We enjoyed our stay. The unit 404 looks the same as advertise. The kitchen was stocked. The view was amazing. The beach was just steps away. The front row chairs on the beach are reservation. You have to sit behind those chairs.The staff cleaned the outside area really well. We used the grill to have steak dinner.The only complaint was the funny smell in the bathrooms other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit again

Unit we stayed in was comfortable and as advertised. We were not thrilled with being confronted by their chair rental vendor trying to keep us behind his rental chairs when we had no umbrella, no canopy, and not even a towel, just 2 older people with their butts in the sand and toes in the water (yes at the water line). He threatened us, which was going too far. So we flagged down the enforcement lady that happened by on the white UTV, and she told us we werent breaking any rules and they dont enforce any private property house rules with regard to the beach.When you stay beach front, you want to use the beach! Wont come back under this type of BS, I dont come to the beach to get harassed by rental people. I understand this is the norm for Destin now based on Google searches.

Great place, very roomy condos with large patios facing the beach with great views. It has a heated pool. The beach has lots of room. All common areas are kept very clean. Staff has been very pleasant and accommodating. Outdoor showers to clean sand and saltwater off are very handy. No trash anywhere, even the beach is kept very tidy. Well thought out and well maintained.

This was our first time here at Breakers East. Absolutely one of the best locations in Destin.. you are steps away the the beach. The condos are very spacious. Our unit 1204 needed quite a bit of updating. I don’t like to complain about things, but for the money you pay for theses places you would expect them to have most of the things you need without having to supply them yourself. I will start with the kitchen, definitely not stocked properly, half of the utensil had fallen out of the drawers, there were quite a few missing altogether, no pot holders, and one kitchen towel. The microwave is not high enough over the stove to vent out, or to operate the stove properly.The countertop is chipped up and definitely needs replaced. The smoke detector kept chirping, finally called maintenance to change the battery. This should be a priority check, before renting.Walking into the unit, the lights are to low, my husband hit his head a few times. Not a problem for me though. There is no light over the dining area. And many light switches to nothing.?. Again the lighting was very poor throughout the unit.The carpet is very dirty and needs replaced. But after trying to operate both vacuum cleaners I could see why. I had to unclog both vacuums and replace the filters. I can see why the carpets were so dirty.I also had to defrost the wine cooler because it was totally iced up and not working. Also had to clean the condenser for the under counter ice maker. Again clogged completely. I know the owners pay for cleaning these units, but theydon’t take care of the maintenance of appliances..As for coming back to Breakers East, I would highly recommend it. The staff here is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and very attentive to the residents, and the building. I would research each unit, because a majority of them have been nicely updated.

Wonderfully maintain and updated condos oh, right on the beach. White sand and Emerald Coast, we get back every chance we get. Dont miss this tiny little pleasure

Booking the exact room as we did last year. Everything that you will need is provided. Location with regards to the beach with a gate, a heated pool, grills, nearby attractions and resteraunts makes this place ideal for anyone wanting to do less traveling and more vacationing. I rated it four stars instead of 5 because it could stand to be renovated. Very clean!

Condo is a little dated but clean. Beach is wonderful! Pool is really nice, good size and really warm. It is a heated outdoor pool. Lots of beach area, there is chair, paddle board, kayak rentals along with shaved ice sold on the beach. If the rooms were more up to date I would give it 5 stars.

Very nice condos! Everyday condo is different based on the owner. Easy access to the beach with reserved chairs and umbrellas. Nice pool with grill area. No long waits at the elevators.

Awesome view! Condo was great! BUT they had 2 elevators & 1 was out of order. Sooooo I guess I should be happy I wasnt on the 12th floor. I was on the 4th floor & it took 45 mins to wait for the elevator during check out. I wouldve taken the stairs like the other 2 days but I had ALL my luggage.

The place has a great View the unit in which my sister stayed could have use some updating. I believe the building was built in the 1980s but great location and with the necessary updates I believe it would be very very nice to stay. Although I would not recommend it for young children because of height of the railing on all the balconies Im sure they would never pass code now and someone if they were to slip could easily fall off the balcony is little or no effort my sister and her husband had a look at some of the other condos and compared to where they stayed they were all updated and very very nice

Ive been here multiple times and love it! Its an easy walk to the beach, dining and shopping. Theres a pool on site. The rooms are spacious but not huge. Many scenic destinations are a short drive away. The emerald coast is worth the trip.

Very nice, well equipped condo, quiet- even with quite a few children around (we had three). Heated pool great for swimming even when air was cool. Snowy white beach sand and dolphins and pelicans frequently spotted!

We loved everything about Breakers East. Location is centrally close to everything. It is gated so we felt safe. The room we had was so beautiful and spotless, really like staying in a very learge apartment. Everything worked great. We didnt have any problems the whole stay. The beach is beautiful and clean with gated access. The pool is clean and decent sized. TVs in every room. It has been remodeled and is very nice. The kitchen had plenty of pans, dishes and utensils for cooking and eating in. We will absolutely stay here again.

Condo had all the comforts of home with beach and sugar white sands and emerald water crystal clear! two bedrooms separate bathrooms. tvs in bedrooms and lroom. Very large counter tops. Good size kitchen. washer and dryer. good size balcony with table and chairs. heated swimming pool. tennis courts. only thing disappointed in was NO workout room.

Best spring break so far. This property is beautiful. Would highly recommend it.

First time here , and it was by far the best experience ! Ocean view pool access and easy walk just outside the building to the beach .

This is an older building on the 98 strip but the rooms are spacious and the balconies directly face the Gulf and are big enough to accommodate a table to eat outside. I wish the pool were bigger but the view cannot be beat (no matter which floor youre on). The kitchens are very nicely sized and well equipped and its a life saver to have a full-sized washer and dryer in each unit. Go in the winter when you can watch the sun rise and set over the Gulf from the comfort of your balcony.

Weve stated breakers East twice now and have enjoyed our visits. It is worth pointing out that many of the units for rent at breakers East have not been updated while others have been fully renovated. Somehow they rent for the same price whether the interiors are original eighties style or If they have been updated with flat screen T vs, walk in showers, granite counters etc.

Wonderful stay! The beach was not overcrowded, first row seating was easy to obtain. Will definitely go back. Condominium was perfectly sized for a family of 4.

Rented for 3 nights. When making reservations, we inquired about RV parking, since this would be our only vehicle during our stay and were told there would be no issues. We own a 26’ RV which barely occupies 2 spaces, in which we were told we were allotted. Ashley, with Southern Realty Rentals at Breakers East, calls us and threatens to have the RV towed if not removed by the next day at 9am. We would be leaving by then anyway. I would understand if there were only a few spaces available and there was only one space per rental during peak season, but I counted about 10 vehicles, including ours and about 70 open spaces. The condo was in poor repair. Very disappointed, especially since we only chose this condo based on RV parking. We usually stay at better quality places, but just needed RV parking this trip. Never Again!!!

Nice on the beach condos. On the main drag of destin right off Hwy 98.Would definitely recommend for couples or families. Unbeatable beach views from the balcony. Friendly staff. Every staple restaurant of destin is within around 5 miles.

This is a gem of a building in the heart of Destin. The units and the balconies are huge. The only negative, which could be a positive, is that the balcony railings are short, if you have rambunctious, young children you may worry about them being out there. If you are just sitting on the balcony you do get a better, less obstructed view of the gulf.

Unit 803 was very nice. Updated & beautiful views. Check out at 9 is a bit early. Also need to put in gas grills.

Rooms were huge and great for my family. Beach was close and even during peak week there was plenty of room. Theyre was some mechanical trouble with our door where we were locked out but otherwise a perfect stay.

Great view, clean, kitchen was fully furnished and great, the rooms were awesome. Im used to staying in hotels weekly for work so to say here for vacation was a great change of pace for away from home lodging

Ive been staying at Breakers East Unit 901 for over 20 years. Some units have been updated and others, well, not so much. 901 was updated the spring of 2018 and its beautiful! Very beachy decor throughout! I love that its an end unit so there is an ocean view from the kitchen window, as well as from the family room and master bedroom. The balcony for each unit is one of the longest in Destin. This unit has extra touches that make it so special. There is an under the counter ice machine with small cubes that fit in bottles. Plus, we never ran out of ice and could fill up our cooler before going to the beach daily. The owner keeps a large supply of books and dvds for guests enjoyment. The kitchen is overly stocked. I found anything I needed, including toddler dishware. There are 3 baby gates that Ive taken advantage of when bringing my own toddlers and now grandbabies to keep toddlers off the balcony while still enjoying the ocean air by keeping balcony doors open! I cant wait to go back next year! I always cry when crossing the Mid Bay Bridge on my way home!

Most times rooms are great but everything seems to be broken in this room. Good place to stay though.

Breakers East is right on the beach, and the units are huge! Balconies are 30 long and give great views of the gulf and activities below (pool, dune walkover, grilling area, etc.), especially from the lower floors. Location is excellent. We first stayed here in 2002 and ended up buying a unit!
