I love the aesthetic of this hotel. My husband comes down here for biz and I always tag along. The water views are nice and The Henderson Park is just across the balcony in view. It is a comfortable king room and the staff is very welcoming.Alex, in the Horizon Bar eatery always remembers us and has a great talent for easy conversation.

Amazing! Great place for families. Dog friendly. We brought our black lab and had a great experience. They have a dedicated dog walk area. Check- in took a little longer than we would like, especially with two toddlers and a dog. Pool area is perfect for families. Yummy adult beverages and food. Breakfast room service delicious. The kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes. I enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel. Beds are super comfy. Service is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Excellent Resort with outstanding service. We stayed with the kids in one of the condos. Beach access just on the other side of the street.Service at the pool and the beach are extraordinary good.The massage at their spa was super relaxing. Spa is nice as well.We enjoyed a yoga class at the beach.The workout was good in the two gyms.There is nothing what we missed. They provided perfect vacation memories.Thanks you! We will come back and highly recommend to visit the Henderson.

We had a great stay at the Henderson in October 2020. Although it was only for one night, we got a good feel for the hospitality they offer. Every employee from valet, concierge, bell hop, and restaurant employees were extremely friendly. The room was spacious and clean and the bed and pillows were amazing. The pool was very nice as well. Would definitely return.

We went here for Thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The view from the room was incredible. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The family pool area was very clean and well maintained. There were plenty of places to sit. The staff were excellent. Everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond. The Thanksgiving week events were all done very well. Our daughter loved the cookie decorating and the smores. We had the best time here and look forward to visiting again in the future.

I only say 4 stars because there was construction going on right next door and it did ruin the view a lot. ALSO things are very pricey all around and very little food/water included.Still, this place is incredibly beautiful and fancy. The staff make you feel like royalty! Thank you so much! We stayed in a queen bed room and had no complaints with our room.The nearby pools are perfectly clean and refreshing. We did walk to the beach every day as well which is very close nearby. We had a wonderful anniversary stay!

Stayed with the resort for our first anniversary. The resort offers variety of activities you can enjoy within and proximities of the resort. The beach access is within walking distance which was very convenient. However, dine in choice is limited, without much diversity. Food was fantastic at primrose as well as great service. Everyone at the resort was welcoming and easy to talk to, very pleasant. I would come again! Great experience comes with high price.

A wonderful resort that is tastefully designed, and very close to the private beach. We stayed at the loft - the bed was comfortable, there was an abundance of quality appliances. Every staff member I spoke to was very friendly and they also did everything to help park our large vehicle. Mask wearing is only required in the elevator and hallways, but it was more than a couple of times that we ran into some guests who did not wear a mask in these areas. I understand that this can be a delicate issue, but I hope the hotel can reinforce these rules so that all guests can feel like being treated fairly in terms of our health and safety. It almost made me feel like the resort preferred to cater to a specific clientele who do not believe in masks. Also, I believe a contracted electrician walked right by us without a mask (all other staff wore masks), didnt appear to be friendly either. Taking off one star for not feeling the utmost safety at the resort. We would love to return if these measures are enforced.

If you are looking for an adult oriented location to get away to, this place is awesome and should be on you list to consider. They even let you bring your fur babies. They have spacious rooms with refrigerators, casual bar and upscale restaurant on the premises. One adult pool and another extra large pool complete with a lazy river. The complex borders a state park, so you dont feel confined. Big plus is you get free beach chairs with your room and towels. Just show up and they take care of the rest. Well worth the money.

AMAZING hidden gem in Destin. I wish I could give it 100 stars. The service is warm and friendly. Special shout out to Tony at the front reception. He made note that we were celebrating our first anniversary. We loved the romantic sunset from the balcony.The restaurants are perfect and there is no reason to go off property. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!! The Spa is fabulous. Relaxing facial and massage.We loved a glass of wine by the firepit.Cant wait to return next fall.

My husband took me for birthday weekend. My husband is 6’7 I’m 5’11. Claw foot tub too small (no bath together) the bath scale was broken. Our room faced the front of Resort (construction going on). No ocean view. I made reservation. 1 year prior.Ice machine broke. Had to go to another floor . Too expensive for all of the above. We should have stayed at Wyndham

Our stay was without a doubt one of the most memorable and enjoyable anniversary weekends my wife and i have ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our weekend there last weekend. From the kind and courteous staff, to the five star accomodations and ammenities, it was awesome. My wife and I cant wait to go back!

After attending many events at The Henderson Beach Resort I have to say the food that they serve is terrible. I would expect so much more from a place like this. The Chef (if you can call him/her that) lacks any skill as reflected in horrid food he/she prepares. Seriously Henderson do better.

Was an amazing vacation. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and tasteful. The staff is great, was so nice to “see” the regular staff (everyone had face masks). Highly recommend a room with a Gulf view. Highly recommend the lazy river pool - incredibly family friendly!!Great location- this was a perfect home base. We intended not to leave the property, but ended up having such a fun time riding bikes, grabbing ice cream and waterfront lunch from the many restaurants, and driving pretty much the expanse of 30A.Only downside - we were there for a week and by day 2 it felt like we had exhausted the resort menu. Our family is diverse in what we eat and the offerings while tasty were pretty limited (100% yes to the cauliflower and prawns). Maybe this is a scaled back Covid menu? Didn’t ask.Also daily yoga was great. Some instructors are better than others and I would NOT recommend doing it on the beach.Overall, a 5 out of 5 and I can’t wait to be back!

Great amenities, staff is five star, and plenty of things to do within the resort and within the immediate vicinity. Resort is also on point with COVID precautions and measures taken including all staff wearing masks at all times. Overall amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

Great resort. The room was fantastic. I had a king overlooking the gulf. The beds were comfy. The room was spacious. Honestly one of the best rooms I have ever had.I stayed in December so only got to use the hot tub, but the pool looked nice! The hot tub was fantastic, perfect temperature.The spa was also fantastic. I had a massage and spent a couple hours in the sauna/hot tub/salt room. Very relaxing. The staff was good.Why four stars and not five? Food and beverage. While the staff was great. The options and quality of the food was lacking. Especially for how expensive it was. Ended up leaving the property after two days to eat. The Whole Foods Market had better food. Additionally the housekeeping was okay. Very inconsistent.

Pools are beautiful too. Bike rentals were quick and easy to enjoy the town. Overall this is the place to stay.

This Hotel, Inn and grounds are simply beautiful. The pools, 3, are well maintained and separated - adult pool, family pool and a lazy river style pool. There is a nice, groomed area for dog walking, and areas for other activities. Rooms are nicely laid out, and comfortable

If you are on the fence wether to book here or not then take my advice and do a hard pass. You would think a 4 star hotel would be coordinated enough to have guests rooms ready by 4pm check-in, not this place!! Had to wait until 5:30pm for my room to be available, and there were several other guests also waiting. That was just the start to a horrible stay. They tried to justify the extra wait time by saying they had to disinfect the rooms after the cleaning and then have them inspected by a manager. Then why was the room still so dirty?They dont allow your own food or drinks at the pool nor the private beach, since they want to rip you off with their insane food and drink prices. I wouldnt mind this if the service wasnt so terrible. The waiters had a horrible attitude, and were forgetful.The self parking is $15 a day and down a hill so have fun hiking. Thats if you can find parking, at night it is always full. Also the beach is about a 10 minute walk, lots of steps, and no ramp available. The room was small, outdated and had no privacy for the bathroom. You can hear everything as the door has slats in it.They posted signs at places were they said masks are mandatory for guests however they do not enforce this. Id say 75% of the guests did not wear masks, and the staff wouldnt tell them anything.

We were here three days wasn’t bad but to many kids,you have to pay 45 dollars a day to use chairs on beach,restaurant is average. Service was awsome very friendly and kind people but don’t think we would come back pool way to busy both pools. If you have children great place

We had a wonderful stay. Check in was quick and informative. We got a room with a view of the pool area and some slither of beach view between the cracks of the buildings.There is valet and a small gate self parking lot, fees do apply but you do have in-and-out privileges. Our room was clean and beautifully set up. They had 3 options for housecleaning and we opted for only daily trash and towel exchange. Complimentary crib was provided upon request and delivered to our room. They also included Infant shampoo and lotion toiletry, which was super nice and unexpected. I did bring our own bedsheet for the crib, which I applied over their sheet.We had room service one day which was very timely and decent. We also had pool side service dining for lunch on 2 occasions. It did take some effort in locating a server. We rented chairs for the beach and enjoyed the private beach access. Felt safe and didnt feel overlapped as some public beaches.Their Sprinkle shop that served Starbucks, ice cream, and sandwiches was a hit for our family. Awesomely brewed and quick service coffee. Kids enjoyed the ice cream. Hubs loved their sandwiches and breakfast options.Overall we had a great vacation during these unpredictable times. We did take the necessary precautions but also enjoyed ourselves the best we could. The hotel was very accommodating and we wild recommended others to stay here as a resort/ hotel accommodation.

My new husband and I stayed here this past week for our honeymoon. I have to say The Henderson is the best place we could’ve chosen. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They offer excellent room service, fine dining, casual dining, and even poolside and beachside dining! They have literally something for everyone. We took advantage of all amenities including the spa and everything was wonderful. If you haven’t decided on a place to stay in Destin, pick The Henderson!

Gorgeous property in Destin, Florida. Rooms are wonderful, complete with master bath, separate shower and soaking tub. Patios have great outdoor furniture. Lovely pool with outdoor bar. Private beach access less than a minute walk.

Arrived early and was put on a priority list for check in. Was given access to the facilities while we waited for a room. An hour before check in time I checked the status of our room and still not ready but was told it shouldn’t be much longer. Then at check in time went to get our room and still nothing available and no ETA could be given. Nobody at the front desk acted like they cared. 20 minutes after check in time, tried again, no room available still. In the meantime I saw several other groups get checked in and given a room. Nobody had an explanation other than the room type we were getting wasn’t ready. While talking to the lady, she tells me they can offer an accommodation when these types of things happened and asked if we had dinner reservations and how we parked (assumed I’d be given some sort of concession here). Then 30 minutes after check in time finally have a room ready. Nothing offered for the inconvenience, barely a care or an apology. Expensive parking, resort fees, and on site food and drinks. Don’t allow you to bring your own food or drinks to the pool or private beach. The room was decent, the view was the best part. Shower soaked the floor, toilet ran, terrible hand soap. Minimal TV channels. Comfy beds. The resort itself was really nice and convenient. Nice pool and gym. Games for the kids. Quick walk to the beach. Pool service staff, valet staff, and housekeeping staff all really friendly and helpful. Last day took my daughter to the boutique and she found a toy and wanted to buy it with her own money and the boutique doesn’t take cash. So we didn’t buy it and my daughter came to tears over it. And this while they were working to allow another customer to buy something with cash. The experience of the resort was fine but in my opinion not worth what you pay for. I would expect better service from the registration staff and more reasonably priced food and drink on site for guests.

We came last year and sadly, there is a difference in staff, housekeeping, ease of getting water and food, and much more due to COVID, Im guessing. The staff does not seem very trained, lots of miscommunication and housekeeping always had to be called in order for us to get towels, trash taken out, and new sheets. The pool waiters were very few and far between. No water available or towels for the adult pool and the ambiance was just much cheaper. You are charged for every little thing even though I paid $4000 dollars for my vacation. Youd think some things would be included staying at a resort. Also, the concierge was not very friendly and the service was all together disappointing compared to the year before.

Nice jacuzzi and adult pool.Bar 4/5 Good service, needs more tap beers.Room 5/5 new, clean, sleek, high quality linen and towels.Service 4/5 cleaning ladies amazing, front desk were ok, over the phone too long for someone to answer.Price 3/5 ridiculous overpriced, room priceIs fair since everything is high quality but food in the resort is way overpriced and is not good.Administration 0/5 they charged us the double of what it was suppose to, which required us to call multiple times and people insisted the charges were correct. After weeks and multiple calls someone from administration called us review the charges and corrected stating I’m sorry it was a computer mistake.Overall: amazing hotel poorly managed. Need to train their people better to avoid this mistakes and to serve better.

I will not be returning to Destin beaches after listening to this helicopter buzz by all day long - every day. The noise this helicopter generates completely diminishes the relaxing feeling of being at the beach. My family is annoyed seeing and hearing this helicopter every 10 minutes! I am a visitor from the Atlanta area and I will not be back.

Great resort! Coffee machines in the room leave a bit to be desired but they have a big pot in the lobby. Beach is a bit farther than originally believed. Extremely friendly staff!

As a local we have tried many times to use your advertised discounts. We have been lied to. Treated poorly. And received horrible Customer service by reservationists and management. I would rather throw away my gift certificate at this point than to even try coming there.

My husband and I visited the Henderson in February 2020 for our babymoon & loved it! The property was beautiful, the rooms were exquisite, and the private beach area was wonderful. Sadly, we didnt have great weather for enjoying the enticing pools, but still enjoyed some time on the beautiful white sugar beach.We booked their spa package and ended up running into a billing error/miscommunication when checking out...but thankfully, Laura & Wendy were patient and helped us out! I am glad we didnt just take their word for it and really tried to understand the billing so we were sure to get the deal/package we had booked with. So grateful they were able to fix the problem!Since we visited during the slow season, not all of the restaurants were open, but Horizons was and we enjoyed their taco night...as well as a takeout order to enjoy on the beach! (The fish sandwich was delicious!)The spa was a nice experience, but disappointing that their relaxation areas are separate. the only time my husband and I could spend together was during our couples massage & in their salt cave, which isnt where Id like to spend my spa time. We would have liked to lounge in the spa area together, but you only have that option if you book one of their upgraded packages for a couples suite. Regardless, it was still nice, just would have liked to enjoy it together. Also- their robes are to die for comfy! My husband ended up buying one for me after the fact because we both loved them so much! hahaLast note & Not on the property- but check out the restaurant the back porch- its DELICIOUS and has a great atmosphere & patio seating with a beach view. We ate there twice because we lived it so much!

Horrible experience. The staff are rude and careless. When we checked in there were a couple customers complaining to the front desk. One had her air conditioning broken the night before. Not a good way to start our vacation. Service was non existent. We went to rooftop bar and no one came to take our order for 15 minutes. There was 1 bartender with more than 8 people in line waiting on drinks so we left. The beach is not very close but like a 5 minute walk which is a drag with kids and beach toys. We finally had to call for housekeeping to come clean our room since it hadnt been cleaned still at 4:30 PM! The rooms are not sound proof at all. You can hear the next rooms and top rooms footsteps. Not sure how this place gets any good reviews.

Outstanding resort. An adults only pool and a family pool with a lazy river. Beautifully landscaped and meticulous detail given to all areas of the resort. Great meals served at Primrose Restaurant and good drinks and small eats at Horizons. While chillin poolside, enjoy great food and drinks from the Sea Level cafe. Multiple activities and excursions available; just see the concierge. Private beach is only a short walk away. This is a great place to vacation.

My family and I love the Henderson beach resort . This newly built resort is amazing . It backs up right next to a beautiful state park and has an incredible view. We can’t wait for next time !

We have had our bed made once in 4 days and our trash was not even taken today. We have ran out of conditioner and did not get a restock today. Our shower did not work when we got here, our bath tub drain cover came off, and the light switch came off. We have not gotten new towels today either. Would not recommend.

The Henderson is simply amazing!! It is the real deal, perfect in every way. I had one of the best facials I’ve ever had in my whole life at the Salamander Spa (the Essential Balancing Facial I believe it was called). Also the Thursday night happy hour is really great, which is located in the lounge which - of course - is also beautiful and cozy.Both pools are the best pools and patios in Destin!! LOVE. There is also a lazy river, pool bar and poolside service?! Yes, please!So many cute little spots within the resort...like the rooftop terrace (photo below) and the ice cream parlor!The Henderson Beach Resort is a local GEM!

Great staff , beautiful rooms and pretty beach. However my complaint is the quality of the food verses the high prices plus 20% mandatory gratuities. I ordered 2 sodas at the pool for a ridiculous $10! 2 soups , 2 club sandwich and 4 cocktails for a couple at lunch will set u back approx $135 with mandatory gratuities. Ridiculous. Ive stayed at many excellent properties around the world and these prices just dont relate to quality you get. Rooms were excellent but high food/beverages on top of $35 a day resort fees is just crazy for Destin.

I had the most enjoyable experience here with my girl. What an absolutely beautiful place! We had a lovely spa day with fabulous massages, relaxing in the jacuzzi, salt room and steam room. Even took a wonderful dip in the pool. All staff went above and beyond to make this a lovely day for us. We will definitely be back soon. Best spa on the Emerald Coast!

Attended the Womens Council of realtors district meeting at this lovely resort. Upscale, elegant, posh - all the luxury you would expect in a Destin resort.

The staff here is very friendly and respond quickly to your needs and requests. Food is delicious! The rooms are beautiful. The pool area is clean and relaxing; plenty of space to lounge. The reason I cant give 5 stars is because the house keeping staff was very inconsistent. My first day the housekeeping set up my towels, soaps, and coffee stations so nicely. Everything was in place and in order. The second day they set up the towels but didnt give me any condiments for coffee and took the glass coffee cups away completely. Third day, nothing was set up right. The towels were tossed in the room, not even in the bathroom. They threw the towels on the little counter when you step in the room. No refills on soap, no toilet tissue, no soap, shampoo or conditioner...no refills. They even took the mat out the bathroom you step on when getting out the shower. So long story short, the housekeeping is very inconsistent with their service. Also, the reason I cant leave a 5 atar review is because the resort put a family of 5 or 6 next to us. My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We are placed on the highest floor, second to the last room at the end of the hall and were thinking we will get peace and quiet and we did on night one. But on the second night a family checked in that last room on the same hall right next to us. I feel its pretty careless and thoughtless to put a large family in a room next to couples, especially couples celebrating anniversaries for obvious reasons. This family was up at 11:45pm screaming, banging the walls, playing karaoke. Totally killed my vibe. Sadly, we had to call security to calm things down. Security came within 30 seconds. Very responsive and cared about our concerns. They are only noisy during the daytime hours now, which is fine. Nights got better after the one time security intervention. My suggestion to the resort is house families separately from couples the best you can. Really kills the romantic vibe. Also, I would have liked a few complimentary eating options. Everything is charged plus 20% tip every order. Thats a little rough for the not so rich guests. But other than that I am having a great time! We check out tomorrow. With the knowledge we have acquired during our stay, we would be happy to have another visit here in the future.

Stayed here for a conference last year - the room was luxurious and the view fantastic. The conference room itself was perfect for our event. The only downside was, on the day of our event, there weren’t enough entrees prepared and many of us had to wait a long time for something to be cooked. The staff were apologetic and worked to correct the issue. Other than that, our stay was very pleasant.

The Henderson Beach Resort is the most gorgeous resort in the Destin/30A area! It feels like a Deluxe Disney resort. Their staff is very friendly, helpful, and their passion for their jobs shows. They offer some of the best events that are open to our local community and they express their gratitude towards our support of their business. We really enjoyed their Christmas event last night seeing their gingerbread house and meeting Santa! I also had a spa day here recently and it was amazing! Don’t miss the Himalayan salt room! Best massage experience I’ve had. Top notch service and amenities. Food is excellent from Horizons. Beach views are stunning. Luxurious getaway spot you need to visit! Cannot wait to come back to celebrate my anniversary here at Primrose later this month. Looking forward to a staycation here in the near future too!

Sadly, we were disappointed. Our AC and shower did not work. Our room was not serviced multiple days. Due to COVID we were told that towels and trash only would be serviced daily unless otherwise instructed. Even that was not taken care of daily. We opted for a resort instead of an Air BNB because room cleaning is important. We asked for the room to be cleaned twice, it took a third day of asking before the room was cleaned once.

Had an hour massage at Salamander Spa at The Henderson in Destin Fl. today. Due to the virus, all amenities at the spa were closed, which is totally understandable. No access to the jacuzzi, showers, salt room, Lavender room, lockers....... Because of this, I assumed that they would have reduced the $160 price tag. I inquired at the desk when I was done and planned to add to the tip, the difference between reduced and regular price. Much to my surprise, no discount was offered and the explanation was because they had to buy hand sanitizer and masks. They did however add ten minutes to the massage making it a complete 60 minute massage. I thought it was greedy and appalling that this was the case. I have had a couple of large spa parties there, and usually bring any guests who visit me there for a special experience. Never again!!!

Horrible customer service, Im a early bird went down for coffee nothing was out, the agent behind the desk Amila was very nasty and act as if I was asking for to much.I dont think asking coffee at 6.30 in the morning is to much, my room was awesome and the overall atmosphere is pleasant just dont ask Amila for nothing!!!

Nice resort. Clean, friendly people. Had plenty of activity for those with kids. Private beach nice feature. All the restaurants associated with the place has good food. Now I say this, but do know that the place is pricy. It’s not budget friendly at all. Did like that it is pet friendly and we were able to take our dog. The place to walk the dog on the “resort” is laughable, but the neighborhood around it gives you plenty of walk space. Especially if you have a larger dog like us.

Disappointed on the time of carnival.Came at 3:00pm to the front desk asked to get checked in ..your room wi be ready 4:00...its 6:00pm and the room is not ready yet...this does not go well when you have small kids and on 95 degree heat outside ..Location is great and very ckean..

Wow, truly beautiful. We go to the beach several times a year and was not familiar with this property. Stayed here for a business conference. They do charge a daily resort fee, but waved mine because I was there less than a day. Wish I could have stayed longer. A great property to bring the family with lots of planned events, direct access to the beach, modern, and extremely clean. Look forward to staying again!

Absolutely beautiful place! We went here for a ball and the grounds are maintained very well with a great atmosphere. Only recommendation is to have more parking spots offered.

The property is top notch, however there are multiple helicopter tour companies nearby that fly over the beach about every 5-10 minutes. Very loud and annoying when you are trying to enjoy the beach!

This place is pretty awesome! Its close enough to the action that the drive is quick but far enough off the path that you can relax. It has more things for kids to do than any hotel Ive stayed at and the in-house food was the best I had on the whole trip (and we hit 5 of the highest rated places in the area). The only down sides are the size of the parking lot and the size of the private beach. For the capacity of the hotel I felt like there should be more space in those areas but its far from a deal breaker. If you have the money to spend, cause the extras do add up, this place has got you covered!

This hotel is amazing. Check in was a breeze. It has lovely well maintained landscape and nice clean rooms with beautiful view of the gulf. There’s an adult pool and family pool with a lazy river which is my favorite. The spa is top notch. It is pricey but I will definite stay here again next time I visit Destin.

Beautiful place to get away to, love the tub but bed was too soft for me. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious, Chef Gary, duck was the best bite , easily on my top five

The property is beautiful and in a nice area. One star because of the proximity to this annoying tour helicopters buzzing by every 5-10 minutes.

The Henderson is a great place for families and couples to vacation. Wonderful amenities and services! We will definitely return!

Very clean and great staff.

From the amazing adults only pools to the prestine white sand beaches this place is absolutely amazing. Located right next to the state park its the only area in Destin where you dont feel surrounded by tons of people. They do charge a resort fee daily and parking. It ended up being an extra $50/day but it was worth it!
