I like the S and T Store. Spice and Tea. Random people in the train. I sat across from the singing man. Thankfully! Once I sat down he began to randomly sing an R Kelly song. I then went to the food market where I saw the largest shrimp I have ever seen! If you are a person that likes Bread and cheese theres a nice selection. The seafood selection is nice too. This is not a vegan friendly place.ijs

Wonderful range of food emporium shops...sadly, about half have reopened. The hustle and bustle of this market is lacking right now with less traffic in GCS and the midtown area. Always able to get fresh and prepared foods. I am hopeful that this market will bounce back. Good music to the merchants who have reopened. If you are in GCS, do stop in and support the shops!!!

Im in love with this place! I could come here every day. Best to come early in the day before the crowds. Grand Central Market has fresh meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables. There is a lot else to see make sure you slowly walk up and down both sides so not to miss anything.

Pretty pricey but the quality in general is very good. The Grand Central Market can be easily found on the east side of the Concourse centered between the Graybar and the Lexington passages. At the far east, near Lexington entrance you will find the all Organic Farm to Table produce.

Recently visited NYC and passed by the Grand Central Market as we have on quite a few occasions in the past. This is an attractive food market with a nice range of high quality food items. It is a nice place to visit if you are in the area and enjoy food markets or if you are awaiting your train departure and looking for a way to kill some time.Food stalls and counters offer up delicious looking cheeses, meats, fish, produce, coffee beans, spices, candies, cakes and pastries as well as dry goods that are interesting to see and potentially purchase. It is a good place to take pictures as well.We didnt buy anything on this particular visit, simply enjoying our browse through the market to see what was on offer on the day. In the past we have picked up very good morning breads, sticky buns, cheese cake and fruit at the Market. It is easy to find the Grand Central Market from within Grand Central Station. It is more or less directly above the Lower Level food court. You can enter directly from Lexington Avenue as well.

The Grand Central Market is my favorite place to buy fresh bread, cheese and charcuterie. My personal favorites are the bread from Elis Bread and Pastry (right next to the entrance on Lexington Avenue) and the artinal salamis which are for sale on several shops. The location is perfect for me and a lot of other commuters: Ideal to buy some fresh, high quality products before takig the train or the subway!

Unfortunately, its closed, due to Covid-19. It will hopefully reopen soon. Usually its a very nice place with lots of food choices for commuters and tourists alike. Alas, I only saw one or two stalls within the Market that was actually open. I pray the Market can survive financially.

Great selection of some of the best food shops in the City presented in short form here, together with a few unknowns, possibly just piggy backing on the well known ones. Murrays and Eli Zabar are well known old timers, the seafood store and Italian meat store are high quality too. Prices are typically high UES style. Fairway and even Whole Foods have better values and sometime better quality. You are paying for convenience here of course.

Fantastic except for Eli Zabar where they sell extremely stale cookies. Otherwise - great meats and fish, spices of all kinds, super cheeses, excellent produce and floral, and a nice selection of natural foods. Easy to miss if you’re a tourist, def worth seeing if you’re in Grand Central or nearby.

A specialist food store situated in the heart of Grand Central station. The fish counter, the cheese counter, the tea/coffee counter, the delicatessen counter... all displayed with the finest produce.. and then the bakery counter! About 20 units on sale at 4 pm on a Saturday.. letting the place down. Always a pleasure to soak up the ambience of this place. Compliments to all concerned

WOW. Never been to this and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Compared to how nice Grand Central already is it fits right in. Similar to the other holiday markets popping up around the city, they offer small local businesses that have unique items and gift ideas for the family.I ended up buying a pen for my dad (long running joke story) from a man who makes custom pens by hand from odd items. Credit cards, phone chips, bullets, gears, and others. He had a line of real wood ones he carved for $55 so I got a Cherry wood one that looked really nice. Nice man too!A lot of these shops are a bit on the high side but its nyc and its grand central area. Also there is not as many shops as other markets. Other than that, go explore!

Amazing selection of high-end fresh food. Be prepared to mortgage your condo for a bit of the action though. $46/lb for salmon should have most people running, but they dont. On those occasions where I am daft enough to have $200 to spend on an intimate evening for 2 at home, I really should just go out to eat, no? You cant replace a home-cooked meal, even if going out is cheaper, when you have the right ingredients. Not for everyday shopping, of course.

Grand Central Market is a great place to get fresh fruits, veggies and they have a great meat selection. I like walking in and suddenly you smell the freshness of their flowers and fresh foods; no smell of trains or the beautifully clean NYC streets. When staying in the area for work, or fun, I recommend this place to get some fresh healthy groceries. And when you miss your connection at the station it is easy to walk in and get a fresh snack while you wait.Looking to freshen up your day, just walk in to the Grand Central Market.

I LOVEZ this market! Yes, I said LOVEZ. I stop at GCM after work often. While crowded, the actual workers are kind, knowledgeable and most are fun to work with. Finally, Zabars fresh flowers at the entryway is always inviting.
