Coastal trails are one of my favorites! This was no exception as it was easy breeze beautiful. Trail was well worn and marked and maintained. There’s definitely a bit of foot traffic but the views are worth the short trip. There’s a few anchors bolted up near the beach for the rest of you climbers out there

Closest state beach to Los Angeles. Great walking on the point and along the beaches. Walking the Pt Dume trails in spring, you can see the brilliant yellow blooms of the tree like Coreopsis Gigantea. Great beach for body surfing with lots of steep beach and shore break. This also means there can be strong undertoe and riptide if you have youngsters or inexperienced ocean swimmers. If you find yourself being pulled out, put your feet down and walk in. If you are unable to walk in, swim parallel to the beach against the current. This is a South facing beach. Usually the long shore currents will rum West to East, meaning you will want to swim West, into the current, in the direction you feel the water pushing you as it runs parallel to the shore. The water will appear rough and brown from the sand it kicks up and will extend from the shore out to deep water. Look to the lifeguard stations and on duty lifeguards for more information

Me & my family took my mother here for Mothers Day. It was a beautiful day out and the gardens were beautiful. However, since it was Mothers Day it was rather crowded and parking was hard to find. The roses were beautiful and in full bloom. It was a really nice place to take the family if you are into these things. Its $7 for admission plus additional fees for any guided tours. I recommend this place around April/May when the roses are blooming. We were a little late for the camellias as there were not more flowers. They have a restaurant and other snack vendors if you get hungry. They also have a marketplace to buy trinkets and other house decorating items.

Gorgeous ocean and cliffs. We went to go climbing and see malibu but they were filming and we werent able to climb (#malibu I guess). However there was a friendly seal and the ocean is gorgeous here. $6 to park and there are public bathrooms. Overall it was worth it but the trash and crowds made it not a full 5 stars for me.

Definitely ones of the most beautiful beaches in Malibu. The cove usually does not have many people at all, but requires a small hike to get there. Seals often hang out below a portion of the trail at the bottom of the cliff. Always has been and always will be one of my favorite beaches in SoCal.

The most beautiful beach i have been to. There are a lot of fun things to do in Malibu. You can surf, rock climbing, swim and hiking. The most amazing thing is the sunset. Dont miss it! Take your girlfriend or boyfriend, lie on the cliff, look at the slowly sunset and kiss. Romantic.

Attended Pepperdine for grad school, almost 20yrs ago. However, this was my first visit to Point Dume. How I wish I had visited sooner! This is a nice beach, the main beach has a parking lot for $6 entry. I thought it was worth it, although there is also some street parking available. The beach was not heavily populated on the weekday I went, so it was pretty good social distancing. Also, the Point Dume Natural Preserve is there to walk around and take scenic photos from, which I enjoyed. Dont know that theres a lot of food or concessions around, so might be best to bring some drinks and snacks with you.

The space is pretty neat! I didnt really expect a lot from the installation, but I do wish it was a bit bigger. Ive seen so many incredible pictures that I kind of wanted to replicate, but it was hard when there were a bunch of people all moseying around the borders. I would say show up later in the evening/off peak season because its definitely not just a tourist attraction, though you can find mostly tourists all at one time.

Great place for hiking. Lots of flowers. Since its on the mountains, you have a wide angle when you take pictures for the ocean views, and there are some great spots right above the precipice for selfie. This place is also good for rock climbing fans. One cliff is steep and the surface of this cliff is smooth, I saw a lot of rock climber climbing there. Also, a huge beach is next to it.

Great views from most places on the trail.. A quick easy hike if youd even call it a hike. Its more like a stroll on a short dirt trail. Parking is an absolute nightmare.. there are maybe 12 spots and they all require parallel parking skills. No other complaints. Ill go there once a week on my way home...if nothing else to but clear my mind and enjoy the views....

This beach is shy of perfection and the view from Point Dume is worth visiting if you’re driving through Malibu. The parking situation is a HOT MESS. I parked by the houses near Point Dume elementary and walked there but you will get a ticket if you’re over the white lines on the sides of the street. I came back to my car and caught the officer just in time but a line of cars had tickets because their tires were over that line. Also the parking down at the beach was toooo much $$The hike up there is serene, relaxing and beautiful. I can’t imagine being there for sunrise or sunsets!

LOVE this place. Parking is very limited so you will most likely have to park in one of the nearby neighborhoods. Definitely obey all the signs and if there are white fog lines make sure that you are parked completely on the other side of them (so not in the road at all) or they WILL give you a ticket. From the road there is a path that leads toward the coast and you will eventually come to a staircase that leads down to the beach, or you can keep going up to the cliffs and the actual point that extends out into the water. SUPER pretty at sunset time. Photos by Carrie Rogers Photography (@carrierogersphotography)

This road, this people, food and drinks, the weather absolutely in love.South of Zuma Beach, houses begin popping up along Hwy-1 to block the oceanfront views, and more-elaborate multimillion-dollar homes dot the canyons above as well, forming the sprawling exurbia and movie-star playground of Malibu, which stretches along Hwy-1 for the next 27 miles to Santa Monica and metropolitan Los Angeles. The best road to drive, strictly my opinion.

Nice short scenic hike, maybe a half a mile hike. Loved the green, the ducks, sea and flowers! Not difficult hike, but would recommend good shoes. Terrain varies from rock, to sand, to slight inclines, to makeshift steps, to a brand new board walk. Lots of nice bends with beautiful views. You can start high and go down to the beach, just stay on top, or hike from low to high. More parking from the beach, but to start at the base you pay either $3 to $6 depending on the time (9am to 4pm I think is the higher charge time range). You can also park along the beach and walk to the base beach parking area, about a 15 minute walk and no fee. You can park on top, but very limited parking.

Great view, super easy to walk there, you dont have to be a hiker, a very short walk from. The parking will get you there. You cant park in front of the main gate, but theres a free parking very close. Theres an alternate path from the parking space that will also get you there, but its a shorter walk if you go along the road and go inside through the main gate. Though the alternate path from the parking space is also very doable if youre not fit, just take more time, like 5 minutes more. Yeah, you got it, Im talking to the non fit people out there, just go, its doable! Hahaha, you dont have to be a true hiker to walk those paths, its that easy.
