Love how natural the park was and yet still so many different things to do. It really inspired my kids to use their imaginations, run, climb, and play.

This is quite possibly the best bark in the entire area. There are four or five different playgrounds within the one park, all geared for different ages. Everything here seems to be very well maintained by the city of Chesapeake. This is also nice because it it fenced in with only one entrance/exit so its much easier to keep an eye on the kids. There are also well maintained bathrooms and covered picnic areas right outside the fence. Highly recommended for anyone with kids.

This is a great playground! It has 3 huge play areas, swings, rock climbing, a big sand pit, a stage, and plenty of room to run around. I like how the play area is fenced in from surrounding neighborhoods. Theres only one way in and out.

Nice place, bug and secluded. My girls had a great time. Although the city needs to check some of the walk planks at the beginning of the structure by the large cross rings. Some of the boards might need to be replaced. Beautiful place! ️

Someone recommended this park to me and I can see why. The park is very big. Very nice, large playground for all kids to play at. We were there for and hour and a half and it felt like 15 minutes. They had a basketball court and dog park. They even had a farmers that was just closing as we were pulling up. They also had places right next to the park where you could hold childrens birthday parties at. I definitely recommend this place if you have kids you will love it and so will they.

Bathrooms are not currently open. I understand about covid and germs, but I think the regular restrooms would be way more sanitary than the porta- potties.

We absolutely love Fun Forest, but there was no water to drink for the children and also the toilets are shutdown.

One of the few, possibly only, fully shaded and fenced off parks in the area. Old school wooden park with three different playgrounds based on age group. There is also a sand pit and swings.Outside of the park, and also shaded by pines, are covered picnic tables as well as bathrooms (no porta-potties here)

Once again great for walking. Dont have kids but clear pathhs and lots of things for kids to play on for all ages

No enforcement for age restrictions. If your child is a toddlers, you definitely have to watch out for older kids running into them, especially in the age restricted areas.

Absolutely love this playground, its shaded, has water fountains and public bathrooms. it is also gated with only one entrance so it makes me feel safe with the kids.

The best park in VA Beach, the size and multiple playgrounds are fantastic. 3 playgrounds dependent upon ability, artificial rocks, bathrooms, pavilions, concrete sea creatures, water fountains, swings, a stage and rubber flooring for tough falls.

Love this place to run around with my granddaughter. Its pretty clean for a city park. Well maintained. Lots of kids, lots of things to climb and slide on.

Rude exit ppl. Also purchased a nice looking watermelon for kids and I and the inside was ROTTEN !!! Very upset we where there fruits and Vegetables do not last long plus has no flavor very bland.

Excellent and beautiful park. Great play area...needs a good cleaning of all the old cobwebs but other than that wonderful for the little ones.

If you are near the area of Chesapeake, I highly recommend visiting the Chesapeake City Park. There is a lot to do at this park, especially for kids. My son enjoys playing on the playground, running and walking. In the summer be on the lookout for activities provided by the City of Chesapeake, awesome family event. The best park!!

Love this park, usually crowded in the Summer with Summer camps. Plus: Theres a lot of room to run; areas for the little ones and for bigger kids. Outdoor benches and tables and shelters for picnic and group party. The park is vast and far from convenient store, if you plan to go to this park, bring your drinks.Downside: restrooms are outside of the fence: a little far from the playground, could easily loose sight of kids.

Great place to bring kids. fully-enclosed park. 90% shaded. there are two big separate Park swing sets everywhere. and a large area to run around in.

Super fun playground! Especially for a big age range. My 8 and 4 year old both found things to do. Lots of people have left behind trash and there arent many or any trash cans.

Gorgeous park. BUT might I suggest putting a fence with a lock in gate around the sandbox for families may not want their kids picking up whatever is in it and bringing it home? We go every week sometimes twice a week and that sandbox is never ever cleaned daily, kept dry/covered.

Lots of variety in terms of climbing structures and play areas for the kids, well laid out for watchful parents, and clean grounds. A nice place to take young kids for them to play and I safe area.

This place is awesome. I have 2 young kids and they could spend all day here. The best is that there is tons and tons of shade. Many parks you bake in the sun while watching your kids play.... Not here! And they have full running water bathroom facilities. Highly recommended.

I have heard of this place and seen pictures but had never been there until yesterday. What a great place to take the kids for a little while for them to blow off some steam. It being so close to my house, I will definitely take the kids more often.

Lost of kids and looks fun!

Today was our first time visiting this park! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it! There were tons of things for the kids to do and play on! Basketball, volleyball, dog park as well plus more! It was beautiful and clean. Best park we have been to in quite some time. We will definitely be back!

We do enjoy this park as we come to play Pokemon Go and walk with our dog. The only real complaint I have is lack of shade when walking the entire park. Its hard to walk with your dog that doesnt like to be chased by other dogs that are bigger than him when there isnt much shade. He loves long walks, but we have to wait until were near the picnic tables for more shade again after a certain point.

This plsce is huge! Amazing play equipment. Totally fenced in. Concrete sidewalks. Pine trees everywhere! My kids said it feels like camping. Ah-mazing

The best park ever

Came up on this on accident intentionally, but boy was it super nice. I didnt expect so much for my 4 year old to do. And one of the beat parts is its surrounded by trees so on a hot day like today we were still shaded. So much fun.

Great outdoor park with lots to do. No mosquito problem which I was afraid of. I wish they had an established 1st aid station somewhere as my 2 year old fell on the concrete and landed on her face. She calmed down at the Dino sand pit, but the sand smelled like human doo doo. Other than the smelly sand and no bandaids, it’s a nice park. There are also older kid bullies, that the parents were not watching. So stay close with your kids and don’t be afraid to correct them!

My nephew just loved this wooden kid fortress. He went down that slide so many times lol A good place to spend with family 5 out of 5 will recommend to friends and family

This place had been a staple of my life. My parents brought me here when I was a child. Now whenever my step daughter is in town we bring her. I will continue to use this park for as long as the family can!

Very large shaded playground. Lots of different types of structures for the kids to play on. Seemed to be all fenced in, which makes parents feel more comfortable. Bathrooms on site. And lots of benches and tables for parents.

Best park in the area! Different builds for various ages. Even toddlers have an area. The park has a large sand area, 3 sets of swings, and the best part is the park is completely enclosed by a fence for safety! Last thing there are plenty of trees do its well shaded.

I absolutely luv this park. Its quiet and serene. Lots of enjoyment for the kids and plenty of space for the family to get together and have outdoor fun.

We love this park. Its particularly great as its nestled inside a forest. Duh. The shade lets you best the heat.

Clean. Lots of space to play: swings, slides, castle maze, covered picnic areas with grills, stage, open grass area. Adjacent to Chesapeake city park (basket ball courts, volley ball area, walking area, etc.) Note: Do NOT leave valuables in vehicles. I had my vehicle broken into (almost 2 yrs ago).

My grandkids love this park. I like it because of all the trees, a lot of shaded areas. The restrooms have been clean each time weve gone.

This very large and fenced in childrens park is awesome. Lots of seating for parents, a nice restroom and a few areas for picnics/parties.

I took my 3 year old son here and we both had a blast! There is so much to do and explore. Around every turn and twist you will find that the architect had a lot of fun designing this place. There are 3 different playgrounds ranging from toddler all the way up to pre-teens. They even have full body harness swings for the little ones. We definitely look forward to coming here all summer. Oh and yes, this place does have nice clean bathrooms with changing stations and water fountains.

This is easily the coolest local playground Ive seen. There are multiple swing sets and a variety of play structures with tons of features. There is a large gazebo in the middle area where you can stay in the shade. There are public restrooms and handicap parking. There are always a lot of families there, so a good place for kids to maybe make some new friends. Your kids will not be bored!

Great playground for the kiddos. Some parts are broken and there are spots with no visibility for the parents to see kids playing. Only one entrance/exit which is nice.

Great park. Only one entrance/exit which is great for parents. Sand pit, swings, good shade, close bathrooms, different age appropriate areas of play too! Something for all the kids!

My 3 yr old and almost 1 yr old had a blast running around this playground. There are concrete animals, the classic wooden castle play structures that cater to different ages and skill levels and there are swings (accessible swings need to be fixed)and a sand box. The park could use a bit of general maintenance but is otherwise a great place for kids of all ages.

Awesome selection of activities for kids of various ages. You could probably brings kids here every weekend for years without them getting bored. Some areas are actually marked off for certain ages and that helps keep the smaller ones away from places where they might get steamrolled. Activities seem reasonably well maintained.

I was just there on New Years day with my 10 year old daughter and three of my 6-9 year old seconds cousins, and it was just as fun for them as it was for my now 26 year old son when he was their age and I took him there frequently. Everything looked exactly like it did almost 20 years ago oh, so its obviously been well-maintained through the years. Also, the ladies room was clean.

Shaded kids area

We love this park. My children refer to it as the wooden park. It reminds me of the original kids cove at Mt Trashmore. Its nicely located in the tree line and stays fairly shaded in some spots making it one of our summer picks for playgrounds. It also has plenty of benches for parents to sit back and relax while their littles play. Definitely a must visit park while in the area.

This place was so cute !! However as a mommy of a 1 yr old and a 3 month old it was very hard to find seating that made it possible to watch your children. Especially by the swings dont get me wrong there is seating. Lots of it but its in the wrong places because you want to be a bit closer to your children playing. I had to feed my 3 month old which was difficult with the structure of the park. However if you have a older child around 5 years old then its perfect. But for those of us who want to get out with younger then 2 years old its hard.

This was everything I had ever hoped for!
