As long as Ive been in New York City I had never visited this park, until recently. Queens isnt a borough I venture through often, but this is a very beautiful spot here. This is an absolutely beautiful park, which offers some amazing views of Manhattans skyline on the East Side, along with Roosevelt Island and the Ed Koch/59th Street/Queensboro Bridge! The very known PepsiCola sign can be found here as well. Its a great place to come if you want to relax, as theres seating area with wooden benches to lay out on, along with an area with a table and stool seats as well, or if you just want to capture some amazing photos from this area.Im not sure on how congested this area can become, but upon my visit it was very minimal. It was completely opposite of what you experience at sat The Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Food trucks remain in area: great food bring cash only a few accept cash app! I used this beautiful scenery for scene 1 of my Believers video which was shot by Kingdom Time Ent. Visit for yourself im sure it will be a awesome and peaceful experience!!! LOVE was in the air!

I think this is my favorite park in NYC. The views of the Manhattan skyline are unparalleled. I came with my roommate for the sunset (coincidentally) and the progression was gorgeous. I’m so glad I made it here. I’m going to bring friends who visit me here from now on. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It would be a fantastic to propose to your significant other, if that says anything about the view.

Must see when in Queens. Great neighborhood, view of New York skyline is breathtaking. Went at dusk, didnt let us down. Parking is tough to find, so might think of subway or uber to get there. Had to walk about 4 blocks after looking for about 20 minutes until got lucky and found a spot.

This park just keeps getting better somehow. The views are amazing. The people are awesome. They have endless different kinds of seating and food/drink options. Dog park, playground, docks with people fishing. Its just everything you could want in one place. Only downside as others have said is parking. You might have to walk like 5-10 minutes from your car but thats not too bad. All in all 10/10

Fresh air. Prec-Covid; dancing and activities almost every day if the week. Post COVID: still freshest air 7 minutes away from Midtown by 7 train or ferry. Dog parks, well maintained parks, astroturf for karate, yoga, weights, dancing, soccer, all kinds of activities, fishing, beach volleyball, all sorts of filming... Just lots of fun.

Gantry Plaza State Park is located in Long Island City in Queens and is a great park with a lot of family-friendly activities with a dog park, sand volleyball, dining, open spaces, and with some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, especially at sunset. There is also a ferry that goes across to Manhattan, but is also conveniently located near a couple of subway stops. Entrance to the park is free. Its a former dockyards so it is interesting to see how they have repurposed the area into something everyone can use. There is free parking located nearby on the street.

We thought it be different to see a park that wasn’t central park! We were staying in Queens, so it was easy to get there, the parking was $10, unbelievable, and my kids love the park! I have two boys age 2 and 4. It was a lot of fun for many different ages, and the park faced the river and the Manhattan skyline! It was wonderful. It’s an award-winning part designed by a famous architect, and was well worth our time. We wish we had time to take the ferry from there, but will plan to do so the next trip.

This park is absolutely great!!! And its greatness does not merely lay in the park itself. Its greatest asset is of course the view on the Manhattan skyline. Every day different, never boring. It is no wonder that this park has turned into a hotspot for photoshoots, wedding proposals and film locations. Its easy to get there with the subway (Vernon Boulevard on the 7 line) but even easier via the ferry (Hunters point South and Long Island City are both in the park).

Probably the best view of Manhattans midtown from Queens. I would recommend visiting this park during dusk. The sunset makes Manhattans Highline amazing. The view of the Empire States reflection on the East River is amazing. There is a fenced dog park for your dog. For kids, there is a protected playground. Also, volleyball net and Basketball court are available for quality time. I do recommend to visit the PEPSI-COLA sign. It is breath-taking. Street PARKING is hard to find especially during evening time. Paid parking is available almost every other street. Food truck and ice cream trucks are there for your convenience.

Something like a modern Queens oasis and a very lovely park - various areas to sit or picnic, great for walking or biking along, dog friendly (some areas more than others), kid friendly - with a lovely view of Manhattan across the river. Accessible by various means - bikes/rideshares, subway (~10 min walk), ferry boat - with limited street parking (like everywhere else in NYC, to be fair). There are a handful of food establishments nearby and Vernon Blvd is fairly close for additional options. Manhattan is across the river, as well.
