This place was amazing! Our room was fantastic and the view was wonderful. Sometimes when I would look out the window or sit out on the balcony, it felt like I was on a cruise ship. The pool and beach were great! I was worried that both were going to be crowded, but not at all! Even the other guests I met at the pool were nice as well. Communication was easy and fast with Pirates Cove too. Overall, my friend and I loved our stay and hope to be back soon.

The food portions are great for the price. Great laid back atmosphere right on the water. Wonderful drink specials.

Hotel was amazing right on the beach sit and watch the sunrise from the balcony if that is your great place to stay.

Nice stay overall, however I do wish I would have actually seems some employees so I could ask questions, no vending machines, nowhere to get ice, no change machine for laundry. Pool was clean and beach access was awesome.

Overall not a good experience...the location is not bad, right on the beach, an ok pool, some gym equipment and some rundown washers and dryers. The room #602 is very small for four people, the two beds, two recliners and you luggage.As per the pictures;there is mold on the window treatment,rust in the microwave,towel bar glue to wall,rack over toilet not secure to wall,a/c vent and bathroom extractor vent full of lint/dustThe closet was full of useless items, leaving zero room for your belongings,Unnecessary item taking space...ie...palm tree, uninstalled smoke detectors, toy car, rock??The furniture is in poor conditionKitchen counter sticks out from Wall about 6 inches creating a trip hazardShower head has poor pressureAnd the is NO guide in the room as to the locations of the amenities in the complex.We place a complaint about the health issues with the mold via email. Their answer was you should had notify us with in 24 hours and no one came to address the other issues. The staff in the complex DONT work with the owners so there is to use to complain to them. Bottom line...if you are backpacking it and you are a slob...like living in a box.....this is your place.

We booked 3 nights in July, but due to COVID19 was unable to go. We called numerous times starting in March to Cancel or rearrange the booking to 2021 or until the pandemic passes, but the hotel never picks up the phone. Despite long distance charges for us (from Canada) we left numerous VM messages, but the hotel never return the calls.This hotel refuses to provide credit for 2021 or partial refund due to the pandemic. Stay away from this hotel. We booked through Hotels.com,and they too swept us under the rug and tell us to deal with the hotel directly. You would think as a hotel reservation provider that they would take more responsibility into ensuring their clients get the proper care, but apparently they dont care.

Horrible stay! There was no hot water and ZERO professionalism! The janitor crew only corresponded via email and never sent anyone. I emailed them 3 days straight and whoever was replying to my emails was real nasty toned. I will NEVER book a room their again. The beach water was hotter than the water in my room. THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE STAY. I dont recommend this place at all. Also, read the small print of everything they send. They charge a fee for everything. Straight scammers of the small print. It was something that said if I call the janitor service to check out an issue if THEY deem it not an issue they would charge me 120! Again I dont recommend this place at all.

Stayed here June 10th - 14th 2019, was pleased with our room, was a privately owned condo, so not much to do with the hotel itself or staff, but all seemed friendly enough, loved the pool and our ocean front view from our room. Will stay again for sure.

Nice AIRBNB on the beach & with a pool. Very comfortable room which has accommodation for a family of four to sleep & nice kitchen area.

Unit 618 very clean and comfortable. 2 queen beds make it nice for families or couples staying together. One of the closest oceanfront rooms with balconies I have ever seen...so close at high tide, you might think you are in the ocean! The building is older, but updated and very well maintained. If you are expecting the Ritz or brand new, its not...if you are expecting a clean, comfortable, safe and AWESOME location then this is the perfect place to lay your head at night after a full day on the beach. A truly iconic Daytona Vacation spot! All of our favorite restaurants were close by and the miniature golf across the street was perfect for our kids!

Great value for an oceanfront hotel.We have stayed here many times and I tell you it put the big boy hotels to shame! This is a great location - you can go any direction on the peninsula and inland right out the front door, + beach access for your vehicle. The property is very well maintained and the staff is friendly, and it is very affordable. Right on the beach!

The photos are deceptive, as there is no water park area on this property. We mainly used our unit as a place to sleep while visiting friends in the area. It was adequate for our needs. Very small unit, but huge TV. I question their claim at 4 pools, because it seemed like they had just the one; but maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Communication regarding check in was clear and easy. I had requested early check in and was told I’d be messages when my room was ready, which never did happen. But really, it’s a great price to a clean place right on the water!

We engaged an Air BnB and stayed in a very nice efficiency with a grand views of Daytona Beach. From there, the sunrise was spectacular. The waves on the beach were quiet, but you could easily for down to walk in them. Loved the spot

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The view from our room is fantastic, looking out toward the ocean. The sunset is truly beautiful.Unfortunately I can only give this place 3 stars because the washers and dryers cost money to operate even though they are secured in an area for residents only.My vacation is unfortunately about 2 weeks after hurricane Matthew so the pool here is still under renovation and is closed off completely. Maybe this would have earned back another star.

We booked through airBNB and had a fifth floor ocean front studio and omg! It was better than I expected. I was getting married five mins from the condo at Wilbur Boathouse and I wanted to kick off our honeymoon by relaxing on the beach and waking up to watch the sunrise. Perfect sunrise and perfect view.

Its a very old building and they have roaches . The outside of it looks nice. If they put some money into it . It would be a nice place to stay because of the location. The gym even looks depressing. The only thing I did like about the hotel was the view and the bed was comfortable. I really wanted to spend the extra money and stay at another location but I didnt want to be mean. I just decided to do my own cleaning and disinfecting .

Unit 306 was extremely clean. Nicely furnished. Great TV. Extremely satisfied.

Im a beach lover and this place was way cool! The water was good. Couldnt make much of a sand castle in the sand but had loads of fun walking along the beautiful and clean shore. Great spot, visible life guards and a spot to park and change.

I rented my room through I trip I suggested you dont do that there was somebody in my room and he said he was staying there already they give you a digital code my wife open the door on him we paid with a credit card three weeks ago for this room so dont rent a room from I trip ever because somebody else will be staying there not you so I had to drive two hours for this and then I drove 2 hours home not happy

Would have been 5 stars if the pools were heated like its says.

Great location beach side and less crowded than other areas. Nice private pool and private beach access. Public beach access is adjacent to the building. Lifeguard tower is close by. Condominium is a little outdated. The rooms vary as they are each privately owned. Room size is small but adaquate. Each room has an ocean view. CVS, Starbucks, Beach store, miniature golf, and gas station all within 5 min walk. Not a luxury condominium but very affordable and practical for those spending the majority of their time on the beach.

Stayed here for a week. Very nice. Enjoyed it. Had a wonderful time with the family. Swimming. Cooked out on the grills. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Economical, right on the beach, rooms are clean and European in size. You have pool access which is right on the beach. Beach access is right off the pool area and its clean. Laundry on site. Almost no staff on site so be aware its not a hotel/motel.

I wont drive an other of my Mustangs on the beach, so parking at The PIRATES COVE is hassle free and at certain times, nicely shaded.ENJOY YOURSELVES, AND USE ALL NATURAL SUNSCREEN!!

I stayed in suite 525 this was the without a dought the best vacation we ever had. The place was beautiful, clean and well stocked. An amazing view right from your bed. My wife and i cannot wait to return to this peace of haven. Five stars

Beach was awesome and nice. Very relaxing and kiddos really enjoyed building sand castle and burying each other!!.. The hubby and I really felt like we were on vacation...

Needs a little tlc and some management. Spa didnt work. Need anything nobody is there. Garbage was a mess. Other was room was great. Pool was great. We would come back.

Most common areas are newly renovated and all units have newer windows and front and back doors. Condo hotel so each unit is individually owned and can vary greatly but all common areas are very clean. Pool is clean but freezing cold in the winter months even though claims to be heated. You cant beat the views and salt life mentality though so two thumbs up!

We were staying at the Pirates Cove. Free WiFi andHBOWe stayed in unit 601. It sits on the north side of the building so we got an excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean and of the Halifax river. The hotel in all is old but very well cared for. The pool was nice, cool and clean. I will definitely go there again. The location is very convenient with a drug store, the board walk and the main life guard station with in a stones throw.

Horrible experience. Mattress had holes, stains. Stench in the room. Wifi never worked. Bugs. Didnt dare walk barefoot. Carpet had to be 40 yrs old. I rented for a full month but left 2 weeks early. No one wanted to help the situation(s). They cant run to wal mart and get me a mattress pad for $10? I was renting an owner room. Then, I couldnt get anyone to clean. Was told owner had left cleaning supplies. No vacuum, no rags, just a broom and dust pan. Some cheap spray stuff under cabinet. Then, they are running new wiring to each room so there was a tap tap tap all day long. I rented this place because I needed somewhere to stay to recover from surgery. I couldnt clean anything and they knew this before I moved in. Desk goes home at 5pm. Cant find anyone around after that. The kicker is I paid $2000 for the month. I asked if I would get any money back if I left early, was told they needed to ask the owner. Of course never heard about that again. Then there are the other people who live there year round. Would not want to meet any of them in a dark alley. So, thats my take on my stay. I wont make that mistake again. Hope you dont either.

Super Condos Excellent Staff

We took our family for a beach getaway and will definitely return. Room 424 was exactly as advertised and very accommodating. Owner was prompt in messaging and it was seamless. Would give five stars but we had no hot water one night (not the owners fault) and some of the weekday work caused wet walkways in and out of the elevators. Pool is excellent. View is perfect. Location is ideal. For the price, you cant go wrong.

The change from a Hotel to condos was a surprise to me as Ive not been back to Daytona Beach since 1974. Ive seen their website which is very impressive and I plan to do more research.

My family stayed in unit 614. The Oceanfront view was amazing!!! Both the bed and couch were comfortable. We had a wonderful walk on the beach and walked to a restaurant for dinner. Great location and everything is so convenient. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

We went through a private owner and that went fine. The view is great and you can see for miles. One of the reviews I read mentioned that the pictures arent as accurate as you would hope, and they were right, so view them with a grain of salt. If you expect help from staff you might find yourself disappointed. They are not necessarily invested in their place of employment.

Rent by the day, week or month kinda says it all. It was clean. The poolside bar is closed. Seen better days i think.

The rooms in the condo I rented was super cute. And the owner had great stuff to share. Great for summer vacation.

For the price of the room I was not happy. When I booked they did not say anything about the pool being down. The view was good. There was not any wash clothes. The cable kept going on and off. The bed was way to soft where you would fall in the middle. Then there was no phone in the room. Also when we left this morning early there was no drop box for the keys so we had to leave them in the gate at the desk. What hotel does not have a person or drop box for keys.I am going to try at least to get some money back especially spending over two hundred dollars.

I really enjoyed the room even though the tub mat had not been cleaned good and when I got in the shower the mat slid and I fell out of the tub and when my son sat in one of the chairs on the balcony the back legs bent and caused him to hit the floor even though he is not heavy set at all and the room isnt really set up for heavy set people. Luckily my husband brought his own chair! But I would definitely stay here again!

Great, clean resort! Very quiet, right on the beach & even next to lifeguard chair! Plus its right by one of the main bridges! Loved the condo 222, as well! Perfect beach getaway!!

Stayed at Pirates Cove and it was great!! Great location. Just steps from the beach and we could walk to restaurants and shopping or take the bus. The room (suite 401) was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed on our vacation. My kids loved the pool. The view was awesome! The front desk staff is very helpful and nice. Great little quiet get away!! It was well worth the $ we paid to stay for the week!!

ONCE A HOTEL, NOW CONDOS FOR SALE.

The initial photo they send to you of the room is just a picture of the bed and the ocean You Dont See the furniture falling apart Rusty holes in the ceiling dirty floors dirty sinks, dirty microwave, dirty refrigerator and bugs the only thing you are truly getting for your money is the view of the ocean nothing more at all , a rat trap at best. They use air fresher everywhere to cover up the stink.I would not stay there again ,,,,, for free ,,,, and will definitely tell anyone I know that are thinking of staying a Daytona Beach.

This is a fun place. You can go to this all year long. If it gets too hot in the summer, you can just go later in the day. Staff has been friendly. The greens are in good shape.

Seems to be all the decent reviews on here are for location, and proximity to the beach. As for Pirates Cove itself, it leave a lot to be desired. The rooms feels dirty, and unmaintained. They are also very outdated. The individual owner we dealt with has been rude, and standoffish. I definitely do not recommend, unless youre looking for frat house spring break feel.

Great Value!!! Their private balconies and views were amazing. Will always remember the beautiful sunrises and walks to the pier. Couldnt say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was.

Small room.

Do not stay here look for other accommodations. First time here and will be our last. Sprayed for pests yesterday in rooms, also pool is closed for maintenance. Never had to pay for ice at a place like this before. Rained hard day before yesterday and elevator has a big puddle of water in front of it that is still there. Room door key does not work very well can spend 5 minutes jiggling to get it to open, reported it and still broken.

If I could give a zero I would. Cons. The room was dirty upon arrival. The shower had some shotty repair work and still had holes in the walls. The towel holder in the bathroom fell off the wall. There were missing covers on the outlets. Missing smoke detector wires were exposed. One of the beds were falling apart. The table leg was broken and repaired multiple times. There wasnt any one at the front desk. Any time I went up there including to check out The cage was locked up. Property management needs to be reevaluated and re assigned. The property could be so much more with the right management team in place.Pros. Location is great.

Everything was clean and we had a great time here. The ONLY annoying thing was that there was a support beam going through the middle of the kitchen, but the view from the balcony made up for it :)
