Love the architecture of this cathedral. So much history. It’s very quiet right now which makes it a great time to enjoy a service or enjoy the interior of the place. The gift shop could be better. If you’re a tourist this is a place to stop and check out.

Stunning cathedral near Times Square, with large organs in the back. Extremely tall ceilings with beautiful, colorful mosaic glass windows. Even if you are not into religion, it is still a remarkable place to step foot in. The option to light a candle is there, as well as a small gift shop to take a souvenir.

This is my Parish. The priests are all wonderful. The Church itself is absolutely beautiful. But the most important part are the Cardinal and priests. They are just superb.

I went here with my brother in July 2019. It was my first time visiting the cathedral. My family told me how beautiful it looked and how amazing it was inside. Let me tell you they were very right. When I first steeped in I was just amazed by everything. From the setup, the artwork, and the Neo-Gothic architecture, and how huge it is. I was in awe the whole time I was there. If anyone visits New York I highly recommend visiting St. Patricks Cathedral.

The church is amazing. Usually the securities are very nice, but last time one of them was being pretty rude with some tourists.

An absolutely beautiful church! It is always breathtaking when you see the cathedral among the modern buildings that surrounds it. Beautifully ornate and they have several areas for lighting candles for prayer intentions. Wonderful place to have some quiet time for yourself in deep thought and prayer. One of the greatest glories of New York. Id like to recommend this place if you guys have plans to go to NYC.

Beautiful, breathtaking and so amazing. I wish had time to take the walking tour that I saw a few people on with headphones? Also, I was able to light a candle for my husband who passed away in October. I am sorry I missed the December 19th City singing concert. But I was able to find a program in the pew. I took many beautiful snap shot. I loved the doves in gold at the top of the ceiling of the church, the stained glass windows and some of the other statues. The organ was amazing. It almost makes me think about being a donor to the church!

Went to St. Patricks on a Saturday afternoon last year and was surprised it was open to tourists and had weddings taking place, right in the cathedral! Watched 2 very fast weddings before we had to move on to other things.Beautiful building and beautiful history and so wonderful to watch people start their lives together with a big crowd of onlookers.

I live in Australia, so the only way I can have mass by myself is with St. Patrick’s Cathedral. You have wonderful priests and I love watching every morning. The singing is spectacular!!!! This place is absolutely beautiful. We weren’t really planning on going in but it was on our way to somewhere else so we decided to stop anyways. As a catholic I found the cathedral to be awesome, its huge beautiful simply a wonderful place to see sit pray, even if you are of other faiths it will inspire you in ways only you can say. There were lots of tourists walking around but everyone was organized and very orderly. We spent a short time but left very inspired

This cathedral is always breathtaking and brings tears to my eyes. Now because of covid, it’s nearly empty and even more beautiful. There were only about 40 people inside. Absolutely beautiful.

This is one of the most impressive cathedrals I’ve ever been to. If Americans know how to do one thing it’s building impressive monuments. It’s free of charge to go in but you can donate if you want to. Not many people visiting after Christmas

Beautiful church we even stayed for 6pm Mass. Went here with my cousin who lives in the west coast and we had a really spiritual time. The church was packed. There was one ursher who needs to change his career, he wasnt very nice. Dealing with the public is isnt for everyone. Some people are just better at a desk position somewhere in the back of the office working alone. But everyone other person we met inside the church was great. St. Patricks Cathedral is beyond words. Will definitely be back.

If youre visiting Manhattan during the holidays, I know for certain youll be near Rockefeller center. If so, I recommend going to the St.Patricks cathedral. It is filled with amazing art and wonderful history. There are some things that not even a camera can pick up in beauty. So I highly recommend using your eyes to witness amazing architecture and beautiful art. There are many representatives there where you can leave gratuity for those maintaining the cathedral so thats also pretty nice. Nevertheless, if youre a fan of church and cathedral , this is definitely a place to go.

I attended my first Mass this past weekend. It was such a beautiful service. Cardinal Dolan presided.

Cathedral’s rules forbids frigid males from wearing hats indoors yet with questionable fairness finds same fine for flaunting females.The interior and exterior of the steeple is breathtakingly beautiful with stunningly high quality scenes along the left and right perimeter walls of the Grand Cathedral.In the rear, there’s a polycarbonate glass enclosure room presumably built for soundproofing. As the most famous church in the United States it’s subjected to overcrowding and becomes too noisy to pray.

This was the first cathedral we (Éric and tiffanie yulo ) attended with my group of Asian American Catholics in NYC. We were excited to see the catholic musical singer and the large procession. I have never attended such a large gathering of Catholics with my Asian American catholic group. It was exciting even with construction blocking. It was our first date in NYC with mass. He told me he wanted to have a marriage just like the Pineda family and his cousin at this cathedral if we were to have kids. The family may not own property in Philippines but we said prayers for those workers that died upon its reprisal. I wanted the official marriage first before the kids but ...

Beautiful and historic place. But seating bench is hard wooden. Little hard to sit for long prayer.

Very nice Cathedral which is very well maintained. It always gives me goosebumps when entering this majestic place, especially when there is a mass.Size wise it’s not so big as the Cathedral in Koln but what I like about is that it’s so very clean and well maintained.If you are visiting it, it’s good to know it’s located opposite to Rockefeller centrum and around 3 min walking distance from Columbus square, it’s a nice area here.Please also donate $ 5 because the entrance is for free.

Every square inch of the place is ornate, even the floors! It feels inspiring but also makes you feel small since it is so massive. The architecture is just stunning, i could explore it for hours. It was hard for me to imagine how a place of worship could also work as a tourist attraction, but it‘s tastefully done.Was lucky enough to hear the organs playing, i have video but am unable to add to this review for some reason.It was a somber time while I was there since Kobe Bryant had just passed the day before. It was obvious that a lot of people were there praying for him and the other victims of the helicopter crash.Will definitely be back anytime i’m in NYC!

Having had the opportunity to visit this cathedral several times during the past few years throughout its restoration - it is incredible to see the wonderful work that has been done.A must see when visiting NYC, even if for a brief time and especially during holiday season.

Situated in the middle of the city it is hard to miss the beauty and ornate architecture that adorns this historical church! We were blown away by every intricate detail that went into the design and building of this spiritual gems! The St. Patrick’s Cathedral is located on 5th Ave near Rockefeller Center in the heart of New York City. It is truly and amazing church with an incredible architectural design. The church is always open and allows visitors to attend a mass, pray at alters as well as purchase gifts in their shop located inside the Cathedral. There are many beautiful statues where you can donate to light a candle and pray. This is a must see when visiting New York City and I highly recommend.

This is a magical place. If you do not feel the Holy Spirit here, I do not know what to tell you. Even though this is a touristy attraction, it is still spiritual, solemn, ethereal, beautiful beyond compare, welcoming, and dare I say extremely holy. I have the privilege of knowing one of the priests here. He helped me when I was a single, unwed, scared pregnant young woman. he not only welcomed me with open arms, he also put me in touch with people who could help me. He was there for me spiritually and as a friend, never ever judging me. That was 24 years ago. Saint Patricks is lucky to have this priest there. He says Mass on Thursdays and from what I gather theres always a line waiting to talk to him after Mass. Father Damian OConnell is such a treasure and a gift, that I might move back to New York just for him. New Yorkers, take heed, and do not take for granted this wonderful man, this beautiful Church, and the Holy Spirit that resides within it.

Despite COVID reduced crowds this place is still breathtakingly beautiful and a place of respite amid a big city.

Im a Muslim, but I entered to this historical and famous cathedral to see other cultures and Christian culture... I respect them.. The place was very clean and huge and lovely... I advise you to go to visit it.

A NYC landmark not to be missed! After a multi year renovation, the interior and exterior have been magnificently restored to their original grandeur. View the altar from the rear before walking down each side to admire the numerous chapels lining the buildings interior perimeter. From the altar area, turn around to take in the view of the choir loft and massive organ. If your timing is lucky, you might hear the organist playing, a welcome bonus! The Cathedral is to be enjoyed by worshipers and tourists alike!

Beautiful neo-gothic church! I attended mass and was amazed of the structures. A must visit in New York! It has so much history and beauty in one place.

When I was in New York for the first time in 2016 we passed through the church with friends but they didnt want to go inside. For four years I couldnt erase it from my mind and I regretted for not visiting it. I dont even know why. I didnt know anything about the church before. Never heard anything of it but it seems important in some ways to me because it was the first thing I visited after I returned to New York. That never happened to me before. I spent about an hour there before they closed and I was amazed how hard work and love and dedication they put into it. It’s art. And it’s so quiet and peaceful compared to crazy Manhattan. It makes you feel safe, peaceful, honored. I am not very religious or anything but this was a special moment. So I highly recommend visiting it and try to appreciate your life. I don’t think you’ll be sorry. It’s free, photos are allowed and it’s one of the best things ever.

The street next to the church is not wide, so the church seems to have a feeling of going straight into the sky. Entering the inside, you will be awe-inspiring. Perhaps this is the educational role of architecture. The church is very well maintained and is equipped with modern lighting. Architecturally, it is definitely worth seeing. I always enjoy visiting this famous church when in the New York area. It has just been refreshed and much of the grime that collected over the years is removed and now you can see a cathedral that is bright white inside as it was supposed to be. There are many weddings in this classic setting and the Sunday service is very mush worth attending too. I was visiting one of my past students and took her to see this gem. She was really impressed and said that she would visit later when she had more time. It is located in the heart of New York and most natives when asked will tell you how to get there. When you visit New York do not miss visiting this important landmark that has been in the canter of many historic events since it was built.

Gorgeous!!! A definite must see...much more crowded than the St. Thomas church but bigger and just breathtaking. The intricate detailed work inside and out is AMAZING! Its free to get in and they let you take video and pictures of almost everything. My kids loved it as well.

Absolutely amazing! Be prepared for large crowds and lines, but lines move relatively fast. It is definitely worth the wait whether you are religious or not it is something to see. Please be respectful when going it is a cathedral and they do services there. People come to pay their respects to those passed at the beautiful statues through out the church as well as come to go to the services and pray.

Came to give thanks for the news on our lil one thats on the way. Beautiful inside and out. Many exquisite saint statues on display. There are also catacombs underneath of past clergy.

I like to visit this cathedral.This cathedral is a historical building, so you can see many historical treasures in this cathedral.And you can hear the church music by big pipe organ.I recommend you to see the great Stained glass. It is bright, beautiful artwork.I found the interesting machine.The donation machine.You can use credit card for donation!

And I did it twice in the summer 2019.Im in love with the neo-gothic architecture. And I really like the little chapel where they expose the holy sacrament

This church is incredible! My family and I came here around the holidays and we loved it! The decorations were beautiful and the church its self was magnificent! We also loved that fact that just to poke our heads in it was free! The place was clean and the staff seemed nice as we got all our questions answered and we werent pressured to give money! I would come back for a tour and would recommend this place to anyone Catholic or not!
