Me and my family loved it here Sterling Shores 618 was fabulous if there was something we forgot it was in the condo!! We will return.

Good pools, family friendly, has daily bar/cafe, next to The Back Porch, includes umbrella service, good location in Destin to everything.

Our condo was beautiful, bigger than our first house. Close to beautiful beach but also has pools on the premises.

Great location, great pools walking distance to the beach and to shopping, if one is so inclined to so. I prefer beach activities.Wonderful rental.

Stayed in 305. Problems from the beginning with a broken refrigerator that was never fixed. Mattress was older and left us in pain in the mornings. Left early when Hurricane Sally knocked out the power and the back up generator wouldnt work. Although the property was flooding, power out, elevator inoperable, pools closed and cold shower in the morning, management wouldnt issue a refund. I wont get into the quality of housekeeping or hospitality of management. May consider a return visit if things change there.

We LOVED IT ! I wish we could go back. It was so relaxing listening to the waves all the way from my balcony at night time. The pool was a lot of fun, the kids loved it !! We love that the grills were all a part of our stay at no additional price and our unit was beautiful. Very pleased and definitely recommend it.

My family & I loved our resort. The view was great & the resort was spacious. I loved the wall decor also. The couches need to be thoroughly cleaned though. There were crumbs from previous stays. The fitness room was way smaller than I expected but I still made it work.

Enjoyed our stay. Glad to have two pools just wish they heated one after the rains cause it was cold. Overall each condo is different. Cooked our meals for the week in the kitchen and the view was beautiful. If your from Florida this coast is a must to see cause if the gorgeous white crystal sand with ZERO shells just amazed us. Location is near many shops & restaurants. Never saw the food shack open or any hours for it thats part of the condo next too far pool. If you are handicap you want to be sure your condo has a walk in shower cause ours had a jacuzzi tub too high for elders to step in to even shower. Parking garage is great to keep your car cool. Everything is walking distance & a publix you can drive too 5 mins away.

My husband and I did a quick away well decided to just drive to Destin FL made last minute reservation at Sterling shores #617 this place was so nice and cozy a home away from home we were very relaxed ️ nice clean quiet

This was an excellent choice for us. We had three couples and a small child. The weather was great and the rain was short lived. The condo was well furnished with about every thing you wiuld need. They had a great spot on the beach and the cost for chairs and.umbrellas was not horrible.the beds were comfortable and the sofas and chairs were very sturdy. The pools were very well maintained and the walkways to the beach were swept daily. I would definitely recommend this resort to my friends.

4.5 stars: Weve had no issues the last two years weve stayed here. Its right on the beach so the walk to the beach is minimal. The unit we stayed in was clean as well. Ive seen some of the other complaints, and they just sound uppity. I will say though, I think it has been better this year. My only complaint is that check in was at 4, but we didnt get to check in until 4:45, and the kids were pretty impatient. Id recommend staying here.

Love the view. Our condo owner is great to work with and our unit is in great shape, clean, just like being home. Owner responds promptly to any issues we have. Nice and quite when we go and never crowded. I would recommend the unit we rent to anyone looking for a quite, relaxing place to vacation.

Loved our stay. Looking forward to coming back. Condo was a nice size & clean. The view from our room was beautiful. Pools were nice. Lauren helped us transfer our reservation from Splash in PCB. She was so friendly & answered all of the questions I had. Jeremy was very helpful at checkin & gave us great recommendations for places to try during our stay.

A bit pricey and the first day here during check in Was a little bit of a pain in the butt had to wait almost a hour to get into are room however we read the reviews and were prepared for that. The unit was nice had to clean a few things up nothing major pools were great and nice view of the ocean. And nice beach access. Overall I am giving it a 5 star only because compared to some of the other units near by this one is much better

Rented this from Thursday to Saturday n this place has the potential to have 5 stars but the decor is old n dark. Both the master n second bedroom’s bed creaked n made noises. The best assets were the location, view n pool.I don’t think I would rebook again cuz the price really didn’t fit the whole experience.

Rooms are spacious. Grounds are clean. All rooms face the Gulf and the beautiful swimming pool.

Rented a 3/2 condo for the week. Everything has been awesome. Traffic to get in from the mainland was rough, but after arriving all has been smooth. Bring cash to rent umbrella/chair beach set ups or bring your own but arrive early for limited self set up space. Pool is big and wasnt too crowded. Great ocean view from our balcony.

I enjoyed the weather, the beach ,and the view from the 10th floor is spectacular. The decor is nice. The floor is hardwood. My grandson was playing , rolling his trucks on the floor. He had on a light grey pants, and when he stood up, both knees were very dark the hardwood floor was dirty. The wood is dark, so management can cut corners, when it comes to cleaning, but thats not the right thing to do, when you have to pay a nice piece of change to stay in a halfway decent vacation rental. I was in Sandestin at resort last year. Kudos to Sandestin. Its prices are higher. Conclusion, mission accomplished. I got rest, and the view, amazing.

This was our first time staying at Sterling, my first time in Destin.This was a great condo! We loved it as did the kids. The pool is great, just a short walk from the beach and there is lots to do around the area. Weve added Sterling Shores to our return list for future visits.The only issue was with the TV in the master bedroom. The sound was not very good.We spent time snorkeling and there was lots of marine life (Fish, crabs, etc).The water is crystal clear and the sandbars made it much more kid friendly.We ate at the Donut Hole and the Pancakery for breakfast. Both great places.

Stayed at 518. Great view great unit. Couldnt ask for more. Only gripe is needs new dryer as it needs 2 cycles to dry throughly. Other then that... Its pretty nice

Stayed in penthouse. First day they kick my 16 yrs old daugther and her friend off there partition part of the beach because I was not there to chaperone them. Prior to the day we were departing. I Let front desk know we would be leaving early in am. Asked what I should do with wrist bands that allow access to pool and beach chairs. I asked if I should leave them in the unit.They ask that I drop them in key box at front door. I followed their directionns,about 2 hours into our drive home. I received a call from a rude individual at front desk asking where our wrist bands were. I explained to him what front desk had ask me to do the previous day. He said he checked and they were not there. I asked him if he checked a he said someone else did. I suggested that he check the box himself. If they were not their, that he then check with whoever opened the box. He was rude and suggested I should have put them in a envelope. I told him no one provided an envelope. We have stay there 4 times over the last 6 years or should I say we did. Not anymore. Destin has become another overpopulated, overpriced tourist trap. I suggest you give Pensacola a try. The Portofino resort on Pensacola beach is awesome. ***No wrist bands required***

Best Vacation Ever!!!

Very nice resort the amenities are nice however some of the units are outdated I may need new carpeting or painting. But the universe are laid out nice with two bathrooms and balconies to oversee the pool and water. The staff is very friendly and a atentative to your needs.

We stayed here last year and it was amazing!! We booked for this summer expecting the same.. little to say Im very disappointed.. our units washer and dryer didnt work..but they didnt let us know that until I went to use it and water leaked all over the floor.. they didnt come clean it up.. and just told me not to use it.. With 6 kids and beach and swimming that was a huge inconvenience!!! Then when I asked for clean towels and bedding because I couldnt wash them they acted like they couldnt but then brought only towels.. out bedding had a big burn in it and the jets on our tub didnt work.. very disappointed!!:(

Loved it there! Our condo was was the best. The only problem is that there was so much construction going on with the roads there. What a mess, it made it hard to get somewhere!

Pretty good experience. Our room wasnt the best... but it was the cheapest room available..you get what you pay for lol. Otherwise it was great. We plan to stay again.

We booked a 3 br 2 ba condo for 7 adults & 2 kids. Overall, it worked out great. We brought our own food & utilized the full kitchen, wch saved us a lot of money. The den & dining area had plenty of space for the kids to run & play. Having a washer & dryer was a plus as well. There were a couple of small things that werent deal breakers, but.... 1. In our condo, the master room was huge w balcony access & own bathroom, the 2nd was average w access to a bathroom, the 3rd was very small w very little room on the side & in front of the bed & shared the bathroom across the hall w 2nd bedroom. Some of the kitchen utensils had small rust spots on them. If youre finicky about stuff like that, bring your own. The patio furniture had rust in different areas. I felt like, for what we paid, they could maintain those things a little better to give their customers an Excellent stay, rather than just Good or Great. Other than that, they maintain the pool and grounds well, have a free movie DVD machine, the beach is 100 ft from when you walk out the door & the restaurant the Back Porch (which is 50 ft from your patio) has great seafood {a little pricey & 1.5 hr wait during dinner hours, but was well worth it}. I would stay there again. Hope this helps

This was our first time in Destin. The location of Resort was excellent, walking distance to beach, restaurant, and ample parking. The condo we stayed in was better than I expected with two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and full kitchen. The service at the front desk was average. They seemed to be troubled by me asking a few questions about trash collection and extra towels.

Overall the resort is really nice. It is located close to everything. The grounds were well kept. The room was really well equipped and the view of the ocean was really great. The only problem was apparently since we booked trough this travel site their computer system did not recognize when we were checking out. So every morning we had maint. Room service and hotel personnel thinking we were checking out. Little annoying. But nbd.

Very nice condo and good location, has two resturants beside it and although it does not sit directly on the beach, you basically just walk across a driveway to get to it. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again, could use some updating though. The rooms are older and bathrooms could use a re-do. But other than that everything was good!

This is one of the most beautiful resort places in Destin. Loved everything about this place !

It would have been a perfect vacation with a nice, clean and comfortable room with a wonderful view if we had not been locked out of the room for almost 3 hours. The electronic door lock stopped working and I made at least 5 phone calls to the numbers listed in the empty lobby door. The only number where they answered kept telling me that they were calling the concierge service in charge during the non-office hours and after 2 hours they said they were calling the manager, who never answered. They never answered the phones and the concierge finally got to open the lobby by 8 pm, 2 hours and 45 minutes after my first phone call.

This is not really a hotel, but a condominium building that has rooms for rent. When we arrived at the resort, there was a gated entry, but we were not given the code to enter. After 3 or 4 phone calls, we found someone who gave us the code to enter. The location is really nice and close to the beach, however there are no services or amenities provided. We stayed for 4 days and there were 4 of us, but there was a roll and half of toilet paper in the room and a mini bottle of shampoo.

Perfect location, hot pool, grills, clean!

Definitely a place you will want to return to. We have been visiting here for several years, and always come back. The general manager, Michael Belba, runs a tight ship, and the location and amenities for the price, can not be beat!

Very inattentive, no staff at the pool, beach side bar and grill closed. My bill was almost doubled by resort fees and taxes. Showed on bookings as $575, then changed to $950 when I choose room. Nice room but sparten, no hair dryer, no coffee for the coffee maker. Front desk closed from 5pm to 9am, everything​ else very nice

Its too bad I cant rate them any lower than 1-star. After planning a wedding vacation with them and working out all of the details with them well in advance, they fell through on their promises because apparently they didnt have the authority to make the promises they did. I highly recommend steering clear of planning to do anything on their private portion of the beach, as they will fall through on their promises regarding it.

The fact that we paid 6 months in advance for a 3 bedroom condo and was stuck in a 2 bedroom was very disappointing. Was only informed of the problem as I was trying to check in. My son and granddaughter slept on a broken sofa bed. He now is suffering with his back because of it. When it came time to get a refund that was an even bigger joke. I was told a 2 bedroom was the same price as a 3 bedroom. That was not the case when I made my reservations. We were very very disappointed.

Common areas were nice, but our 2 bedroom was very outdated and old. Flooring was peeling up, cabinets were so cheap and felt like they could fall off the wall. When you use a third party they give you just any room they have, so you dont have a chance to see it. The bedspreads were so faded and old and looked worn out.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING STERLING SHORES RENTAL OR OWNERSHIP.....One Word for anyone that is considering staying at Sterling Shores in Destin. NO......The buildings maintenance and management is very concerning for potential clients. I was trapped in one of the two of three functioning elevators. More concerning was that the safety features of this elevator were non functioning. The alarm button not working, the fireman button not working, the intercom was broken, the fan and ventilation system non functioning, cell phone reception in a concrete shaft not available. Three ladies and myself stuck, anxiety was high, temperature was unbearable, and there was no air. Finally someone on another floor pushed the button for the elevator and we moved and the door opened on their floor. We were soaked with sweat and minutes from having no air to breathe. I later learned that at least three other families had been trapped that same day and one the night before as well. One lady had been trapped for 25 minutes at high noon and with two of her children, one a special needs child. I reported this to management and the attitude was totally unacceptable and their was no compassion and no reason given for all the safety features being out of working order, apparently for some time. Allowing several guests to be traumatized, and their lives and well being put in jeopardy is beyond belief. The on site manager was a new employee (one month) on the job and simply dismissed these incidents as minor, and said that she was assured by upper management and their attorneys that her staff and herself had acted properly and said that she was through with the situation. Unbelievable.....Needless to say we warned all the other guests we ran into to stay off the elevators. If this would have occurred at night, there would have been no one to push for an elevator and save the life of a trapped person.While myself and the other families that were trapped understand that an elevator can break. There is no excuse for all the safety features and backup technology to be broken prior to this incident. Bad management causes someone to pause and wonder what else is not being addressed at Sterling Shores, Destin Florida. One Word NO........There are allot of nice properties near and around this property that you would be better off staying at. The reason I gave one star is because I have to give a star in order for this to post, this property and staff deserve 0 stars. By the way I am a former owner of a unit at Sterling Shores (2003). Sad to see what was a great property to wind up in such a dismal condition and such poor management. To this date no explanation or remorse at the seriousness of our experience from Sterling Shores management. I will post this note as often as I can in an effort to voice my concern for future guests well being. And I am sure the other victims will do the same.

Great resort with very convenient access to their private beach. Pools were also great and were very well maintained.

Our condo rental was great, everything was clean and very spacious for our group of 11.

We had a very relaxing fun time. As this was my wifes first visit to Florida, she throughly enjoyed it and wants to look at real estate.

Sterling Shores condo was very nicely furnished and large. Refrigerator leaked onto shelves soaking contents. Location overlooked a busy restaurant which was between the hotel property and the beach. Very noisy. Also, property sits right in the flight path from the airport so it was extremely loud when flights took off and landed.

Very disappointing, staff was rude when we were trying to check in. The condo that we got was super old and not enogh room for clothes in a very small dresser.

They have great resorts with lots of ammeniti. Well worth it
