Marshall Park is a good place to quickly walk through. Seems to be the main meeting place to start a protest. It does have a nice statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Pond seems dirty but the few ducks seem to not mind.

This is one of the many parks I love to visit here in Charlotte. Ducks were out today and very few people so we got to really enjoy the open spaces and fresh air.

Great park within reach of downtown - but not the best Skyline view. The fountain is good but its more of a walking park and not much benches to sit. Moreover, being middle of downtown, there isnt any free parking near by.

Could have been better designed but kudos for the effort. Way too much concrete for a park. Maybe, eventually, nature will reclaim the space. The water features are the nicest elements...even though they, too, are concrete contained.

Had a beautiful experience picnicking with my family on a Sunday morning. Plenty of open space, trash receptacles, and on-street parking. I can only imagine that this is a wonderful place to spend time in the spring and summer. I would definitely visit again for another picnic.

Would be an ABSOLUTE SHAME to destroy this park with what are now beautiful, mature trees, and replace it with a flat, soulless sham of a residential (high cost) and business (needless) area that absolutely cannot match the beauty I have captured here. I think Charlottes Got a Lot would agree, since you use a pic from a similar perspective to promote the city and your agency in your many TV ads.

Beautiful park. Excellent Landscape Architecture. Ample seating and area to stand and sit and enjoy the great views of Charlotte. Lots of movement with fountains and plantings, and fun places for the kids to play and make sounds. I was pleasantly surprised by this space, and would highly recommend that you visit just to see. So beautiful

This park has so much potential. There were areas to sit, but also areas to run around and play. I loved the pond with the ducks, however the park was not at all well taken care of. There was trash everywhere...on the sidewalk, in the grass, and in the pond. It was gross.

It is a park located right at the downtown. A pretty big park with lots of trees and huge space to walk or jog or run. kids play around. There is even a nice fountain at the center of the park and big pond with many fishes in it. It feels really cool near the pond when the weather is hot. The park is devoid of all the downtown traffic going around, you would never feel all the hustle bustle of the city here. Seen many people having small picnics, sitting and relaxing with families.

Who owns this park; the city, county, private? They are demolishing this park for more development, states local news. Where is the public outcry? Where are the protestors? Where are the protestors going to hold their rallys? Doesnt anyone want to save the green space? The green way? Where are local residents, who bought close to the park, suppose to play and walk their dogs now? Does anyone want to save the trees? I read the previous buildings were demolished to create more green space. Now the greenspace is being demolished to create more buildings? What is going on? Who is in charge? Is this world class? Can you imagine if N.Y.C. demolished Central Park to create more buildings? Then demolished buildings to create more greenspace? They would be a laughing stock. Whoops. Is Freedom Park next? Park Road Park?

Good public meeting place across the street from the Mecklenburg County Courthouse. It can hold large crowds and has a pond, but its not a place you would bring your kids to play. There is no playground and you are not allowed to feed the geese.

Beautiful park on the outskirts of Uptown. Great view of the skyline from here and some nice places to lounge. Looks like it hasnt seen any love in a while though. Grass was long and unkempt, lots of garbage strewn about the place, and the water was looking pretty grungy. With a bit of cleanup, this could be a nice little park again.

Not as nice as it starts in the photos. This park badly needs maintenance, or even an overhaul for the fountains architecture. Its just too much ugly poured concrete with no shade where I can sit and enjoy the water, and no feeling of purposeful design in the proportions. Its very gray and sad.
