It needs the leaves done. The water stinks. Might be the fountains are not working in the water. Also, dog friendly with a leash, but no bags for the poop.

Very nice area with lots of play space in the shade and a nice walking path. Needs a little more attention from a care taker but overall is a family favourite.

I brought my kids here and now my grand daughter. They love to feed the ducks and then play on the playground. Its never crowded or packed and its so serene. I love this park.

Quite and calm with well kept lawns. A lot of space for a large number of people. A lot of benches to sit for relaxation and beautiful and safe playground for children.

Nice park, fairly well maintained. Ample parking for the most part, however if there is an event going on parking is in short supply. You can fish in the lake, though not much will bite.quite a bit of wild life and if you are lucky you may see a bald eagle. All in all for a small park in the middle of an old city area its quite nice.

Youll find that my full review is two pages long. However, the short version is that we are incredibly happy that my grandmother is in such good hands. The residents have a very active schedule which includes singing, yoga, crafts, bus trips, and things like pie baking competitions (my grandma just won one!). I genuinely believe that we could not have found a better place than Lakeside for my grandmother, and we feel confident in recommending it to others. Sweet spot of romance

Nice park to visit and just sit and relax.

It was so nice until the fountain stopped working... now it’s turned into a nasty green place where people put their trash because it honestly looks like a dump and it STINKS. So unfortunate because I moved to this neighborhood to hang out at that park and now I simply can’t. It’s been about 2 months since I’ve seen the fountain work so I don’t think they’ll be fixing it anytime soon.

Well-maintained park with beautiful scenery, nice even walking paths, two playgrounds, on-site water fountains, lots of trash receptacles for cleanup, and adequate parking

Lake needs to be cleaned up and there are way to many wasps. Play equipment is definitely aged. Pavilions are okay but if you plan to be a host/hostess then I suggest decorations to cover up the stains and cracks. Porta potties need cleaning. There is no wash basin(sink) to use after you do your business. Fountains are too low in water pressure to drink from.

Probably one of the best neighborhood parks in the area

Very shaded and open. Wasnt too crowded and is a nice place to be with family or for a stroll by yourself.

Currently, the water is gross. Algae and other plants grow on top, and looking down into the water you can see leaves that have collected in the bottom that are almost at the surface. It looks like it is not maintained at all, and you can see where heavy rains have pushed algae and other plants into the surrounding grass and dirt. There are also many low spots around the lake that stay wet for days/weeks after it rains. This park holds fond childhood memories for me, but its current conditions are abhorrent. They have recently replaced some barriers/fencing that was old, and in the past year or so have refurbished the bridge that spans the lake. However, the water and the land immediately surrounding it is nasty, and I would not recommend letting your kids or pets play around them. The playground area and picnic shelters are in decent shape, but with the water the way it is this park is a mosquito haven.

I love this park..since Ive moved from Philadelphia, its the only place that makes me feel at home and its been 9 months

This is a summer spot, good for cookouts and endless running. I often enjoy their pier but now you have to book the shelter areas. This place has plenty of community programs for kids and back to school programs but you have to be standing idle on a random day to get any info from people posting flyers. They also have a dog section but i never see owners pick up droppings so watch your step lol.

The park was nice, even though had geese poop everywhere... would have given more stars BUT their way a little boy who tried to push my daughter into the water and was using foul language at her.

Its a great Park a lot of people dont be there though but its a good place to use to have some parties at and family reunions make sure you look out for small children though before they fall in the lake.

Nice park... not fancy but it has character. Nice paths and decent playset and slides. Its lake is well bulkheaded but smaller children should be watched after. Rebuilt bridge is great.

Pretty small park. They do have some paddle boats to ride on around the lake and a nice bridge perfect for pictures.
