I enjoy this little park quite a bit. It has relatively low traffic even though its next to a fairly busy street. It has nice equipment for the kids and the area is always well manicured. Only knock is the parking

Clean, quiet, public park, with lots of open green space. Southwest corner has a small but robust childrens playground. Swings, climbing features, imagination station, a pavilion, all in good shape. Play area is covered with fresh wood chips. Very nice area - granddaughter approved.

We stopped for lunch at the park today, it was a nice cloudy day. The park was beautiful, its located in a decent part of town, lots of foliage and shade, basketball and tennis courts. The only thing I did not enjoy was all the debris from the dead stuff, but other than I recommend u stop and check it out. Fun for the whole family and they have a playground as well.

Nice park with street parking. I didnt see a parking lot. The park is only about the size of a city block, but with plenty of running room for kids and dogs. It has a really nice playground with a couple of sandboxes, a few slides, lots of stuff to climb on, some round spinny things, and of course, swings. There are several picnic tables and a covered picnic area. There are quite a few old, tall trees, so its pleasantly shady. I happily recommend this park.

My father would take me here as a little kid to the infamous Stagecoach. Like many of us growing up in the Springs, this park is a small slice of home on the westside. It was great to see so many different people out having a good time & always friendly.Park playground equipment looks seemingly well kept. Im a bit disappointed that theres a lot of small, discarded pieces of debris, plastics & trash on the grass. If I were regularly visiting, I would contact the Management of whomever cleans, tends to the safety upkeep of Thorndale Park. A request needs to comb through the grass to remove everything that can/could/will cut skin. Parks are made to be crawling with kids from all ages & family pets as well. The rollout bin has several disguarded doggie poop bags on & around it.... So people appear to be making somewhat of an effort to clean up after their dogs, however Im curious as to why they were not simply thrown into a park trash can? I DO love this park.... Its a part of my life where many celebrated birthdays occurred. I hope the next time we visit, the ground is picked up a bit better. I believe that if every one person picked up anything needed to be placed in the trash cans, the task of having a safe place to walk barefoot with your pet(s) would exist ASAP. Its a big world, we all need to pitch in. Including me.

Finding a green shady park isnt always easy in Colorado, but finding one with an expansive playground populated with kids of all ages is a parents dream. Between its location, the playground, basketball courts, a green way, benches, picnic tables, a shelter, and shady (on street) parking, this park is sure to satisfy any family for an outing. The main street is well-traveled, but the majority of the park is set well back from the street so as not to concern parents, or interfere with conversation.
