This park is highly recommended. The environment is inviting and quite peaceful plus social distancing is easy to accomplish. Its great for the children, adults & pets and there are enough people to where you dont feel uncomfortable or as if youre all alone in the woods. I will definitely do this trail again... soon!

The best park in Chesapeake! A calm and relaxing park in Chesapeake. It is kids and dog friendly. There is a lake in the middle and about a 1.5 mile walk around the lake. There is a large playground for kids. This is a great spot of running and biking. This is also a beautiful place to take pictures.

Nestled close to town, this well-kept park has a 1.5 mile trail loop of earth/woodchips with a forest canopy over much if it. The childrens jungle gym play area up front is great for playdates it seems too. Ive only encountered polite walkers and runners and although parking is limited, it isnt overcrowded on the trail. Fishermen seem to like the lake too but I cant offer an opinion regarding their catch. Go, enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise. And if there is an older guy huffing a bit but still with good form, smile at him.

This park is awesome. It has a great playground for the kids with benches, beautiful lake, and a 1.5 mile walking trail around the lake shaded by trees. This is a great place for adults and kids alike. Good for runners and walkers. Lots of dog walkers as well. Also fishing in the lake, with fishing license of course. Highly recommend this place. Also, parking can sometimes be a little rough and spill out onto the street, but its manageable.

This is by far the best park in Chesapeake to take your dog for a walk. One lap around is the perfect distance of just under 1.5 miles. The pathway is very wide and contains small gravel. The views around the entire park are beautiful. You can also go catch and release fishing (do not bring home water is not clean). Also has a very nice playground for the children. Lots of benches to take a rest as you are going around the lake. There is one pavilion with about 6 tables which could be used for a get together. And also 3 portable toilets, which are usually pretty clean. Please note that the back side of the park backs up against the by-pass so you will hear cars, but it’s not loud at all.Parking is easy as you can park on the street or in the parking lot across the street from the park entrance. Please be sure to pick up your trash and dog poop as there are a bunch of trash cans and they usually provide doggie bags at the entrance. You are not allowed to swim or wade.I highly recommend trying this park out with your dog! Check out the pictures!

Great park! Simple 1.5 miles loop around the lake thats mostly shaded. Great for running, walking the dogs or cycling. The trail can and will turn into part of the lake after a heavy rain. Erosion from this has exposed some roots which can present a light trip hazard. Overall, Id highly recommend you check it out!

This is an amazing park, I love coming here to fish and once in a while go on either a run, bike ride, or just a walk around the beautiful lake. Whats also great is that if you came with kids there is a playground with jungle gyms and a lot of other activities that they can do. I love coming here and highly recommend it.

This is a great place to bring your whole family. The newly paved path from the parking lot to the playground and picnic shelters is a great addition to allow more people access to this beautiful little treasure. If youre a runner/walker, follow the path around the lake for 1.5 miles of prettiness you didnt know was tucked away in the Greenbrier area. I do my interval runs there without getting bored. It would be better if there was a bathroom, but for now theres a portable john available.

Nice nice nice park, been going here for years. Its an easy flat trail that loops around the lake. Good for a run, fitness walking, or just a relaxing stroll. Its fun for family, kids, and friends... and you can bring your dog here too!!! There are resting stops, workout posts, and fishing piers all along the trail. Picnic tables, playground, and porta potties near the entrance for convenience. Plenty of shade and open spaces for sightseeing. The entire park is well maintained and beautiful. Its a nice and serene experience here no matter which activity you choose.

Brought my dog here today to walk around the lake a couple times. They have a 1.5 mile loop of fine pebbles to walk/run on, a jungle gym, exercise equipment, covered and uncovered picnic tables, scenic overlooks, water access (with no swimming signs), and two small docks. There were lots of people walking their doggos, people running, people biking, people with strollers, and people walking. The trail is wide and the park seems well maintained. There is even a medium field on the opposite side of the water. Check it out!

We love this park. Theres tons of space to explore, play, workout, and relax. The biggest thing that makes it hard to enjoy 100% is that the mosquitos can be super super bad during parts of the year. It would also be awesome and super appreciated if the city put in actual bathrooms.Theres a fun park and whenever we visit with kids they end up also enjoy finding sticks and running the pathway.Also- we called and asked- We were told that lettuce is a great snack to feed the turtles in the lake. Dont toss bread in for them.

This is a great park to visit. There is a beautiful walking trail that goes around the lake, a nice playground and some good fishing as well. The setting is beautiful. The trail is 1.5 miles around the lake. There are spots for scenic views and strategically placed picnic tables. The downfalls are the lack of parking for the popularity of the park on nice days. Parking in the office park across the street is what many people do. The only restrooms are porta pots, I did not check to see if they are clean, and there are no water fountains so bring water. Lulu loved it and its a great trail walk for you and your dog.
