Elegant place to chill and listen to music. Great atmosphere. Music was not too loud and you could hear all the instrumentalists clear. Would definitely go back. The chandelier outside is awesome!

Can to New Orleans for a weekend getaway and try its famous food and enjoy the music. Wanted to avoid the craziness of the bars and found this low key lounge featuring great jazz music. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Staff was hospitable and our waitress Jamie was very nice. Only slight negative is there wasnt a dress code and a lot of the patrons wore very casual clothes. Id definitely check this place out again if Im in town.

Purchased a NYE ticket for $180. It was advertised as dinner and jazz show. My seat was directly behind a huge pillar that obstructed over half the stage of my view. I brought attention to it to the person organized who claimed more seating would become available once dinner was moved and the show started. That never happened. Also dinner was more hours devours than a meal. The samples were empty a majority of the meal time. Entirely disappointed in the quality of the evening for the cost. The only reason that this is not a 1 star review is because the wait staff was incredibly friendly, and the music (Sierra green and the sound machine) was good (but way too slow for a NYE party)Picture below shows the beam.. missing 3 of the performers (piano/keyboard being the part I was most excited about but couldnt see).

This is an excellent jazz show. The band is top notch. The ambiance is really cool and comfortable. You dont have the craziness of the crowd on Bourbon Street. It is the place to be to enjoy yourself, have good bite, get a great drink and listen to the fantastic music!!!

Great cocktails, incredible jazz (saw the nayo jones experience), and good food. A very classy place to see some truly top-notch jazz musicians. We reserved our seats for $20 each just to assure we got front row seats, but there’s not a bad seat in the place if you just walk in for free. Must get a drink per set but you’ll probably end up getting more than that anyway. This is the place to be. xx

Fantastic place for a large party! I worked with Lauren who was a wonderful person to coordinate with. Food in the jazz area is delicious and they have lots of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. They offer a variety of custom cakes as well from their own pastry chef! The jazz band was super fun and talented. Highly recommend!

Used to be much better. Classy place you could just walk in and enjoy an intimate table. Now they want you to have reservations and much of the seating is set up in lines of chairs so they can maximize the new minimum drink per set. There are better options now.

With all the jazz options in NOLA its hard to pick a spot to choose from but if youre up for a classy night of good music in a upscale atmosphere this is the spot. Its such a pleasure to go somewhere where the music is good and the people are nice and friendly and you know youre somewhere with class. All in all its a good choice for a nice experience

I came with some distant family members last weekend. The jazz singer/band was excellent and then the dancer started taking her clothes off. Perhaps some sort of signage or verbal warning from the hostess at the door would be helpful. It wasnt the kind of entertainment we were looking for.

Great place to enjoy some jazz-music and cocktails. You need to arrive early to be able to find a place to sit. The jazz playhouse is located on the famous Bourbon Street in the French quarter. And although it is located on Bourbon Street it is easy to pass by without noticing it.The bar is very neat and offers all kinds of drinks and food to enjoy during the show. The jazz playhouse is one of my favourite places in New Orleans and definitely a hidden gem.

Great place that’s different from the normal bourbon street bar. We passed by and didn’t see it at first since the entrance is inside a hotel. There was a tiny bit of a wait getting a table on a Saturday in the middle of a performance, but our server came over right away. Great service, for sure. Two tables around us ordered the chocolate cake, and it looked amazing! The entertainment was really great as well!!

Truly a relaxful place right off of Bourbon. The drinks were very well done. Not weak at all! The entertainment was out of this world and interactive with the audience. For a Sunday night, it was happening. We just had some apps and they were nothing to write home about, but are still good.

The Jazz playhouse was very nice, good service, food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the band playing was very disappointing. Spent more time talking then playing and the regular asking of tips is something I would expect from some other venues not a place like the jazz playhouse. They didnt play more than 3 songs before taking a break! But then also talked in between the songs. Gave 4 stars since we really enjoyed the venue though.

Fun place to visit. I would recommend arriving early if you want a good seat. People do come and go so seats open throughout the night. Dropped a star because the drink prices avg $15. The signtlines can vary because there is a giant pillar in the middle of the room... Other than that...pass the peas!

What a wonderful time this was. The Nayo Jones Experience was the featured performance, and they were extremely enjoyable to listen to. Wow, what a disappointment! Was in NOLA four years ago and heard a fantastic music set that was ACTUALLY jazz music, wonderful staff & ambience.... came here tonight with high expectations. Found the ambiance just ruined ...the staff could not be bothered to close the drapes so you felt like it was a club rather then a hotel lobby. The music in between sets was not jazz, in fact, it was like they were trying to be a dance club ...when the band returned, still to doors open to lobby ...lights up high ...they did the POOREST version of Sunny Side of the Street that I have ever heard, then launched into some kind of rap version of music (put your hands in the air baloney?? ) ...this is no longer the Etta James listening, beautiful experience, the service was terrible, the staff told us when we asked to move because our view was obstructed & poor that we needed to just wait so they could rudely ignore us and do nothing... unreal ...really sad ...save your money ...go to Frenchman street!
