There’s a 50 year tradition of live music here. If you are looking for live music in the French Quarter, you’ll want to make it a must visit.Service is good, but do understand, that when it’s busy, service can be a bit slower. The drinks are plentiful and prices reasonable. Enjoy a hurricane here, and enjoy the music. Don’t be shy to tip!

I highly recommend you come and check it out. They are super friendly and is just located down town in the French Quarter. It has a great atmosphere and cute court yard.

Nice reprieve from the craziness of Bourbon Street. Cozy spot with good music and some of the most inattentive bartenders Ive ever seen. Bartenders spend more time looking at their phone than working with customers. Theres better places on Frenchmen but worth a visit if youre on Bourbon.

Great music, nice bar. Staff were obnoxious to say the least. Bought drinks at the bar as everyone needs to buy at least one drink to enter. They then tried to make me buy another drink as they conveniently forgot that I had already bought a round. I ordered a glass of water for which they wanted $10. I would recommend one tries another pub.

Even though Fritzels is in the heart of Bourbon street, it still manages to keep a cozy and comfortable vibe, almost as if the whole place is a bunch of friends gathered at home for a night of good music. The musicians were friendly and joyous. If there are no seats available when you enter, just wait until the current set is finished as many people will leave.

This is an amazing Jazz Club. They play traditional Jazz music at 9pm every night. My only recommendation is to get there early because it fills up very fast at about 8:45pm-ish. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s usually a mature audience so there’s no crazy things going on. Also, there is a secret Speakeasy upstairs but you can only gain entrance if you get a local person to give you the password to go upstairs.

Music was great BUT those eastern Europeans working there dont show any mercy at closing times! The band had just collected tips for another set so I bought another drink. After 2 short songs they packed up to leave and I was promptly told by staff that I should leave as it was closing time. When I asked why I was sold a drink so close to closing time, they said it was not their problem that the band decided to finish early. The staff was very rude towards the remaining guests asking them to leave immediately. This was in stark contrast to my experience of American hospitality before and during our trip.

The Fritzels all star band was amazing and so talented. Drinks werent cheap, but there was no cover, and the prices were fair. Bathrooms are limited to 1 per gender, but people didnt care and used on a first-come-first-served basis which really sped up the line. Great time!

Not impressed with this place at all! Music was very good though! There is a requirement that you have to have at least 1 drink while in there which was pricey ($7.50 for 1 beer) and the 4 of us were willing to do this to listen to the live music. Staff was rude, 1 lady took our order then never brought us our drinks then another lady came over and we had to reorder our drinks with her. When we got our bill they put a $7.00 gratuity fee on it. Ridiculous way to steal people’s money. This place was a waste of time and do not recommend going at all!

The place is tiny so get their early to get a good spot. But the upside is you’re never more than 30 feet from the show. Tried to visit here years ago but couldn’t get a seat or even a place to stand. The quality of music and entertainment is extra great considering the price is simply buying a drink. The arrangement of band members changes by the night but the quality is still high. They knew every request my buddy made, even the obscure songs.Went there (before and) after our Ironman 70.3. Everyone was extra nice to us that evening after we punished ourselves all morning.Though many “younger” folks are boozing it up on Bourbon, this is a nice place to come relax away from the hustle and vomit and stink. Best place on BS for sure.
