Pretty nice park, not what I was hoping for. Due too a picture of people swimming I decided too come here with my dogs and enjoy a dip. But I wouldnt swim in the water.....smells gross. There would have too be a on site shower for me too be get in this water on a 100 dollar bet. Other then that plenty of shade and the river bed is a pretty peaceful walking place. I Recommmend this place after a long drive.

Wife told me I should go fishing and I figured Id go somewhere near by. Only out there about 3 hours and landed a few trout, not a bad morning.

HUGE! Is the best way to describe this park! Miles of sidewalks to walk on. Acces to walking down to the Kern River...which of course has no water! It is Bakersfield!

This is by far my favorite park in Bakersfield. A massive field with plenty of biking and hiking trails, a full playground for the kids, clean facilities with convenient spots to sit, and its all right next to a shopping center! Perfect for gatherings of any size, and an all around great spot to gather!

I always enjoy a clean park, this wasnt my first time here. My son and I enjoy the trail and the atmosphere. Although the trash can need more maintenancing. I always feel safe here and my nephews always enjoy the ducks and water.

Could use a clean up in the water site but overall good experience to take a deep breath and rest a bit. Also big spaces for kids to play, a trail for biking and walk as much you like. Overall a great park for a quick and much needed outdoor activities.

Beautiful place, landscaping, the playground, and the amphitheater are very cool. A little over crowded on weekends, however, and getting dirty. Needs a good power washing! lol Plus sometimes the sprinklers go off and on during prime hours, making mud. Muddy kids and my car dont mix, so I hope they fix that.

Nice place to walk and play. Playground for the kids and plenty of tables. Bathroom could use a little love.

This park is nice and big and just an all around beautiful view. Take off ur shoes n let the air blow the stank off. The ducks are adorable. I love taking my family here

Riverwalk is an amazing Park in Bakersfield spending a holiday memorable time with family picnic, walk, exercise, cycling bicycles, skateboards etc.. go fishing, playground for kids, partay and Spectrum events..

Its beautiful. Looks like a nice place to sit next to the pond and read or write.

Nice trails to walk at River walk park. I have been to several events here. Pretty surroundings and clean park.

Steak was good. Pasta was normal. Al in all good food.

The Park at River Walk is a magnificent park. It’s spacious and beautiful with rolling hills that lead to the Spectrum Arena. A pond with duck, geese and plenty of relaxation bird song. There are many tables and benches and BBQ’s. The grounds and restrooms are very well kept. The park has river walking access which is my favorite part of this lovely park.

The only place left in town to walk your dog so if you dont have a dog get lost

Its a great place to take a walk, and two fish if you are not interested in catching much. That is unless they just stocked it.

Nice place for a family outing. Two lakes for fishing and trails are long. The River is dry though and it only feels good when its cloudy or early morning.

This park has been one of the calmest and safest parks I have been at in a while. There are plenty of families enjoying the day and everyone was just so friendly, especially when our dog would run up to them or just want to play with the kids. The two boys I. The back ground had a great time getting wet in the creek. If you want a relaxing day at the park either with your family, dog or friends, I recommend this park.

My favorite visual with this park is that it is not flat. Sounds kind of funny to say, but its true. Thos oark has diverse terrain, walking paths, bike path passes this park as well and thats what brought me there today. I biked from North High School to River Walk. It was a beautiful ride. I had my break, lunch and quiet moment there.. in the shade. Many squirrels.

Its a great park great for those morning walks plenty of benches, has a nice lake for pictures or scenery, some great bike trails and even with a nice play area for the little ones.

We love this park! The bathrooms are always clean, its safe, people swim, fish and bike around. People keep their dogs on leashes, and there is an ice cream truck.

Its a beautiful park its hugh park where you can fish, have picnic with family or just walking around the park.

I love coming here to walk. Its a nice alternative to the gym and the its always clean and pretty. I love all the different types of birds you can see here too. Its also a good place to go if you like to play Pokemon Go because it has plenty of Pokestops for continuous play.

The Park at River walk had very nice atmosphere . The the bike path, river, and lake make it enjoyable. Great for a picnics or small gatherings. The river, walkways and bike path are accessible at your own risk. Food and shopping nearby.

Love this park beautiful scenery with the lakes, walks connected to the bike path for a walk all the way to the bluffs down town. Great for games such a pokemon as well a meeting place for so many groups. The only reason I give the park a 4 star is because late in the evenings when I have time to go walking at the park is full of young people doing drugs and carrying on. It makes it hard sometimes to enjoy how truly amazing this park really is.

The park at river walk is, by my standards the most beautiful park in bakersfield.. it offers scenic beauty, barbecue, picnic tables, 2 lakes, swimming (at your own risk) fishing, hiking by the river Kern, an outdoor amphitheatre and restrooms. Enjoy your day!

Hello Park people, just spent about an hour and 15 minutes at River Walk Park in Bakersfield. I was able to find a place to park in the shade roll down my windows listen to some good conservative talk radio and had some cereal and some chocolate milk of which I just bought at Target and unfortunately the only picture I have the share is inside Target. The only identifying mark on the picture is my hand. So people who know me well will be able to authenticate the picture. There was quite a few people in the park it was around lunchtime variety of children dogs exercise fanatics couple of family type gatherings I think one might have gone above the recommended 10. However Im not going to dial 911 for that. Gavin Newsom can find out other ways to defeat Republicans so Ive been cleaning my picture thats all I got

It was war. But I was able to find a table near a large shade tree. I enjoyed having lunch with my brother & my 97 yr. old father.

My dog loves it here, great for walks, and theres lots of ducks. (Can get extremely humid during summer)

This park is pretty Pog. Has an area to swim, and an area where people like to fish. It also has a playground for children, lots of benches, gazebos, and places to grill food.

It is the nicest park in Bakersfield. Bummer the nicest park doesnt get five stars. Theres frequently some aspect of the playground boarded off.. other than that, its a nice park with nice access to the Riverwalk path. The water adds to the beauty and appeal of the park. It would be nice to have more parks like this around town.

There is parking , people r friendly plenty shade. There r grills if u like to BBQ.

The Park at Riverwalk is animal orderly, pro-behaved canines, although I do not have any animals at any time of my own. The tending and caring for the attendant animals there are real, whatever they be with human assistance. They are not always canines, or some other common one. These animals like to relax, and be calm. It is important to remember that the grass therein must be green, and that it can still be that, but if there is too much Sulfate of Ammonia, or Ammonia Sulfate, it can burn rise from clumps of it that have been spread layered over the years. Equine stagecoaches including Wells Fargo bank stagecoaches have not been seen by me at any time, although they may have been there somewhere within the park boundary.These I learn from, just as I learn from the abscence of an immediate family member who has been gone for over 50 years, losing his life in Vietnam. I learn distinctly at this, but it does not end there, the full patriotic flag assembly should bring something forth from within every person who is there. I know all of the above as true and maybe like a pro, being that I was born on what would become United Nations Day on October 24th, 1971. I was born on that same numerical calendar date, four years prior to 1971.

Always a great place to relax and let some steam off. Kids can play at the play area. Bike along the trail. Some people even fish in the lake. Good location

A clean park. A nice trail. There is a place for children to play. The park is really large. Dogs are welcome as long as you pick up after your pets. No one wants to accidentally step in it or smell it. I have married a couple of people there as an officiant. If you need an officiant reach out to me. There are many places to sit and rest. People reserve the covered areas for parties. Come out and enjoy yourself. This is a great fitness place.

Such an incredible park. Absolutely beautiful. Im newer to Bakersfield and have become obsessed with this park. Im not sure if my dog love the park or all the ground squirrels but its a favorite. With Kern River right behind makes for an amazing picture, it cool down. Hands down this is a beautiful park.

Very nice park, great for biking, running, or just laying on the grass. For cross country our coach had us run on the biking trail and it was always a fun experience. There is a playground, but it is pretty busy. Overall, very nice

For Bakersfield, this is about the best outdoor venue around. Its clean, lots of families on a stroll and dog walking going on. Plenty of parking. On your way in on Stockdale, you pass by the Riverwalk Plaza with just about every store for what you might need to shop for. So, you wont miss anything on your errand run and the fresh air being the big plus.

Beautiful mid day walk and great way to spend a weekend. Perfect for walking your dog or just enjoying company with your colleagues. Great for getting exercise and enjoying the outdoors.

Nice and quiet environment, very relaxing

The restrooms were a wreck - filthy and not maintained. The park was spacious but people did not pick up and dispose of their trash - the kids play area was littered with it. The walk was nice - paved path, but no actual river or water. Also, people did not pick up after their dogs - despite free bags being readily available at key points in the park. Disappointing since it has the potential to be much nicer.

Great place to walk and enjoy outdoors, beautiful Flag Day ceremony for Memorial Day lots of vendors lots of open spaces and toys for kids to play on.

This place is huge. They have real sand which is great. My kiddos dont like the wood chips. They dont have a lot of shade is the only down side, at least not where the playground is. It was very clean.
