Very easy to get lost with 546 acres and 10 miles of trails in this urban park and thats just what I did. Trails were all graveled, wide with some elevations where I could see downtown, Garden of Gods and mountains. Trails are used for hiking, biking and horseback riding. I walked all the way to the Nature Center and back. Mostly in full sun with some shaded areas. Beautiful fall colors with all the trees turning reds and yellows this time of year. The park is well manicured with pavilions, playground and large open grass area.

This is an amazing place for dog owners! Tons of fenced in open areas for your dogs to run amuck. I have three dogs and was worried about letting mine off the leash but once I did they played beautifully with 15 other dogs nicely. They have a huge stream and picnic tables and benches . Its at the base of the mountain so the views are outrageously awesome.

Bear Creek Park was quite concerning because I went there to go look at bears never did see one also went to look for a creek, people said I was too late springtimes , they should have put that as not Bear Creek sometimes water in the spring Park. But it was pretty wide open and pretty nice, pretty well takincare of. It was a summary if you want to have your dog run around in a fenced-in area or if you would like to take your wedding pictures great place to come.

This is the most amazing dog park I have ever been too. One side is more grass and dirt with hills to climb and the other side is woods with streams. At the end is a watering hole for the dogs to play in together. Best part is that it is free. I would 100% recommend this dog park if you are in Colorado near the springs area.

Always a good spot for a hike. Parking is not the greatest. Lots of nice short trails along the creek. Good starting point to make a longer hike to North Cheyenne Canon Park since High Drive goes from Bear Creek Park to the Upper Parking Lot in North Cheyenne Canon.

Wife and I wanted to find other places to play pickle ball in Colorado Springs and heard Bear Creek had tennis courts with one court with tape markers for pickle ball.Problem is even tho the courts look great, when you play on them whoever redid them put a fiberglass cloth and paint sealed and is all de-laminated from the asphalt that is underneath, you can see the seam lines where they were rolled down and seams have separated where moisture could get underneath and imagine throughout the winter froze and separated.Problem when playing the ball will bounce like a dead ball while playing, every bounce will be different. I see they are working on building new pickle ball courts and hope they dont put such covering on the new courts. Hope the new courts are great so I can give a 5 star.

We love love love this place. This is the second time we have visited. I live to bring my kids.We like hiking up to the right of the nature center and spending as much time as possible near the creek. It’s beautiful there! The nature center is also very good. We learned some new things in a short amount of time. There are tons of miles of trails. For short or long hikes. Bring water!

From small to large. All breeds of dog to be seen here. Large area for free roaming socialized and smaller area for the younger pups. One of the 10 best in USA. Wet stream goes through the dog park, but some people think its for kids. Wrong! Keep an eye on kids playing in water as dogs love to run through the stream.

My dog and I love this place! It is a huge area for off leash dogs with a creek running through it! It does get muddy after and during the snow melt, but if you have a dog hopefully you are pretty familiar with mud. Over all it is an excellent place to play and socialize your big or small dog. They have a separate small dog area in case youre not comfortable with the rest of the dogs.

Bear Creek is a beautiful park! Picnic area, trails, seasonal gardening plots available to rent, jungle gym & many other amenities. Park is well maintained & safe. Approximately 1/4 mile down the road is Bear Creek Dog Park. There your Canine companion(s) can romp & play too!!As with ANY park or public hiking area, ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings, especially after dark! This area is home to Bears & 3 types of large cats: Puma/mountain lion, Bobcat and last but NOT least, the Lynx. All in all, a GREAT PARK for family & friends to gather at, or for you to soak up some nature without having to travel far. Ive attached 2 pix of the Garden Plot Area. Enjoy!

Love this place, it had a bee exhibit in the welcome center with a working hive... I was there while they were renovating the center but me and my boy had a good time...the trails are family friendly and fun with a bunch of plaques showing you whats around you... from plant life and trees to localized animals and creatures... nice little hike with a small stretch running next to a babbling brook.... definitely would recommend this if your in the neighborhood and want a nice little afternoon with the fam. 100% love this place go out and check it out...

Is an awesome dog park !! Same review as my other one I have for Bear Creek dog park..this is just another entrance to the park its on the east side of the park and kinda secluded !! But gotta watch out for the occasional bonehead that thinks that their pitbull with nuts is allowed to be causing a ruckus when the park rules say different !! But other than that 5 stars is what it deserves 4 is what it gets!!
