difficulties. My family all bet which couple would win and I had the max score of 999,999 before the ride was finished and after about 10 delays on the ride, it erased all of our points. With several young kids, obviously this upset them so I asked the staff what was going on and explained that we, along with countless other people, paid money and paid extra to have a fast pass so you don’t wait in line and the 3 girls when I politely questioned them as to what is going on and they could see how much this upset our kids along with numerous other families didn’t think this was a big deal. I asked them why are they not announcing this problem because it was going on all day and why they wouldn’t refund or do something to compensate for this problem and if you know the costs, it is something that no employee should dismiss. So after seeing this poor leadership and inability to make a decision I went to the front desk and spoke to a gentleman and explained it and he was polite and understood and was honest about it. After sharing my experience with him he gave us these fast pass vouchers for any ride we wanted so kudos to him for taking care of the customers who pay prices that continue to skyrocket and his willingness to do this which turned into my son and I getting fast pass vouchers for space mountain which my son had never been on. Buzz lightyear’s space ranger spin is a very fun and popular ride and my review is five stars because of the way the problem was handled by Joe, the gentleman who worked in the gift shop as you get off the ride and I’ve never had a problem with the ride not working before.

True nostalgia here. Fight Zurg with buzz lightyear, with competitive points to be earned.Great ride for kids and adults to enjoy together.

Toy Story Midway Mania makes me realize how dated this ride is. Its still worth checking out but with TSMM down the road at Hollywood Studios, I wont ever feel that this ride is as good as it could be! I still recommend it if youve never visited the Magic Kingdom as it looks cool and is still very fun.

What a great ride . You dont need to be a kid to go on this. Its just good fun shooting targets. Good queue system with lots of theming then into a 2 seater cart where you control the cart turning round left or right and each person has their own gun to shoot the vast amount of targets .

I love this attraction. Its always so much fun to see how many targets you could hit and if you could beat your score from the time before. I wish it lasted longer. Lots of fun, especially when your battling your family or friends. Trick is to hold your button down at all times... Great addition to Tomorrwland. Use fast pass.

Its good fun but it does need updating soon.The cars are for two people, one controller to spin it left/right and a laser each. Its tough to aim as your only point identifier is a red dot amongst all the others. You soon get your eye in though. Always a bit of competition between friend and family adding to the fun!Good for all ages and you get a picture at the end which is often amusing - the Picture Pass makes picking it up a breeze, ensure you trace the correct colour to the correct pad or youll have someone elses picture.

Im 45-55 and I totally got this ride. The six year old hated it because the lasers are hard to aim. The 12 yr old liked it as a ride and a chance todestroy things, but he claimed more points than he actually scored. I was behind him. I saw his score.. The 79 yr old was not impressed with the ride, but he did appreciate the opportunity to sit down. I did pretty well, scoring over 170,000 pts shooting while simultaneously controlling the direction we were looking.So this IS a ride, not a musical performance. Theres room for three sitting side by side. The outside two are aiming thumb-triggered laser guns while the person in the middle controls the 360 spin of the car. Each gunner receives a score for hits on targets throughout the ride. I would like to do it again as long as theres not a long wait.

Lots of fun! My 4 year old wanted to do it again soon as we got off the ride. Worth using a fast pass for as the wait can get pretty long.

Fun ride for every age. This is a shooter ride where the rider has to hit targets using an infrared laser gun. One of my must do rides in Magic Kingdom.

This is a great ride. Fun for all ages. The ride does not have any drops or anything like that. You ride along and shoot at the targets on various glow-in-the-dark characters. I will admit that the gun is difficult to aim, you see a red dot where you hit, but picking out your dot from everyone elses is a challenge. Really it shouldnt be about the accuracy or getting the high score, as long as you are having fun. Also, the ride takes your picture at the end, so make a funny face! You can see the picture on monitors when you leave (and youll also have the option to purchase a copy of the photo)

Excellent ride. Kids loved the interaction with the things they were shooting. Competitive nature comes to the fore when vying for the best score with the person youre in the car with. Definitely recommend Fastpass+ its a long wait otherwise.

A quick ride with shooting lasers at targets. Someone needs to steer your ride vechicle so be ready!

Great ride for young children i have a 2yr old and he loved the ability to be able to spin around. I however do disagree with allowing handicapped people being able to ride because they have to stop the ride completely meaning all the lights come on and your score gets erased.

Great for kids. Definitely dont ride if you are in the middle of a headache. Let it pass first. Ride is loud and jerky. A lot of fun though. Fits 3 people per car

Best ever, me and the family had a great time.

Kids love it. Younger may have it a bit tougher if they like to watch whats going on first. Best with family who just had fun and talks about the ride after then the family who ride and checks social media after.

Make sure to have a fast pass. The let like 20 fast pass people go for every 2 standby. That is what makes the standby line so long.

I think this is an excitingly innovative ride, and it has stood the test of time, as 11 years passed between my first visit and my most recent tour. I love the shooting gallery theme and the bright lights and colors on a moving track.

One of the kids favorite rides. No scary hills or drops. Just a friendly shooting competition. Make sure to buy your pictures at the end of the ride for a nice keepsake.

Fun ride. Used Fast pass but the standby wait said it was 50 minutes. Its hard at first to tell where you are shooting.

My favorite ride at the Magic Kingdom hands down!It has the best of both worlds...a ride and a laser gun!!! This ride is always packed. I highly recommend you use the fast pass to get on it.You ride in cars similar to the cars from the haunted mansion, in fact it is exactly the same technology. You are also given a laser gun to shoot at Zurg. You score points as you hit the targets. Your space ranger level is determined by your score. There is also a joy stick (think Atari 2600) and you can use this to spin your car. I highly recommend you spin it during the space tunnel...you will definitely get dizzy.There are a ton of secret targets to hit to get mega points. I found that knowing these targets is not as much fun as just randomly hitting targets. I hit one of the huge targets and my ride was done because my counter could not accept anymore points. That was kind of a bummer for me and I had to hang up my laser gun.This ride is located just before Space Mountain and is a must to any fan of Disney. I honestly ride this ride at least 4-6 times on any given day I am attending the park.

Super cute ride for the entire family. You go through the ride trying to shoot the Z symbol to defeat Zurg. Every seat gets its own gun to shoot and displays scores. Great ride for the competitive family. Definitely get online before you go to get the tips for a higher score to defeat your family!

We really enjoy this ride and make it a priority to get a fast pass to this attraction when we visit the park. Plus the competitive nature in me makes this ride even more fun.
