This location was such a surprise, but true hidden gem. The grooming of the trails and bike jumps speak to the dedication of those tending. There’s such a fun variety of runs and jumps nestled into such A magical setting. We will be sure to return!

It was our first time going there, its beautiful trail. The only down fall there is no sign how to exit. Mostly the trail is for bickers but its nice. Will do it again

This park, on the surface, is pretty perfect. It has multiple, winding trails, beautiful vegetation, benches overlooking pretty streams, and lots of hills, making for great exercise. However, the sign at the entrance, instead of reading multi-use trail should actually say hikers: watch.your.backs. There are cyclists, most going about 30 mph, whipping up and down the often very narrow trails and, if you fail to hear them and/or yield the right of way, youre liable to get run down. This is not a place for a peaceful walk because youll surely get jolted out of your woodland reverie by someone hollering ON YOUR RIGHT, as they speed past you. Its unnerving and dangerous and, in my opinion, its a waste of a lovely urban nature space.

Great park for biking. While you can definitely take a walk in this park it is more geared towards the cyclist. A large majority of the paths are narrow but do widen in some areas. Theres also an area where you cross over a field into another portion of the park where there are jumps if youre in the BMX riding. While it is a great park, I give four stars because of the excessive amount of roots that are on the trails. This is probably something thats not preventable but it doesnt make for a smooth ride. Aside from the field you cross into from one area of the park to the other the park itself is 100% shaded so thats nice. I dont know if you want a good bike run with jumps and trail riding this is the park for you. I would go back but I definitely wont bring my infant cart next time. One of our favorite parts for biking is Oak Grove Park. Its a mile and a half loop around the lake and the path is very wide, enough for two-way traffic. Happy trails!

I love the jumps and Im pretty sure you will to but dont full send them. Jump them at your own past. Dont be afraid of people making fun of you because they wont all the riders there are super nice to all ages so just relax and have fun

This park is beautiful but there are several things you should be aware of.1. If your plan is to go hiking or biking, don’t go to the posted address (1709 Rokeby) - go to 2003 Rokeby Avenue instead. 2003 Rokeby is the access point for trails, etc.2. While beautiful, the trails are poorly marked. It’s hard to even make sense of them. It’s as if they were marked out by an inebriated person - truly. Major forks are unmarked (as if someone forgot what they’re supposed to be doing, lol). The trails are filled with random paint colors (some crossed out) and unintelligible markings. All that to say, if you have a poor sense of direction, bring your phone for GPS. Chesapeake’s best and brightest certainly did not mark these paths! 3. Hikers, be prepared to leap off the path to avoid collisions. Cyclists use even the walking trails and they’ll come barreling towards you. I’m hesitant to bring my 6 year old daughter here for this reason.I feel it’s worth mentioning that this park isn’t particularly well maintained. Trash receptacles are putrid and overflowing and several “bridges” are out of service.Overall, this is a beautiful place and a surprising, mostly pleasant find in the middle of a busy suburban area.

Nice trails to explore that feel like real hiking trails. A little road noise, but the leaves rustling minimizes most of it. If you have a poor sense of direction, you may want to tag your car location. Mixed trails for hiking and biking/bmxing with a few picnic tables at one parking lot area. One of my favorite areas to take my dog

The trails are well maintained and clearly marked. I love that its explicitly dog-friendly and there were lots of trail options for us to come back and see something new! I will say that I dont recommend walking these trails with headphones in though. There were a few bikers and the way the trails are I didnt see them until they were on top of me, but I could hear them coming. Im also glad that I marked on my phone where I parked my car so I could find my way out when I went off trail

Trails are horribly marked and maintained. It seems like every hundred feet or so the trail forks into two and you never know which way is the actual trail or just an unofficial path. And the trails look like they haven’t been properly maintained in months. The BMX jump area is the only saving grace for this park, however. Very legit BMX area.

The park is gorgeous but there are a lot of problems, first is google maps location for the trail part of the park is wrong. The trails are located off of Drew Dr. well that’s the only entrance I found & there was no parking so I parked by the street & the trail is dirty, when I went there was a lot of trash, the little stream looked disgusting & it was pretty sketchy. As I walked deeper in the park I stumbled into a few homeless peoples home? I’m not sure if there are always homeless people living there in makeshift tents with clothes hanging up or if it was a one time thing but it made me feel like I shouldn’t be there alone, so I turned around & the trails are very poorly marked so I almost got lost multiple times & it says nature trail but it’s mainly just for bikes, it not really made for dog walks & I was only there about an hour & when I got to my car between me & my 2 dogs I found 9 ticks on us, that’s a lot for a short time. So I won’t come back but if you’re into mountain biking this is your place. I suggest not going here alone unless you have protection or something.

This hidden treasure is a fun, family friendly place to take the family. They have canoes and paddleboats with all the safety gear available for those wanting a water adventure! They have a small store to grab snacks or support the park. Families can fish at the gorgeous ponds and waterways. The nature trails are well maintained and a fantastic place to explore for animals or foliage. During the fall, they do a haunted hayride that is usually sold out.

Pretty awesome spot to walk your dog around. Lots of little trails. Good for BMX biking. Careful because the trails inter loop. You need to watch out for bikers. Parking is not where the address tells you to go. Head to Drew Dr. You will pass the entrance to the trails and can park right by the entrance on the street to get to the actual trails.
