Cozy and large cigar bar with outdoor seating. There is live music each night, mainly in the blues and jazz genre. The musical guests are phenomenal and highly talented. I love The Betty Shirley Band.The staff members are warm and welcoming, and are very knowledgeable about their crafts.The beverage and cigar selection are both reasonably price and eclectic. A must visit if you are a cigar fan. I’ve visited this spot many, many, times due to a dear friend inviting me once a few years back. I love it!

Excellent place for live music and some cigar smoking. In town on a work detail so decided to have some Saturday night fun. The zydeco band playing was awesome. We brought in our own cigars. The mixed drink I was drinking was priced fair. Wait staff was fun and happy to serve us. A good mix of male & female people in the club. Good fun and I would do it again!

Neat bar good atmosphere. Cigar selection is limited and overpriced as you should expect at a place that is more of a cigar bar than a cigar lounge, but unlike many cigar bars at least the humidor seemed be correctly maintained. There also was a good Jazz band playing that night.

Excellent service, the food truck outside has the best tacos and a very nice cigar selection. The band was on point, they have a band calendar on their website.Come out to this place and have a cigar and drink! Oh everything was $65 couldnt get any better!

Has to be my favorite bar in NOLA. Got to listen to some great Jazz sets while enjoying some Gin Cocktails and a Rocky Patel cigar. Bartender Katie was great. Fantastic service!

By far the best experience Ive ever had in New Orleans! Mark Coleman Trio was playing and Rob had the bar on point! A great selection of Cigars are only diplay for purchase to the right of the bar. I carefully selected several and commenced to enjoying the live music, great whiskey and smooth cigars! Definitely the definition of a Jazz/Cigar bar! Plenty of seating and a pool table in the upper viewing area! Will definitely be back!

Dos Jefes is a classic dive bar/smoking lounge. The added bonus is the live music! Take a look around at the wooden indians, the case of fine cigars, and your fellow patrons, equally as interesting! The band was Keith Stone and Red Gravy, with special guest Lionel Batiste Jr. on percussion and Kazoo.We got there for the first set, and a round of drinks, and some cigars. Good music, fine drink, and cigars. It cold almost transport you into a different place and time!I suggest taking a Lyft or Uber, although there is plenty of parking. Usually not a cover, but I urge you to tip the band and the wait staff - they know the drink selections and can be fun and sassy.While it is not in the French quarter, It is a real out of the way fun place to experience New Orleans. Dont go if you have allergies or reactions to cigar smoke. Do go for the atmosphere and music.

This is my favorite, best kept secret in New Orleans. What incredible ambience. What friendly staff. What great drink prices. And the jazz talent is world class in an intimate, cozy, neighborhood, rustic, welcoming, awesome setting. This place is crazy fantastic!

Have loved coming here for 20 years. The owners and staff have always been great. They even put an uber on their account on one occasion when we couldnt get a cab. Lovely spot for a cigar and local music. Uptown hidden gem.

I came here to see a close friend perform. I sat down and ordered a Cosmo which was delivered with a gnat in it. I called the lady over with the glasses on top of her head and told her there was a gnat in my drink. She looked at it and turned to me and shrugged her shoulders. She says: well its summer in New Orleans and I cant promise the next drink wont have one. She turned and cut her eyes while she walked off to fix me another. I got up to go tell her nevermind and she says: well Im already fixing it. I wont go back. I will visit the jazz artists at another venue.

The best little cigar bar around! The ambience is dark and smoky, but in a old-school lounge not a dive-y way. Clientele is mostly above 30 (or more), not the place if you wanna get raucous (cmon, its a cigar bar/lounge for Petes sake). Drink prices are very reasonable. Its just old-school cool.

Seeing John Fohl is a treat and they have a nice selection of local beer.

When I first moved here Id come to this place and have a cocktail and coined the phrase LNL, for lets never leave. This is quintessential New Orleans, a small old bar on a mostly residential street, lots of great local musicians, an impressive bourbon list, and what Im assuming is a great cigar selection. I always leave this place smelling of cigar smoke, my mouth tastes of bourbon and Im filled with happiness from whatever music was just playing a few feet in front of me.

Limited selection of overpriced cigars and a bartender with the manners of a wet cat.I wish there was a separate rating for individual servers, because there was a lady walking around tending to guests who deserves 6/5 stars.The music on the night I went was fantastic. Loud, even where we sat in the very back, but fantastic.This is NOT a cigar bar. It is a bar that happens to sell a few cigars. My advice, bring your own cigar and buy a drink at the bar and youll have a good time.

Jan 01, 2018, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! We stopped in to engage in the cigar bar. Great thing about this place & how we came to choose it, was because of its late closing time... 3am!!!!! So off we go!!!!Arriving was cool; not too many stares as we entered, stranger danger... Lol. I made my way to the cigar case for selection. When I decided, I elicited the assistance of John, the vest & pageboy clad bartender, for purchase. He clipped them and allowed us to use his lighter to get the party started. The price range on cigars was cool & affordable.Because this was New Years Eve/New Years Day, there were sandwich trays to celebrate... How cool!!!!Met a nice lady Tanya (ton-ya) & we shared NEW YEARs Resolutions, of which I made NONE; we talked pooches & traded ER work stories. This was a great night cap; great cigar & convo.Lots of room to move about in the cigar bar & even an open back room with lounges & mini-sofas. Good that you can get a drink as well while puffing on the gar.Street parking is available & there are a few spaces on the side for angled parking.I plan to return; I understand theres live music here on some days... hopefully theyll be sandwiches then as well.

If you want to smoke indoors, this is the only place left I know of. Awesome local music acts. Nice outdoor space when the weather permits. Laid back atmosphere with generally friendly staff. Food trucks in the evening provide a dining option (Taco Loceaux started here). Good selection of booze and bottled beer.

One of the last bars in the area that are grandfathered into the smoking is allowed in bars law. Primarily a locals joint. Has pool tables and good live music every so often. Also attracts the local food trucks, so a good place to stop in for a beer & a meal.

Special place! Unique and nestled uptown where neighborhood spot turns promotive. Cigar choice and storage well done. Pool table in back always active, outside patio area with table games. Best is the service, and the music, live Music with a closeness and tolerable volume, intimate even.

They have the best atmosphere and can offer more than most. They have fair priced cigars and some of the best scotch in town. Comes highly recommended.

Small New Orleans kinda cigar joint. Its a local thing yall. A huge selection of premium liquor, beer and wine at very reasonable prices. The live music is always nice, sometimes very lively, sometimes just chill. Being a small joint, if everyone is puffing away, the space fill quickly with that good ole smoky smoke. For me, this is pleasant. Not sure if there is much the owners could do. But it would be nice if there was some sort of ventilation to pull the smoke out. Anywho, I deal with and go back soon. Like it that much

We come here often to celebrate many things. Its definitely a Smokey place to be in, but the staff has always been great and the live music is a good bonus. Their outdoor area always attracts us (especially the swings!) And our group will set up coozily in the corner. Love this place.

Wide selection of wine, spirits, and cigars. The perfect place to unwind with your favorite libation. Personally, Im not a huge jazz fan, therefore, I cannot comment on the quality of the live musicians. We will sit outside where the music is at a lower decibel level so we can still converse.

Smoking cigar bar. Great selection of wisky and a somewhat limited but good selection of cigars. The music was phenomenal. The night I went was John Fohl who if hes playing you should without a doubt go see.

Nice spot! I would call this a hole in the wall and where Im from thats a good thing. This is a local spot away from the touristy french quarter. The live music was great. Tom Hook and Wendell Brunious performed and took requests. This will definitely be a stop on my next trip to New Orleans.

I had never been to a cigar bar and didnt even know they existed until a friend said we should go, but we had a very good time. While I was there the power cut but they kept service going, got some candles out and the band kept playing. The music was very different from what Im used to, so much so that I can barely put a genre to it! If ever I find myself back in New Orleans Ill certainly be visiting again.
