Our first trip to Destin and the only think I can say is, we picked the right Hotel! We had a Loft on 4th floor, with a splendid view, the pool and the pool bar were really great, staff super friendly and enough parking spaces to park our 2 cars. I am pretty sure, we will come back! And bring friends!

Had to change my review because they tried to charge us over $1000 dollars in undisclosed fees. Twice what some of the other reviews claim that had the same issue. We even calculated it and the surprise fees were far less than a thousand, and we couldnt help but feel its because of our race that we were charged so unfairly. Beyond that, this is a nice place with luxurious amenities. There is an adults only pool here, perfect to get away from it all. Our room was top notch, beautifully designed and very clean. Very unhappy with the treatment around resolving those undisclosed fees, not sure if this is the kind of treatment we paid for. And we had paid a LOT to stay here before those fees.

We absolutely love it here! Our family has stayed here 3 times in the last year and everytime we have a blast. Our favorite lofts are L312 and L212. They are very spacious. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with all kitchen appliances, utensils, pots and pans for any cooking or baking needs. The pool and lazy river is excellent our family enjoys it everytime we have stayed here. The beach is just a short walk away and is so beautiful. The resort provides a peaceful stay. Many amenities and friendly staff always willing to help.

* * This should absolutely be a 5-star review. However, their practice of billing about $500 in undisclosed fees on top of resort charges knocks them down a star * *The Henderson property is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at the Lofts through the first week of August and the condos are furnished extremely well.Pool / Beach:Our two young kids loved the pool and lazy river area. It was never too crowded and was kept remarkably clean all week by a dedicated staff we saw working every morning before 7 AM. The splash pad area they have is also great for kids under 2.The beach is a short walk from the pool and is also very nice. Compared to other areas of Destin, the small private beach at the Henderson is amazing. Being able to get new, fresh towels at both the beach and the pool every day is extremely convenient.Fitness Rooms:I have travelled rather extensively to hotels across the US and Europe. The fitness and equipment offerings at the Henderson are among the best I have even seen. The main fitness room has ample and brand new cardio equipment. For example, they have 4 brand new Peloton spinning bikes that you can take live or on-demand classes through. The stairmaster, Jacobs Ladder, and posh treadmills with huge LCD displays all offer similar things. They get bonus points from me for offering a rowing machine, ample free weights (up to 60 pound dumbbells), and an olympic barbell rack for squats or bench press with 400 pounds of weight (this is located in the second fitness room on the bottom floor of the lofts).Dining:We stayed in the lofts so didnt eat too much at the restaurants. They all seemed quite nice. The Sprinkles ice cream place on the bottom floor of the hotel was a tremendous hit with the kids. Beachside bar and grill had a pretty good drink and food selection too.Activities:Our 5 year old loved Poppys Kids club and made a lot of crafts. The babysitting service they offer looks like it would have been a great way for the adults to enjoy dinner at the hotel without kids but its only for kids 4 years and up! The family smore night around the campfire and other activities were a nice touch as well.Staff:The staff was extremely polite and very accommodating throughout. They appear to pride themselves on going the extra mile for just about any request you might have.Overall:As I said, theres nothing about our stay at the Lofts that was anything less than 5-stars. Its not cheap, but luxury experiences like the ones offered here are never cheap. We paid about $3,500 (including the hidden fees but not taxes) to stay in the 1-bedroom condo for the week. There is no housekeeping for the Lofts unless you pay an additional $50-$75 per day charge to get it.As I said at the outset, my solitary gripe with the Lofts is that they charged me several fees that werent advertised or listed anywhere. Those fees were:Loft Housekeeping Fee: $140Loft Amenity Fee: $280 ($75 per day less a credit for the $35 daily resort fee we had already paid)Loft Limited Liability Fee: $75It pains me not to give this 5 stars but I have to wonder how many people will book a stay here not factoring in the fees that added about 17% to our total cost.Bottom line (TL;DR): You should absolutely stay here but count on adding about 17% to what you think youre going to pay.

What a wonderful place to bring your family! The rooms, restaurants, pools, lazy river, beach and other activities are amazing. From the check-in to the check out the staff is amazing. We will definitely be back in the future. It is a little pricy, but I guess you get what you pay for.

My family of 5 booked a 1 bedroom at the Henderson Lofts June 3-9th 2018. The bunk beds and high end master bedroom furniture in the pictures sold us. We paid $390 per night and $360 in taxes and fees. Total we paid $3030 to Expedia for 7 nights. My overall first impression of the resort was WOW! The main lobby and front entry is very grand and oozes luxury. When we got to the room my first impression was good. Obviously the hotel was very new. The closer I looked, it was obvious the room was not cleaned properly from the previous guests. I called the front desk and talked to the manager on duty. I was reassured it was cleaned and ready for us to be there. After looking further I called back to have new linens brought up to me. When housekeeping came in, she confirmed we should not have been in the room the way it was. The manager on duty apologized and gave us an amazing upgrade to a 2 bedroom for the 6 out of 7 of our nights! We had to move back to the 1 bedroom for our last night which was a little frustrating. I looked past it because the room was so much bigger and they gave us a $400 credit for the hassle of moving. My biggest would be the extra fees when checking out. There was a 1 time $185 “departure housekeeping fee”, $75 “Loft administration fee”, $40 PER DAY “Loft amenity fee”, and taxes on all these items. There was over $500 in fees I was not expecting! Overall the resort is top knotch quality, but has some kinks to work out because it is so new.

The pool was nice and the beach was nice as well. The services were very bad. Food and drinks were terrible. Elena at the bar upstairs was good and also Mike at the bar located next to the pool, but he was limited on mixing the drinks. he could do only what the sort offered him. There is a bar (in the lobby) that was suppose to stay open until midnight. I went to the bar at around 11:00 and I was told that they just closed, but they could serve me some water. Nice! Who will go to a bar at 11:00 to have water with ice and probably a lemon? The room we had was a loft on the second floor facing a street. I did not mind the street, but I had no idea that the street is a major street (many cars, motorcycles etc). The lobby is nicely decorated and I was impressed with that when I walked in, but after I was there for a few days I realized the mistake that I made. Honestly, I left earlier! I am not exaggerating at all if I say that you can get a better vacation in Cancun at a 3* resort than here. And if you want a clean room, get your own broom! They will not clean your room unless you pay $50.00 and $25.00 every day after! Even Motel 6 provides this basic service. If you do not pay for the room to be cleaned, you have great chances to run out of toilet tissue. So, have a broom and extra toilet tissue with you! You may need them more than you need them at home! Big surprise for a 5* family resort!

The Henderson Lofts & resort are in a wonderful quiet location at the end of Old Scenic 98. Other than the Lofts not being ready for us to stay in because of finishing construction we had a wonderful time relaxing on spring break as a family. The staff were wonderful and made adjustments for our condo not being ready. The beach AMAZING! Great location right off of the bridge, near grocery store and everything you could need. Many fun activities to do both at the resort and on the beach. We will be back for another stay. Definitely a 5️ place!

We loved our two bedroom condo overlooking the pool. Amenities are super with a fabulous spa in the hotel that has a Himalayan salt room, eucalyptus steam room, and my Swedish massage was one of the best I have had.The bar called Sea Level at the pool had fun frozen drinks and the family pool has a lazy river where the is adult pool has a jacuzzi. The amazing private beach with white sand and crystal clear water is right next to a state park providing a mile of quite and beautiful beach park. My friend went bird watching in the park and spotted many birds she had yet to see on her walk. Most definitely will go back!

This place is amazing. We have two kids and keeping them busy is tough. They spend most of the time at the pool or the beach, but theres also so much more to do. The Henderson does a great job with all the activities. Well be back for sure!

This visit was great, the gulf is right there and is a very easy walk, they have a colorful lazy river with a pool in connection. They also have a separate pool for adults, the rooms are nice, some with an ocean view. The hotel has restaurants around it which include Panera bread and longhorns steakhouse along with a Publix across the street. This hotel is also very new, it opened a year and a half ago. And all the people are really nice.

The Henderson Lofts are brand new, however, they had just been freshly painted and the smell was overwhelming! It also was not clear that there is not daily housekeeping service, unless you pay an extra charge. Our unit slept 4, but only came with 2 towels! When we asked the front desk from more towels, they said they did not handle requests for the Lofts. Fortunately the pool and beach were beautiful and had plenty of towels, so we just took extra everyday! The beach is beautiful, private and the resort fee includes the use of kayaks and paddle boards. The pool area is very nice too, with a small lazy river. These amenities made us tolerate the smell! Hopefully that problem will be fixed with time.

The condo we stayed in was brand new. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable overall. My only criticism is that there wasn’t much room in the bedroom because the bed took up 80% of the available space. We loved the property though and will definitely go back. The kids in our group especially loved the pool and lazy river. The staff was excellent.

My family and I loved our vacation. Our two bedroom condo was beautiful. We had a great view from every window. The pool was fantastic and the lazy river was so relaxing. I was a little disappointed when I did not find a handicap access to the beach. We had a disabled veteran and a senior citizen in our group so beach time was somewhat difficult. That aside, our stay was amazing and we plan to return.

If you booked the Lofts, it still may not be ready! From my experience, I booked the 2 bedroom loft with the Emerald Coast Preserve Room Condo through the hotel’s website. I was given a one bedroom loft with a view of the pool. I was not told before I arrived or even when I arrived that they did not have a 2 bedroom loft available. I was given a one bedroom loft and was not made aware of the change until I walked into the room to discover it on my own. Lofts are still being worked on and moved in to, painting is still taking place, and the exercise room is currently a storage unit with furniture. Before you arrive and your high expectations are ruined, call Ebony to ensure that your vacation experience is going to meet what you paid for.

Initially , check in was slow and to apologize for delay, gave us 2 free drink coupons. Floor upon arrival was dirty and dusty and they sent someone to clean it. Not only did they take care of floors , but refreshed the room as well. The place is absolutely beautiful and spacious and we hope to stay here again soon!
