It’s always been a tradition to visit the shops here. This year 2020 is so different though.. lesser people and lesser shops..

Igloo experience: overpriced and underwhelming. We had igloo #5 our christmas lights werent fully working, space heaters did not work, chairs were uncomfortable. We had the adult experience with mulled wine. The mulled wine was very good, charcuterie board was tasteful, and we got a side of fries with the deal. It was an okay experience. I could not in good faith recommend for the sticker price $500 for 5-8 people . We saw our server when she initially showed us to our igloo then the food dropoff. Also the igloos are bunched together and people would randomly crowd around and talk loud.

Expensive, crowded and super dull skates. Fun outdoor activity but not very well kept. The staff wasn’t very nice, it was a weird system how they move the people around ensuring no one is getting in for free but not designed efficiently. Costs more to put your bags out and there is no separate area for those who don’t know how to skate and those who do. Which didn’t seem the safest they do have some teenage staff that skate around but I’m not sure how helpful that is.Fun but needs improvement.

What a fantastic spot, whether you ice skate or not (and now theres bumper snow boats), it is definitely a New York must-see! Go just for the park, or go to the library then stroll into the park, or go to Times Square before or after. Bryant is at the heart of it all, and its year-round fun!

Best to skate first thing in the morning when it opens at 8 AM before the other cheapskate kids come. (I know no admission fees attract skaters, so it’s no surprise it gets crowded and the ice quickly gets chewed up by amateurs. ) It may be tough to get to Midtown so early, but it is worth it on an outdoor clean sheet of glass! And the views are breathtaking. Love the passersby gazing at the skaters, thinking they should be out there or wishing they could glide along with us.

Perfect place to get into the Holiday spirit. Craft and food booths, The Lodge Bar, ice skating rink, huge tree, great shops and vendors. The Lodge bar has great food options inside but there are a lot of food vendors outside as well. Mini custom and unique items. The definite must-see during the holidays. Tons of photo ops including the giant tree and the ice skating. views of the empire State building if you explore as well as buildings that are lit up for the holidays. There are pies, empanadas, hot chocolate and so much.

Beautifully set. Food and drinks a bit overpriced, as one would expect. The skate rink is very nice too, but they set the ice every 20 minutes and it appears that the machine is not wearing properly, so they need a good 30 minutes for it. Kinda spoils the fun. Still, Id def recommend a visit.

I think this was my favourite place on my trip. There was a bit of everything here, and just enough room for everyone! There was lots to look at, like the ice skating, lots of little pod-type shops selling all kinds of things, plenty of places to eat and drink. I sit at home now (in the UK) and wish I could just take a walk up the road to this place. I loved it.

This is a beautiful part and the winter village is great. There are many bars and restaurants and you can ice skate on the rink in the middle of the part. They have live music in one of the tents.

UPDATE : I was never refunded for the skates or the sharpening!Overall the rink is like you would expect it to be . Admission is free but you pay for the rentals. Most of the staff is kind and tries their best to accommodate you. However, if you are going there expecting your skates to be sharpened, WATCH carefully because the staff does not make that they are giving the skates back to the right person. I had given them skates that cost about $100 and was only refunded $21 for the sharpening, given a free bag check, and a free skate rental, which I get that at the moment that is best that they could do but it just does not feel very fair. Especially since they mentioned theyve see this man before and he is on the camera. They said to wait until their manager contacts me. The security involved are a guy named Kyle and a women name Erica. The mangers name is Alexis. One of the staff James told me that, Steven had given the skates to a man after they girl, Allison who gave the skates to said she couldnt find me- yet I was right there. I dont want anyone to get fired. I just want the money back. Waiting for an email but for now BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always super cute. I come with my family at least once a season to skate, eat, drink and shop. I love the Urban space addition, food is fantastic and the bartenders are so friendly! I hate to see the shops close but its nice to be able to walk without swimming through tourists.

A very fun and beautiful place during the winter for Ice skating. Its free entrance but dont expect an free help for skating if youre a beginner. You should pay for that 30$ I think. There are many shops with original things you wouldnt imagine. The village is in the middle of a group of buildings and its very interesting to take pictures the night !

Love the shops and all the variety of stuff offered the only issue I ran into was the amount of people (which is to be expected I. NYC) but this place was NUTS! The shops were way too close to the walkway which very much crowded people in the walking paths. And in NYC spirit people just shove their way through even if it means plowing over your 6 year old. No complaints about the shops though!

This is a nice spot. It is a great deal to go ice skating especially if you have your own skates. It is also a good idea to bring your own lock for the lockers to avoid the $12 fee for a lock or bag check. The facilities and environment was very charming. The ice skating was good but somewhat crowded. Overall I would recommend this as a winter experience in the city.

This is such an iconic spot for a true NYC holiday experience! Being that Im a local and have the opportunity to visit often, I invested in my own skates and a gym lock (they have lockers on premises) and am so grateful that I did! If you dont have your own skates they still offer a good price but keep in mind that the rink gets quite overcrowded during the busy holiday season. For the current 2019-2020 season they implemented a system where you can reserve your time online and if you do you get to skip the long line and that was a real helpful feature. However, I personally enjoy coming after New Years for a more relaxed and much less crowded experience. Nevertheless, it pays to check out the all the quaint shops during the holiday season. Great cost effective and family friendly park to visit in the city!

I went to the winter village at bryant park with my friends today and it was really fun! Not all of us wanted to skate so some of us stayed in the lodge. There were a lot of food and drink options from hot chocolate to mulled wine to perogies. The lodge also had a nice ambiance, lots of lights and has a very big holiday vibe. Definitely a good place to spend a couple of hours with some friends.

This is one of NYCs finest parks (IMHO). Its centrally located in Manhattan, and its a shady place to sit in the summer. There are always chairs available, and the public library is right next door (for clean restrooms, cooling if needed, etc), 5 min walk to Grand Central too. In the winter, they construct an ice rink in the center and you can watch people fall down on the ice! Ive always enjoyed Bryant Park.

I cant believe the ice rink is free if you have your own skates! During the high season (this year), rentals are $33, which is slightly more expensive than a cheap pair on Amazon. So Id say if you want to skate more than once, then definitely just buy some skates. Also, bring your own lock for the lockers they have, so you dont have to pay $12 for a lock there. The ice can some times be a little bumpy. There are some times very deep cuts in the ice during the high season that dont completely go away even after they remake it each hour. This is kind of annoying, but since Im going there for free, I really cant complain too much. Also, there are some teens there who are pretty wild, like skating really fast right by your nose, almost crashing into you, but just by a sliver every time. Im ok with it because Im a seasoned skater, but its pretty scary for some friends of mine who are beginners. Though if youre here for the NYC experience, Id say this is part of it too, haha.

The ice rink has bumper cars, which (while they dont have good manuverability) let you spin in place really fast and bump others (although haphazardly bc of the poor steering, some wheels have worse motors so even propelling forward with both will send you off course). The park has some stores open, although they are pricey. Waffles and Dinges can be found here and they are amazing. The fountain is nice, the tree during Christmas time is lovely, and ice skating beside it is just amazing. After Christmas time, the rink is okay, but not great as its not cleaned and maintained properly (especially after rain).Overall, good fun but expect to spend a ton.

Bank of America is managing this so poorly. 1-2+hr wait for a family of 3 and looking at $120 for rentals and a locker. I remember the simpler times when it was the Pond by Citi. Staff is untrained and rude, they let their friends and people they know skip ahead of people waiting for hours :-/

I usually go here with my family and stay for about an hour or so watching the folks ice skate around. It is beautiful at night with all the music playing and colorful lights. It is also usually crowded. There are plenty of transportation which includes buses, trains and taxis going and coming from here. There are also plenty of small shops inside the park where you can purchased many things from snacks to artificial jewelry to household items.
