AMAZING PARK! Terrible people.. this park is separated into 3 sections for small medium and large dogs. However, people don’t follow this rule and often leave gates open after using them allowing your dog to escape. Also, a lot of people in the area bring their aggressive dogs and there is ALWAYS a dog getting hurt. It’s ok if your dog doesn’t do well with others but it is your responsibility to keep other dogs safe. No one cares about social distancing or masks and will straight up judge you if you do.. I guess is the area maybe? A lot of people think COVID isn’t real? Don’t know..There’s always this old man with a big tiger stripes dog leaving gates open and yelling at people for no reason.. maybe he has menta issues? I feel bad for him but it gets really uncomfortable..

I love how big this dog park is, but I’ve had negative experiences each time. Many owners I’ve encountered there do not take accountability for their dogs aggressive behaviors. Prefer Reedy Creek dog park over any other.

The first time we went to the Davie dog park was this weekend. I have been to many dog parks but this one is exceptional. We (including my dog!) had a great time. Its very large and people are friendly. The only negative I know of....a few people told us that copperheads have been spotted several times.

This place is the best - my dog always has a blast and I argue it’s one of the best parks in Charlotte, NC!They have a huge fenced in yard as well as a separate fenced in area for small dogs. They don’t have trashes inside the fence which is kinda annoying but they’re right outside the gates so you’ll just have to carry it out with you. They have a water sticker with fresh water that the dogs love and a shared bowl but I suggest bringing your own bowl. They have some seats and picnic benches to lounge at, which makes for a great experience for both my dog and I!

I was not impressed. Im not sure if the park was under construction, or if we went to the incorrect entrance, and the fact that I am even unsure means the park has done a bad job of letting visitors know where everything is. Where I entered was hilly. And rocky, massive trees and trees roots. It was not peaceful for me.

Very large area for dogs to run around. The large dog area is kind of broken up into 3 connected sections and the small dog area is one big space. Sometimes it can be muddy and trash cans are not cleared frequently, but I would say this is the best dog park I’ve been to in the Charlotte area. The Park is in a wooded area, so it is cool on hot summer days too.

This is a very large dog park with lots of room to run. Didnt like that my dog could get out of sight, especially because there were gates on both ends of the park. They need more dog waste bins. The one they had inside was overflowing. Overall, not a bad park, just a bit of a safety concern for me with the gates out of sight.

Separate gated areas for small and big dogs. I didnt see bag dispensers so remember to bring bags to clean up after your dog. I did see a few water spigots available (may need to bring a bowl). The other people were helpful and the other pups were friendly. Not much grass, mostly dirt since there are a lot of trees around. The things I didnt care for were a downed tree that had not been cleaned up & lots of bags that were piled high by a few trees due to a lack of trash cans. Overall Its a good place for your pup to open up and play.

Nice and well maintained. I wish they would convert the grass field to turf. The grass field is almost like a sink between two hills, whenever it rains it gets inundated with water. I also wish there weren’t police sitting around there constantly for no reason

There is a very large off leash fenced dog park here with three connected areas for big dogs and one area for small dogs. If your pup is an escape artist, this may not be the place for you, there are frequently small gaps in the fence along the border. Also the staff is afraid of dogs so all trash cans are outside the fence.

We use to love this place because its big and clean. We recently visited and notice trashcan and doggy poo poo bag was on the gate where you enter. Which is causing poo poo not being picked up or hanged on the fence. You have to watch where you step or throw the ball. Now I have to find other dog park.

We decided to check this park out since it had such great reviews, but it was kinda a bust! One review said it was grassy, not muddy or dusty. That is no longer the case, it was muddy with gravel. The latch on the outside gate (little dog side) was broken. Most disturbing is other patrons absolute disregard for the weight limit! Several people brought large dogs into the little dog side. Eventually, we had to leave bc it just wasnt safe for our little guys.

This park is very close to where I live making it very convenient. However, on the weekends you will find a lot of dog owners who have clearly never been to a dog park before and do not know basic dog park etiquette/rules or choose to ignore the rules posted near both entrances of the park. Also, nearly no one picks up after their dog at this park so watch where you step.

There are tables and benches, as well as a place for your pups to play in the water. There are 2 separate areas one for big dogs and one for small dogs. The small dog area is VERY small. We have met some awesome people and sweet dogs at this park. We will continue to go to this park every chance we get!

Review №49

Nice dog park, but people here tend to disobey the rules. I have seen people let their dogs roam out of their eyesight, bring small children (as young as 4!), and allow their dogs to jump on the backs of other dogs without so much as batting an eye. This isnt a fault of the park itself of course, but be mindful that not everyone has a good handle on their dog park etiquette. If youre trying to socialize your dog here, keep an eye out. Definitely bring a leash and perhaps even invest in an air-horn. A surprising amount of people simply do not care what their dogs are doing.

This park is wonderful but be cautious there has been many times when people will leave the double fences wide open at the entrance. The park is so large that you can’t see the entrance in different parts of the park so dogs can easily sprint out without you knowing when this happens. I wish there was some kind of way to prevent this. It is a huge concern that people are that disrespectful and inconsiderate to not close the gates behind them. There has also been a few bad dog fights while I’m there so please if your dog is not dog friendly or you suspect they’re not dog friendly do not bring them to the dog park. It is the worst thing to see owners have to rush to the emergency vet on a day where they just wanted to get their dog out and excercise. Overall it’s a good park and huge size just wish some owners would be a little more courteous of others.

Great people great dogs. There is a big dog side and a little dog side with a connecting fence you can go seamlessly between. Currently they are doing construction on half of the big dog area so that part is closed. The part accessible next to the small dog area is open still.Has a nice concrete double entrance for both small and big dog sides with watering stations.Gets a bit muddy after rain but it is dirt after all.Only down side is there isnt much for the dogs to do beyond play in open space and run. No training aids like a frames or hoops
