This place is amazing for listening to good jam sessions. The space is quite big but the acoustics are great. The only problem is that it is always crowded and the service is quite slow.

Live music, drinks, appetizers, excellent service, and everything you could ask for. This place is absolutely amazing, I had a great time. I was specially happy because they were able to accommodate a table of 8 which was mission impossible in other 5 restaurants within the same few blocks. The musicians were incredibly talented and kept the crowd well entertained.

Have been to this spot as well as almost all of the spots on Frenchmen street multiple times. This place consistently seems to always be my favorite club on Frenchmen. The music is always good no matter who is playing and you can feel the soul with the sound of what a New Orleans music club should have. Even when it’s busy getting drinks at the bar isn’t as difficult or take as long as it should; the bartenders are always adept at taking a mental note when you walk up and come to you or acknowledge you even if they can’t take your order at that given moment. Drinks are better priced than some of its neighbors such as Bamboulas and has one of the better ambiance’s on Frenchmen, it always seems to be the proper lighting compared to other clubs in the area. Pro-Tip: check out an early daytime show here, it is a good change of pace to actually check out some of the offers The Maison has such as their specialty cocktails or some food off of their menu. I would recommend trying one of their Bloody Mary’s if you go during the day, it will be one of the most ridiculously overstuffed and delicious Bloody Mary’s you will have in your life.

Both the food and the atmosphere at The Maison are wonderful. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience and one that will have me going back whenever I’m in town.

The mixology class we took was so much fun. Us four ladies HAD A BLAST. I wish right now I could remember the bartenders name because he was great!!!! Well worth it.

So incredibly happy that we were able to come to this Great establishment. The Maison had some of the most talented singers and bands in New Orleans. Last night we caught Sierra Green and the Soul Machine. Man this group so great. For a Monday the place was so lively. They also have a full bar and serve food as well but I believe the kitchen [email protected].. Its also pretty spacious,seating along side the front area and extra in the back if you dont want to be in the mix or front and center. If you come to visit this colorful city stop by the Maison you wont regret it.

Great food and atmosphere. Wood floors and a live band good selection of beer and it didn’t take too long. Had the red beans and rice with extra sausage. Buddy had gumbo and another had a po-boy. Worth the time and the money when you are I. Town. Great area to walk around.

This was my favorite place to visit when I went to New Orleans and I loved all the clubs on Frenchmen. The music and atmosphere were amazing, the Bloody Marys are epic, and the staff were amazing.

Had the best experience as the band playing here every Thursday’s is truly a power packed band. Haven’t heard to date any jazz heavy metal fusion. Any band that can cover smells like teen spirit and backstreet boys with equal pomp and punk is worth every time you spend listening too. Its an okay bar. They bring decent shows there. The worst is the bathroom attendant. Hes a nice guy, but unnecessary. All of his wares makes a crowded space. The bartenders seem overwhelmed and ignore the next up concept. Or they are a bunch of racists. I am not a big drinker so when I am overlooked at a 1 drink minimum place I am winning. So, there is that. I would only go here if there is a band you want to hear.

The bar is nice. We went on a Tuesday at 5pm and it was bumping. The band played good music. We got a port of New Orleans drink and walk the line drinks. It was pretty good. I would definitely come back again . They have 3 levels but on a Tuesday only one level of operational.

Great jazz band playing on the lower level but we didnt go upstairs so I cant speak to that.Drinks were good and stiff, the garlic parmesan fries were good but the jambalaya bites were only ok.Limited seating is available, but theres seating at the bar, too.Good casual place to enjoy some great music and get a little drunk.

The Maison is located on Frenchmen street where there are many clubs play live music. The Maison caught our attention and kept it for the whole evening during our dinner. The service was great and we even got compd our app due to long wait times. Nonetheless the food was good and the music was better. Great night life scene!

Great live music venue. Try and catch City of Tree Brass Band there. Phenomenal live music act. We’ve seen them twice now and highly recommend (they also frequent Bamboulas next door).

What an amazing place.Amazing bands. Live music. Great singers.We went here for the after party of my 40th bday & what a WONDERFUL TIME we had!!! I was able to have a booth, private area off to the side with a birds eye view to the stage & I even joined the band on stage as they sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me. How great is that???The drinks were ON & POPPIN, and I never paid for one... Folks in the club kept sending me drunk after drink after drink after drink... This was a GREAT END to a FANTABULOUS DAY!!!

Amazing vibes, great drinks, places to sit in the back but also a place to dance up front! Even on a Sunday night it was high energy. All the performers were fantastic, highly recommend.

My husband and I came here for the mixology class for two that I found on Groupon. We loved it! I was so nervous to book it after reading reviews about the bar but figured I would take a chance for the experience. I am so glad I did! Lindsay was our teacher for the mixology class and she tells you a lot about history of the drinks you make. Loved her and the class! We had so much fun. Thank you Lindsay!

Great little bar on Frenchman St. The live music was decent. Stopped in for a couple drinks. I recommend the garlic fries to share. They were pretty damn good. The drinks took a little while to get, but they seemed little backed up.

The bands who played there were great! The service can be better. For about 45 minutes I requested a table. I was told I could not be seated but they were seating others who arrived after my husband and I. There are other places with better service.

Great music! Frenchman st is way better to party at than Bourbon st! (Especially if you’re older than just turning 21)

Fun place for live music in the Marigny. Zydeco band alternated with a country swing in the front on the night we were there. Food is pretty good too.

Great music from local musicians, amazing selection if liquor, beer, wine, and cocktails, and some decent food to boot. The service are amazingly nice and have practiced the art of taking orders while full volume concert is going on. There are a lot of choices to music around it, but I felt happy choosing to spend a night here with a 1920s style brass/big band.

I had the Pulled Pork sandwich topped with mac & cheese and coleslaw. And WOW! The pork is so tender and juicy and the mac & cheese just elevated the sandwhich to a whole other level. The mac & cheese had this great smoky flavor and it gave the pork that extra smokiness. Ive had some good BBQ from across different states but this has got to be my favorite! Definitely worth the money and you gotta try this sandwich! Its my new fav :)

I love this place .. we had spent the prior evening in the French Quarter and our Uber driver told us about the French Market district around Frenchman street. It did not disappoint.This area seems like more of a locals scene and there are some other jazz bars and restaurants so plenty to see. The food there was fantastic ... I couldnt help the lighting but I had the penne shrimp Alfredo and it was so so good. My hubby had this massive po boy which also was amazing.The music here was wonderful as the group playing mixed it up with jazz and some old rock and roll.

Great atmosphere with live music. Discovered a really great jazz band here back in 2011 and still listen to them to this day.

We were able to get a table here around 7pm on a Friday night with no issue, so thats good. The music was so-so though so we only stayed long enough to order some drinks and then left. The Port of New Orleans drink I ordered tasted strangely like robitussin cough syrup, so I had two sips and decided I had enough. Service was okay though.

Had the cocktail making class offered by Lindsey which was AMAZING. History and New Orleans flavor at The Maison. Cheers !!!

We had a great time here! The food and music was awesome! Prices are fair and our waitress was outstanding! I would recommend if youre looking for a great meal with live music.

The band was great. Our waiter Doug was awesome. When I went to the bar to get a cup of water, the bartender(Louise) acted like I was bothering her. She looked at me and said, You know you are supposed to ask the waiter if you need anything. Well I was sick with an upper respiratory infection caused by my asthma. That being said, I was trying to get a lot of fluids inside of me which caused me to make a couple of trips to the bar.

Good bar to watch live music and grab some house special cocktails.Speakers can get a little loud near the bar and I ended up moving towards that back bar. Couldnt get house special drinks there so would alternate to keep my ears from popping

Managed to get a great table here on Saturday evening, we had a fantastic server and food & drinks were superb. The band was much better than the previous place we went to, and the late night band was great too. Also they were able to put on the World Series on the TV for us, go Astros!

Truly the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. We rented out the upstairs for a private event and the bouncers were absolutely cruel human beings who do not deserve a single penny from anyone. As someone who also works in the service industry this bar is a DISGRACE. All of us who attended this party are going to make sure we inform people of how terribly we were treated so that no one has to experience the same. I am scarred from the experience here and cannot believe how a business such as this is still able to run in this way.

Visited with a group of 6, sat us at the nicest table with no wait or cover charge on a Friday night. Great music, best wings Ive had in a long time.

First time ever in New Orleans!!! We wanted to stop here, eat and listed to music. There was only two of us and they were saving the 4-person table for a group of 4. There were two others (from jersey), waiting for a two-seater so I approached and we agreed to sit together at the 4-seater. I truly enjoyed the music. Sure, its a little dark inside but do not let that stop you. Ordered the pasta dish and some local beer. All round it was excellent. It was great chatting with the folks from Jersey as well. Bought some local CDs from the preforming group Tuba Skinny (Excellent!). There was a parking lot just two blocks away so we did not have to walk far.

Here on a Sunday morning. Very cool vibe. Nice bar with excellent Bloody Marys although pricey. Cool jazz band playing with a dancing duo.

We planned a trip to NO just to go to jazz clubs. We came to the Maison during the Memorial Day weekend, mainly because it allows non adults during certain hours. The food, staff, and jazz were terrific. As a matter of fact, we had such a great time the first day, we came back to the Maison on our second day, and this was the only club we attended, as it had it all.

My organization, unfortunately, rented the upstairs for an event. When we arrived the bouncer told us that we had to wait to go upstairs even though we had arrived 30 minutes late. When the bouncer started speaking in an incredibly rude tone to the person who planned the event, I said You dont have to be so disrespectful, and I was thrown out of the venue for that comment. Afterwards, the other bouncers escorted half of our organization members out of the venue for *looking* like they were drunk. They also stood in the restrooms to make sure no one was walking in with a drink and giving it to an underage guest. Will never pay money at this establishment again.

This place can’t handle being busy. Understaffed, took an hour after asking for our check to get it. Couple sat down next to us and never got served so they left after an hour. Bathroom attendant was on the phone and was telling people not to use the hand dryer bc it was too loud for her conversation, and the bathroom was messy. Only giving stars bc music is good and really good shrimp and grits.

Having a reservation for dinner was very helpful. Food good. Service good.

Absolutely the best brunch place! They had the perfect seating area for 15 girls, live music with professional singing and dancing on one side, and the NFL on the TV on the other. The pitchers of mimosas and bloody Marys and great food was the cherry on top. Plus quiet enough that we could all hear eachother!

I rarely give 5 stars, but this place is phenomenal. Music, atmosphere, food, cocktails, service. The only thing that could be improved are the restrooms, but they arent untoward.

Live music is great and they are interactive with the crowd. Usually no cover and special DJs. My favorite part is the fact that the third level is usually Hispanic music for those who want to dance.

Good music, decent bar and wait staff. They should redo their policy of reserving tables, though. They were kicking out paying customers who had eaten dinner and who were really paying attention to the musicians were kicked out of their seats, to make room!

Stopped by shortly after the Maison opened for the evening (4PM) and enjoyed a few drinks and great live Jazz. Got to see the St Roch syncapators, a very talented ensemble! Good selection of beer and specialty cocktails. I know the place does get crowded but coming in that early, it was a nice crowd but manageable. Staff is friendly and you feel like you are in an authentic slice of NOLA as opposed to a tourist trap. Short walk from the last stop on the Riverfront streetcar line. #themaison #strochsyncapators

Loved this place! My husband and I were searching for good live music on Frenchman Street. We originally went to the Three Muses for dinner and music but were dissappointed because we wanted Dixieland jazz and we got country. This place made up for what we lacked at dinner immensely! The band was AMAZING, we ended up buying both of their CDs. The drinks and staff were good. We wished we just came here to eat as well because the food looked good. We will definitely be doing that when we come back! Also, theres no cover so they ask that you tip the bands instead. Go, you wont regret it!!

I was in NOLA for a conference and wanted to get out to enjoy live music and have food, so I googled and found this spot. Unfortunately, I arrived too late to eat, however I arrived in time for an awesome ban, Brass-A-Holics!! So much fun, no cover, great crowd, and reasonably priced drinks. There is additional space to party upstairs, but that night the best place to be was on the main level. Enjoyed The Maison so much that I found myself back there again to get my live music fix on my last night in the city. Jason Neville & The Funky Soul Band did not disappoint! Needless to say, I will be back the next time I am in New Orleans.

Is the funkiest place i have ever been in, magical life music, awesone drinks (the Bloody Mary are amazing) The night i was there the was a magnificent quintent playing amazingly this mex of jazz, funk and modern music. AWESOME.

Awesome band and singer tonight

Great Sunday jazz brunch! This place continues to befuddle me. Classy restaurante during the day, kicking music venue by night. Theyve got it all.

The garden district is definitely worth visiting. Lots of street side free parking available. Download a free walking tour before you go - there are several available and they give background information on the houses, architecture, and history. We spent about an hour and a half walking in the garden district and really enjoyed it.

Great place where to eat (they serve different kind of local food, all we tasted was yummy) and where to listen to live music: the place features 2 stages and musicians alternate every couple of hours
