This was amazing!!!! I absolutely loved this one!!!As requested , the written prop clues can endure time with carbon paper for the staff the use when it gets used to a point where its noticeable.More importantly, the guy who was working with us , Joey (thanks Joey. Youre awesome!) when we went, was by far the most helpful and respectful our requests. We wanted to get as few clues as possible and he obliged.This place is MUST GO!Seriously, GOOOOOOOO!

We did the Grim room and had a blast trying to figure out all the clues. Joey was an excellent host and helper. We will definitely be coming back to try a new room. Thank you Joey for everything!

Theres no way you get paid to be that great!The room we conquered this weekend was multiple rooms and plenty of clever hidden interactive moving props!!!! This escape room is awesome! We did Crimson Storm last year and really liked it, but we just did Amnesia and it was AMAZING! This is a great gift for someone who like experiences more than things, or a unique double date. They also did a good job of adapting the experience due to Covid—thanks for such a fun and safe time!

My family and I love puzzle effects! We have done all their rooms. Very professionally done and FUN. Its the best version of family game night. You will not regret going :)

I have done each of the escape rooms here and, each time I went, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The staff are all incredibly kind and they work hard to ensure you have a fun time (without making the rooms easy). If you are looking for a way to practice being a detective with friends, then this is the place for you!

Great room and awesome hosts.I love the multi room aspect. You can feel progress. Not sure if there was multiple ways to solve a room or if there was red herrings to watch out for but we finished with 2minutes left to spare.

Went here with the family. Had no Idea what to expect. Everyone found a clue and they were involved. We didnt make it in the allotted time but it was so much fun. The gamemaster or whatever he is called gave us clues that really made you think. But we did a lot of work on our own and made good progress. The ages of our group was 53, 44, 33, 11, 9 & 6. We did the Crimson Storm room. I cant wait to go back and try the other rooms.

So much fun! The puzzles were challenging, but made logical sense as you solved them. We felt a great deal of satisfaction every time we completed a puzzle. I would definitely recommend this for a Family outing or a get-together for friends. Even my husband was surprised that he had so much fun, since this isn’t something he thought he would enjoy. The staff was great too. I’m going to convince my boss that we need to do this as a team building exercise. We will definitely be back.

Fun and just the right amount of challenging. Puzzles/clues were really creative and made us think in lots of different ways. Had a great time solving the pirate ship room with my husband!

Forced my family to go with me for my birthday because theyre all big nerds who love puzzles but refuse to do anything fun for some reason. So I forced them to do something with me that theyd all enjoy. And what do you know? They were super invested in the rooms and had a fantabulous time! Who would have thunk it.The quality of the rooms and the staff are both excellent. Everyone was kind to us, and they provided top-notch service. The rooms are intricately decorated so you feel completely immersed in the environment. The room we did initially was the pirate themed room. We actually solved it so quickly that they gave us a second room for free. This was awesome news for me because it was my birthday and now I got to double force my family to have fun with me. Our second room was a success as well, but it wasnt nearly as successful as the first one was.All in all, we had a blast and I highly recommend this to everyone.

Excellent experience. Superb room design and extremely helpful and kind staff. Easy scheduling and a great family experience. Played The Crimson Storm and it was our favorite game of all available. The kids loved finding the treasure! Highly Recommend!

My daughters and I loved the Bakersfield Escape Room. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Rob. He made us feel so welcomed! What a nice way to start our adventure. Bailey, our next staff member, thoroughly explained the game. She was so pleasant, helpful, and welcoming! We had a great time! We would definitely come back to try another room. The facility was so clean -the staff was outstanding- just an awesome experience!

This place is like a hidden gem in Bakersfield. You get 60 minutes with 5 other people to solve a mystery and escape the room youve entered. Make a reservation for the date, time and room you want to solve as they run everyday at multiple times - and yes, there are different leveled rooms. I believe each room is for a party of 6, so if you dont fill up the reservation with all six people, theyll fill in the rest if they can. Other than that, enjoy - this was a ton of fun!

I feel like based on the people I was with, we shouldnt have finished as quickly as we did, so maybe could be harder. Staff is helpful with clues so youre never stuck for too long

Not my familys first escape room but we were impressed with the cleverness, the cleanliness, and the classy tech behind Puzzle Effects puzzles. Lots of thematic details that made the story come to life.

Such a fun time! My family of 5 ages 50 to 14 escaped from the Grimstacks room. We were greeted immediately as we entered and the friendly staff explained the game and how to unlock the several type of locks. The room itself was so intriguing upon entering. We immediately got to work searching for our first clue. The room was full of fun props and well maintained. Thankfully the kind staff will send a clue to the screen in the room if they see you are stuck. We found it to be very helpful. After we were done they let us hang out in the room for a bit taking pictures and discussing all the fun we had figuring out the clues. Then they gave us some signs to hold and took pictures of us to see later on the website. All in all this was a very fun experience and we all had a great time. I would highly recommend anyone check them out and see if you have what it takes to escape!

Bakersfield can use more fun places such as Bakersfield Escape Room. *Steps off small soap box*Anyway, I wont give any specifics, youll just have to find out for yourself what this place is like :)Its a lot of fun! I recommend going in a group of 2-4, with three being the sweet spot I would imagine.Its $25 per person on weekends and $22 during weekdays, a small price to pay for a truly great time.Have fun!

Ive done all of the currently available escape rooms over the last few years and I have had nothing but an exceptional experience each time, with fantastic staff and challenging puzzles that are very unique and fun each time.

First time going and went for my birthday...a lot of fun! The hour went by quick and glad to report we got out with 7.5 minutes to spare. If you are thinking of going...stop contemplating and book your room.

Really fun, really unique experience. We had a group of 5, age range from 9 to 40 doing a pirate ship theme, and every one had fun. Helpful, friendly staff. Clever puzzles that you really had think and work together on. Will definitely be going back to play through other theme rooms.

Tonight 5 of us did Crimson Storm, the pirate themed room, and made it out in time (with 2 clues). We failed the first room we did, Grim Stacks, but still had a ton of fun. We are hooked! Highly recommend for a fun night with family and friends.

It was my 1st time doing an escape Room and it was so much fun! My son his girlfriend and I had A-blast. Theyre both 16 year olds And thought they knew everything However the set up of the Room was great! We all worked together And had a great time!

So much fun! Even if u don’t escape. Staff was wonderful and helpful. I’ve been to another escape room before and the staff was not nearly as pleasant to deal with it. They help make the experience so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend everyone to do it, our group had different ages varied from an 8 year old to late 40’s and everyone had fun!

Our group had a great time doing an escape at the Bakersfield Escape Room! Everyone had done past escapes and agreed that this was one of the best! Grimstacks had elements that we had never seen before. Our group had 4 middle school students, a 3rd grader, and a parent and all enjoyed the escape!

Did not finish twice but got the third room! First two times it was only me and one other person and the third time it was with 4 people, sooo bring more people if you wanna complete the room!

This is our second time to try an escape room here at Bakersfield escape room. Im currently visiting from out of town and have tried many escape rooms from here to Utah to Texas, and Bakersfield escape rooms is top notch. The rooms have a good story line and arent too easy or too impossible. If you have a chance I definitely recommend this place.

The people there explains everything very nicely and are very helpful when answering any questions. If you get stuck in your game, they do help out from the text on a screen where your time is shown. Honestly the most fun Ive had with my friends and even if you lose someone comes in and lets you finishing solving it, so you know how it was supposed to end.

This was my first time at an Escape Room and it was so FUN! It was really challenging! We werent able to solve it completely but that only made me want to go back even more! Hannah was our guide. She was professional but also full of energy and made the experience more personal. She had an Amazing attitude. Our kids really liked her. She told us about the other rooms available before we left and took group pics for us. We cant wait to go back! Yay for Escape Room!!!

The rooms were so interactive and fun! I was at a birthday party and the place was great! They had an Amazon echo to play music and snacks and everything! 10/10 would recommend hope I can come again.

My wife and I hadn’t ever done this before. We got the most difficult room as it was the only one available on such short notice. The hostage died...even though the kidnapper gave us clues. We had fun working together. It was a great evening... maybe not for the hostage... We will certainly come back for more. Thank you.

I did all four rooms and I enjoyed all of them. I enjoyed Grim Stacks and RESCUE the most. I like that they do not lock the door because it made me feel more comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Love this place! Its definitely the nicest one in town. I give it a 4/5 only because of the price....a bit steep for a group, considering the experience is an hour or less. I dont recommend this for younger children. It is probably best for around 12 and up.

Best escape room experience in Bakersfield, the place is set up really professionally and they do a great job with the rooms, clues and it is a great experience for those who have never done a room or those who have done them before. They give you great clues and a story line to help guide you. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Wonderful experience and highly recommended

Kristin... is a Queen of the Puzzle. Super friendly and welcoming. And probably all of the rest of the staff is too. But she was our groups supervisor and she made sure our experience was awesome. We failed the first one and destroyed the second one. But we were happy with the outcome of the first anyway. Great place and awesome puzzles!!!

Literally the best place
