The dog park is GIGANTIC! Its a great way to let your pup get out some energy, even if there arent other dogs around. Plus, the park is so big you can avoid other packs if you want to.Regarding the trails, they are okay! Great way to get a little nature in so long as you know that the trails that head toward the highway have a constant view of apartments, etc.

Went here to scout it out for fishing with my grandson..Looks very promising..Was way too hot to fish but the lake is small but nice, theres also a nice creek..The park is HUGE with plenty to do for all it seems...dog parks...large open fields...shaded picnic tables and grills..a small fishing pier...walking trails..bike trails..cant wait to give the fishing a try...

Nice Park. Plenty of space for everyone. Walking paths are nice and wide. People seem friendly. There is a rather large lake with people there fishing on the regular. Picnic areas with grills and tables are also available if you want to enjoy the park with family and friends. Overall just a nice place with nice people.

The creek and lake werent managed as well as they seem, the Rangers need to start a volunteer trash project, add new feed systems for fish, and manage the inlet and outlet of the pond better, other than that, the dog park and paths seemed nice.

Great park to practice 5k run. Theres a lake and a huge field for pets to run. Also if you like fishing, you are allow to in the pond.

Theres a great trail for walking or running. The path spills into the greenway which is excellent for bike riding. You can often spot heron in the marshy area. Though many people fish in the pond there, thats not something Ill venture to do.

Great walking/running/biking trails with a variety of scenery. You can walk along the lakeside, through the woods, or along a paved path. The park has a huge dog park that we love taking our pup to. There are always families having picnics or people out with their dogs. Its a great place to spend an afternoon!

Big park with lots of things to offer. There is a cross country course used by many local schools as well as weekend joggers. Large fields, a lake and fishing dock and a off leash dog park.

Good park to visit. Cross country races take place at this location for local schools. The park, is a typical city park with various maintenance items needing to be done. There is a greenway walking trail that follows the creek.

This is a pretty awesome spot. They have a fantastic trail system, soccer fields, tons of open space, lake with fishing pier and more. Great locating for running XC, biking or just a walk in the park.There is plenty of parking on site, a dedicated dog park, and scenic walks. The park can get quite busy with runners, as it has an awesome 5k route --though dont let that put you off, its a beautiful place.

I really enjoyed walking the trails around the fields, woods, and lakes. Humidity is horrible, but if you go early enough, it is tolerable.I have to walk for my health and what better place to go than a greenway that is clean!!

This is a great part of the greenway system. Plenty of open fields, nice trails and a lake for some fishing. With access to the other parks via the greenway system you can walk or bike for many miles.

They hosted the cross country running event and did an excellent job. The shuttle service was amazing and drivers were polite and friendly even at the end of the long day. They had enough port-o-pottys. The only recommendations I would have is that they needed more trash cans and Im always partial to more shade. We had a tent to help that out but it was pretty rough for those that didnt bring one.

100% recommended for a great family time.

What a wonderful public venue and Park! I brought my children to run in a cross country race and had a wonderful experience. So beautiful and open that I felt like I could have spent all day there. If youre up let it and like to run in the woods you this is a must place to visit.my girls team came in second in the south at this race so we were really excited about the finish!the people who run the park seem very accommodating and helpful and ran the event with these even though it was muddy and rainy.

McAlpine Creek Park is a hidden gem. There are miles of trails, picnic shelters, and a lovely fishing pond. I am curious why there is no playground.

Walk around the lake or the trails. Ride bikes. Jog or run. Bring a fishing rod. Bring a chair an relax. Walk your dog, also a dog park. Have a picnic.

I highly recommend getting pegs for your bike and flying down the course with your child on them. Its like a 30 minute hug with good vibes and exercise.Otherwise, its a great park even without all that. Lakes, exercise playground, long trails that connect to a large number of other greenways, and a creek that spans the length.

As one of my favorite parks for races, hiking, and simple walk abouts, there are great trails to bike at easy paces, and run about. There are several loops, different segments, and public restrooms at the enternece.I highly suggest this park for anyone wanting a nice day out on a lake, or simple walk in the woods.

Beautiful park, bit confusing in the beginning of the walk with the path crossing over itself. the XC events held here are great! the parking is confusing but have patience and its not too long or take the shuttle, so convenient

This park is truly a hidden gem! Weve lived in the area for 12 years and never knew how large and nice it is! Lots of large, open walking paths, a huge dog park area that is fenced that also has a section for 20 pound and under dogs, and a large pond that can be fished! Really awesome, clean, and should be visited to appreciate it!

Over all nice wide path to walk and run , basically flat so it’s an easier trail . Small pond in the middle adds to a relating atmosphere while walking . Dog park area is also nice . Some drainage issues on the grassy areas after a heavy rain .

A great place to socialize your dog, but please be a good pet owner and keep an eye on your furry friend!Theyve slowly but steadily been making improvements to this park over the last few years, opening new large areas, adding fenced off small dog areas, adding sheltered spaces. The tables could use some work (some of them are literally falling apart from age/use) but over all a good spot!

The park is a nice spot to get a long run in. There are different types of terrain to break up the monotony of a run. Plus nice scenery is a bonus.

This is a large dog park with two sides. The top side is wide open so not much shade but there are two covered picnic tables. The bottom side of the park has some trees for shade. Theres also a small fenced area to keep the smaller dogs separated. Typically there are plenty of other puppies for our dog to play with so she comes home exhausted and happy.

Gorgeous park. They have two really nice dog parks - a smaller one for smalli dogs with trees and benches and a larger one with lots of wide open space to get those zoomies out. Theres also a decent sized pond, but for their safety, be sure not to let the pups swim or drink it! There is an abundance of parking which is great for larger vehicles and safe to load and unload your skin or fur family without worrying too much about other cars. There is also a public restroom and some sort of ranger office/community center. Be traffic on the main road really moves, so be careful coming in and out.

Nice park and trail with a couple of large ponds that I never knew existed.Note: There have been a number personal safety incidents that occurred recently that warrant diligence. Never go to parks alone and be fully aware your surroundings (dont blast your headphones to drown out perception)

This park is very clean! I was here for a Cross Country event, holding a couple hundred kids, and it was clean when we got here, and clean when we left! Every place you turn is spotless, the trails are very defined and very accessible from any entrance! They have a small lake in the middle which runs from McAlpine creek. Reccomend checking this place out, and discovering the trails in this park!

Love this place!! It is a very naturalistic walk/jogging area with a beautiful lake in the middle. It also has a fenced in dog park area for the furry friends to play! Theres no playground but you can fish in the lake, so bring the kids and make it fun!

Used to LOVE the dog park here! Unfortunately now the trash cans are outside the dog park for some reason and you have to walk extremely far to get bags/ throw away poop which means taking eyes off your pup for a few minutes which is never good to do at a dog park. Also because of this Ive noticed people not even bothering to pick up their dogs poop.

I like how the main trail around the lake is very open.
