We have been going here for several years. Several things need some TLC. Staff not very friendly, this time. They were not mean just eeehhhaa. It is still a awesome place. A lot if amenities, great playground for the kids, several hot tubs, pools, places to walk, gym and lots more.

The view was amazing and our condo shared 2 elevators with 3 rooms on each of 15 floors, so you never had to wait on an elevator. Even with a tropical storm on the Texas side of the gulf our water was crystal clear and only really choppy one of the 7 days we were there. The pool was huge and live bands at the beach cantina every night were amazing!

Well possibly visit again. Friendly staff, clean facility. Private elevator wasnt so private, opening on both sides into other rooms. But overall a nice place to stay with private beach access, massive pool, and hot tub as well as tiki bar on the water.

Great condo and beautiful beach views! Also the poolside cabanas for pool/beach toy storage were the best thing ever! No need to haul everything all day! 10/10 would recommend!

Gorgeous, location is great, Resort is beautifully maintained and super clean, landscaping is beautiful and diverse, staff is friendly, families repeat coming on a yearly basis. We were fortunate and were able to get a really good deal. Otherwise we may not have been able to make it to Destin for the first time. Now that we have been here, we know that our family will be back again. Soon. Thank you.

Ive been visiting silver shells beach resorts and spa since 2013 and have stayed here all three times. Stayed in St Lucia building 803. Overall the property is well kept. It has multiple swimming pools. The Beach area is clean and right next to the national Park. The resort is family friendly around the clock security. Customer service ruins the experience here! Not to mention the room is in need of some TLC, a few lightbulbs are out, the water faucet Knob falls off when you touch it; the pull out mattress is ripped and the mattress sinks through it. Definitely wishing we booked else where for the price that we paid. Also no one answers the phone or they hang up on you unless you just keep calling.

This place was a nightmare. When we got their we had AC problems for the first 2 1/2 days. Then we had drain problems the next day. Then the last day we were their they had plumbing problems. OUR BATHROOM FLOODED! With 1 inch of water. This place was awe full the only good thing their is the water and pool. The management is AWEFUL as well.

Located next to Henderson State Park and set back far enough from the Gulf that the dunes are protected.

This resort is awesome. The condo St. Maarten 206 was cleaned, fully stocked, and had easy access to the beach. I wanted to personally name a couple of people that were outstanding. These people are the front desk clerks and everyone tgat work security.

I have been coming to The Spa at Silver Shells for over 3 years, I love how you are treated so special from the time you walk through the door Louise warmly greets. I have monthly pedis with Jessica and she is just the best. Jessica has also done my hair styles and highlites, along with my makeup for those special occasions.

This resort was great. It was in a very convient spot in the middle of Destin. The view from our room was beautiful. The semi private elevator made bring things in and out very convenient. Very nice pool area. Would definitely stay here again.

Top notch facility . Rooms all have an elevator to their separate rooms . There is a guard at front ensuring only that only the guests are here . The parking garage has designated stalls for your room and at night the gate closes to the parking lot . Felt very secure the whole time we were here .There are beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent . You cant bring your own umbrellas . For what you pay to stay here being socked an extra 50 bucks a day for 2 chairs seems ridiculous to me .The lagoon pool is very nice and contrary to what we were told in advance is heated until the end of March. Water felt great even though it was in the 60s the whole week we were here in MarchThere are 2 gas grills located on both sides of the building if you want to grill up a meal . They appeared to be cleaned daily .The views from the St. Marteen building were amazing. Could see both the lagoon pool and an amazing view of the gulf .The soa Includes plenty of workout machines and free weights for those looking for it. Also has a heated indoor outdoor pool . There is a hot tub as well . It opens at 7 am since my kids are early risers this is an awesome place away from the condos for them to expel some energy early.

Beautifully decorated condos within steps of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the U.S. Despite crazy tourist traffic, very easy to get to and from restaurants and shopping. There is a pool for each tower and a large pool in the middle of the complex giving you a choice of wading, swimmimng and hot tub pools if the beach is not your cup of tea. Daily or weekly chair and umbrella rental is easy to set up on the beach next to the outdoor Tiki Bar. Whether you are looking for a variety of water activities or just decompressing with the sound of waves crashing in the back ground, Silver Shells Beach Resort & Spa is the perfect place for coples, or families. Our experience was exceptional!

Condo was okay, however there are no curtains or blinds in either bedroom, not much fun having sunlight shining in your eyes at 6am on vacation!!!

So clean and perfect place to spend your vacation with family and friends.

We arrived and we were immediately greeted by a young man on foot who helped us figure out where we needed to go! The service is stellar, the views are gorgeous! The staff is extremely attentive and friendly!

Extremely rude employee started threatening my family with charging us with trespassing. Said we weren’t allowed to sit on the water line. That we were too close to his beach chair and even refused to back away when I told him to back up (social distancing he was inches from my husband’s face). He also dragged the beach chair closer to us (notice in the picture it isn’t beside its mate anymore). Which was weird because that’s not even a real rule.

Best resort weve stayed at hands down! We stayed in the St. Maarten building and had the easiest parking in our garage right by our semi private elevator that went directly to our room! Beautiful condo, beautiful resort!

When we walked in it was a mess nothing was clean and gross so they had to find us a new place to stay for the night while they clean and I dont even know if they will give us a refund plus they are way to strict so I would recommend the place I stayed last year Sterling Shores

One of the best vacation stays Ive ever had on the beach! Its a gated community with 24hr security. Always clean lobbies and hallways. The pool is huge and the beach is within minutes of the front door. Love it.

This is a great family oriented resort with an awesome heated pool, good set up, and great beach. We stayed here for a week (Saturday 3/16 to Friday 3/22) after booking through VRBO with a very nice couple. Your condo style unit will vary based on who you go through, so my review will focus on the management company for our unit (Compass Resorts) and The Silver Shells Resort itself.Compass Resorts: We were very happy with our dealings with compass. It began after booking through VRBO when Compas contacted us with the ability to add other guests (spouse, other family members coming, etc) so that they could see resort info and access the unit info. They have a nice app which answered all of our questions, provided some local information, and made contacting them with any questions a breeze. The day before our arrival they sent us an email and app notification that we should be able to check in the next day by 5pm at the latest and to contact them when we were 1 hour away. Later that day they contacted us to let us know our unit was ready early (2pm) and we could arrive whenever we liked. Upon arrival the check in was very quick and they gave us our room key fobs (2 were ready and they gave us 2 extra at our request), resort wristbands, and an explanation of entering and exiting the resort, beach, and unit. Our only other dealings with compass were for a maintenance request which was quickly fixed later that day. Overall they were great!Silver Shells Resort: The resort was great and very family friendly. Everything was very secure with one guard stand road access point (unless you have a clicker for the other gate) and each building requiring your key fob to access. The buildings have underground parking for every unit (some units multiple) and above ground parking for extra vehicles. We stayed in St. Marrten and our building had 4 elevators which accessed 2 rooms per floor (one front entry, one rear entry). This meant that the maximum number of units for each elevator was 22 units, but it was no where near that busy during our stay. We met a few silver shells employees (security, maintenance, pool supervision) and they were all nice. The main pool area is a gigantic area lagoon style and was heated to 85 degrees during our stay (air temp was 55 in the morning and 65-72 in the afternoon). They had a good sized hot pool as well. We very much enjoyed the pool area and again it was very secure. To get to the beach there were multiple walkways over the sand dunes including one that has a bar and grill with a deck area right on the beach. Every unit has a view of the ocean, easy elevator access to the ground, and only a couple hundred feet to get to the sand. The beach itself is plenty large for the guests at the resort, but isnt so huge you have a big trek to the ocean. Our unit (and most) included 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for free and you could reserve extra if desired. You can bring your own beach chairs, but they have to be behind (or to the sideof) the provided ones. You cannot bring your own umbrellas as they can be a safety issue due to wind. The only negative I can say about the resort is the workout room didnt have any cardio equipment. It had a ton of lifting options, but no treadmill or bike. We were lucky and we could run on the beach or the non busy sidewalks around the area, but if it had rained that would have been disappointing.Overall, everything about the resort was great and we are already thinking about returning in the future.

Amazing place and people!

Nice accommodations with a great view of the ocean and pool. We stayed in the building named St. Croix. It faces directly towards the ocean and pool. The condo was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a pull out couch. We also brought two queen sized air mattresses for a total of 12 people, which fit with plenty of space. The pool is huge! The facilities could use more umbrellas by the pool for the really hot days. The beach access is private and not too busy.

My Favorite Resort in Destin by far!!

Our niece was married on the party boat. All arrangements were handled professionally. The food was very tasty but could have been warmer. They were very busy with several private parties which resulted in long wait for dinner.

Do t come here if you want to have chairs on the beach the rental folks said fro t rows are for owners and the rich people not fun to bring grand kids to beach and be assigned 3rd row even though you get in the rental line at 7am and wait till it opens at 9 am won’t be back

Was slightly better than our expectations. Truly a beautiful condo that was obviously professionally put together. Kitchen lighting is less than great, but it works. The bathrooms and bedrooms are amazing. Large balcony that is comfortable with a nice view.

A great place to vacation. on the beach, across street from walmart, close to Ruths Chris Steakhouse. A great spot.

Perfect short notice trip to visit family from far away. An amazing property with everything we needed onsite and nearby. Spending time with family was precious but this property made it all the more memorable. Highly recommend and was I was extremely happy to get this property on such short notice.

The condo complex is lovely.The condo we stayed in was furnished nicely and kitchen was well appointed. The balcony was a nice size with entrances from living room and both bedrooms. Complex is near shopping and restaurants. But between road construction and traffic noise we couldnt hear the ocean and because the condo we stayed in was not ocean front we had limited view of the beach/ocean.Destin is a beautiful city with multiple resorts.

A resort experience on the Gulf without having to leave the States. Close to shopping and restaurants. The poolside cabana made daily trips to the beach easy and convenient for lunch.

This resort is amazing! There are so many words that I could use to tell you guys and the staff how fabulous and welcoming it is. The pools are beautiful , the lobbys fill you with joy whenever you walk in . Rooms, omg the rooms are so clean , beds are comfortable! ! I will definitely come back again . Thank you guys for providing an amazing vacation for us and also for welcoming us. It truly was a home away for home for us. Anyway before I rant on anymore you guys were amazing and we all cant wait to come back.:-).

Really nice place with a large pool and a hot tub. It’s close to a Walmart, a Dollar Store, and a Bealls. Easy path to the beach as well as a bar called “the Sand Bar” along the way. Pretty much every gate and door needs a FOB key scanned to be opened. All the rooms have a code to unlock the door, so overall there’s good security. Of course it’s not perfect but it’s definitely recommended.

We had a problem with our room, was addressed the minute we got there. No one ever came norcalled to fix the problem. We had to spend extramoney. So disappointing when you’re on vacation.

This resort is truly awesome! I really enjoyed how easy checking in was. I also enjoyed how easy checkout was with simply using a Dropbox for the room keys. My family enjoyed the ocean view from our balcony in Destin Florida. This resort is located by numerous restaurants and tourists sites. Nearby this resort youll find Dolphin Cruise tours, fishing charters and shopping stores!

Beautiful resort and pool. Easy check-in process, even though we arrived very late. Friendly staff when we arrived for confirmation of check-in and check-out. Convenient location to shopping and dining. Great value for this resort, we are already looking at going back!

Good selection

Best vacation ever. Oh my gosh I could go on and on and on about this place but we got to sleep in a three-bedroom condo me and my family members all had her own rooms. There was a Jacuzzi hot tub in my parents master bedroom. The resort is right on the beach, literally the only thing I had to worry about was if I was going to the pool or the beach that day. Its a relaxing the staff are amazing I would highly recommend going here for a vacation!

We havent had a whole family vacation in 8 years. We have a large group so rented the PH#1 in St. Lucia. Our stay here has been absolutely phenomenal. Excellent management, excellent Condo, not one bad thing to say. Cora is a HUGE asset to Compass Resorts. She has been friendly and caring towards us everytime we see her she asks if we are having a good time. Shes a FANTASTIC employee!! Kudos we hope to be back many times.

Amazing. Rooms were great, very secure too. Elevators take you right to your rooms. Wonderful large pool area. Short walk to beach and the views of the ocean from our balcony was phenomenal. Great place to vacation.

We visited for Ruths Chris restaurant. Amazing food... Best steak Ive ever had and Im VERY picky about steak to the point that I eat it so rarely bc most places cant cook a good steak. This place is the exception. One of the few that cooks perfect to order. Worth every penny although its definitely a rare night out for celebration kind of place due to the cost.

Gorgeous property. Everything is very nice and well kept. Only down side is they dont let you put your own umbrella or tent up on their beach property, but there are public areas on either side where you can set up

Beautiful condo with tons of amenities excellent. Underground parking. Very clean rooms well maintained grounds. Workout rooms were great. Location of beach is wonderful because right next door is a state park with pristine untouched beaches. Also within walking distance is one of the areas highly acclaimed restaurants The Back Porch. Would definitely go back and recommend highly.

This place has everything you need. It has a private beach, huge pool, hot tub, workout facility, basketball court, tennis courts, garage parking, a spa, and the list goes on. Ruths Chris and The Sand Bar are also on site.

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was provided in the unit that we stayed. Hopefully next time around the road construction is done and traffic flows smoother. It was hectic getting in and out of the place. Beach, pool, scenery are all beautiful. Will visit again.

Very nice condos with Gulf views.

I am not a massage connoisseur, but this was one of the most relaxing experiences of my life. The staff are all incredibly nice and observant. The massage I received was so very relaxing, it felt like she had three sets of hands. This was a great find.

Very large condo units that are very secure. Security gate screen all guests entering property and a key card is required to enter the main building. Grounds are well kept and lobbies are very warm and welcoming

My family and I got together for a long weekend and this worked out perfect for us. The Condo is close to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores and fun things to do. The condominium was clean with nice amenities. We really enjoyed the secured entrance from both the road and the beach along with the nice gas grills that we used two of the nights. The only dings I would give would be better directions for afterhours check in and a few more dish towels, we only had one. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.Dan & Patty T.
