Great place to take the kids fishing. They have a few docks which is specially good now during social distancing. Kids caught a few fish since they can just throw hooks in and fish are right there. Overall great spot to fish and take kids to teach them

Beautiful area, lots of shade, fishing piers, gravel walking trails, picnic areas. Great place for get-togethers. Watch for snakes!

The cove is a nice, pretty place to put your boat in, as it isnt as crowded as other ramps. There is a long No Wave area to get out onto the main lake.. However, the area for backing your trailer into the lake is relatively small, some cleats on the docks are missing or loose and dock bumpers are in bad need of repair.

Its nice if you like the outdoors. Had a good picnic and great conversation.

Multiple boat ramps, but weekends are always packed, so expect a little wait. Great thing about this launch is that its back in a cove so you dont get the crazy rough water trying to put in and out. A little walking area with boardwalks where there are (always) people fishing. Definitely one of my preferred boat launches on the lake.

Great parking and easy boat access. The only complaint is that the road leading into the launch area is riddled with holes and bumps.

Copperhead island is a great place to put in the water at Lake Wylie, there are four ramps total, with good turnarounds and decent sized parking lots. Nice, calm cove to drop your boat in

For a public boat ramp, its in pretty decent shape. Some of the cleats are coming off, and the bumper is stripping away form one side of the dock, but overall its not bad.

Pretty busy, but not as bad as others Ive seen. Much larger parking lot. One negative is it needs be be cleaned up on the land surrounding the pier and down on the small bits of land some relax on. Full of trash and debris, broken glass. Its a mess.

Can get a little tight at peak hours but its a nice place to launch your boat. Two parking lots for your trailer.

I love this place! So much space and great for camping. The dock is awesome and fun to jump off of. Large fire pit for late night social gatherings. The bathrooms are simple and clean. Its so nice to have a shower. My only issue is that people dont respect the reserved sign. Even if the gate is closed, people still walk up and walk around. Its very inconsiderate and aggravating.

Nice boat ramp, good parking area. This end of the lake is very developed, not as many little beach areas for kayakers to take a break, but still a nice area to paddle.

Be careful visiting here. We stopped for about 30 minutes to check out the walk-in camp sites on a holiday weekend. It was very busy between people fishing, walking and boating. The area is nice, but we came back to a broken car window and stolen items. Apparently this happens fairly regularly here and no cameras have been installed. I cant recommend based on this experience. Dont let someone ruin your weekend like we did, keep driving and find someplace else to go.

I came to explore this island too plan a future camping trip. While there I did see there are 2 boat ramps and plenty of parking for truck and trailer. It does have a separate parking area away from the boat ramps for people visiting the island. The island is very nice, beautiful views, primitive camping but there is a bathroom nearby. This is a fantastic place to go for a walk, fish or camp.

If you go here to fish you will be disappointed. The lake in my opinion has been over fished . On the up side the scenery is nice.

Easy to get in and out of. We always arrive early on busy times and never have any trouble. 4 ramps are maneuverable and plenty of room at the boat ramps for backing.

Great place to spend time with the family or just a quick getaway by yourself for fishing...

Excellent wish I could remember how I got there

Ive never actually used this ramp, we fished copperhead creek, on lake wylie, as far as the fishing goes on wylie; its fallen off terribly the past 10 years, I drive down from North East tn. And for me its just not worth the trip any more, which is sad because it was a great lake, then theres the Charlotte traffic to deal with, just not worth the hassle at this time.

Nice park, but its far from charlotte and when you get there there is a sign that says all picnic areas are reserved and there is only a couple cars in the lot. so unfortunate. They should not rent out the whole picnic area.Other than that the boat ramps are nice with plenty of parking.

Took my dog for a walk here for the first time ever, awesome place and local to us.

Great place for fishing. Several docks are available. Since its not a park, you dont have to worry about curious kids or dogs getting in the way. Bring some chicken livers and stink bait, and hook into some catfish.

Our vehicles got broken into and they took money and valuables. The area is nice otherwise, but there werent a ton of people there which is more weird to me that we got broken into.
