Its a very nice park up in Oildale. Very well taken care of. The Kern River is right there too. Nice baseball diamond. Very nice park overall.

Used to be THE SPOT when I played Baseball in High School here, but 36 years has taken its toll on the park. Has a GOOD disc golf course but OTHER THAN THAT....KEEP GOING!!

Good place to fish and rise horses and dirt bikes but there is a lot of bums unfortunately

I was only there once to see my little niece play basketball. Its a very nice facility and it seems good for the area and kids who want to play sports after school and weekends. I think it gives them choices on what they can do with their free time, especially if their parents are working and theyre unsupervised. That being said, I hope all children are welcome to play, even if their parents cant afford to pay the fees. Hopefully, theres some way to make that happen, maybe a sliding scale based on income or a scholarship for the kids with good grades?

One of Bakersfields best. Some of the most beautiful trees in town for sure.

It has changed, and not for the better. You cant drive up to the back and turn around, its blocked off. Half of the parking is closed off. There are not too many picnic tables. It used to be better about 15 years ago.

Homeless people park is what the name of the place should be.And the river around their is trashed its disgusting camps every where

Its ok. Ive seen better parks, but this one did the trick. I just didnt like that people were actually riding motorcycles through the park to get to the river area. Obviously that was extremely unsafe. I might go again, but not anytime soon.

Horrible park my dog got a peace of material in her foot it look like it was from needle and big dogs running all over the park no owner in sight I wouldnt recommend it to anybody

Bums tend to take it over and the frisbee golfers can be pretty rude

I was assaulted by another disc golf player g was ice my size , half my age and a 1/3rd of my IQ!!! Fractured bones in my face. Nothing done about it so still on the loose.

I stopped here for a break from driving and clean up my car. As I looked around, I discovered that it was quite big and it was really quiet. There was only a couple of people there and they were being quiet so that my experience even better.

There is too many disk golf action going on to enjoy the scenery and tranquility of such a large and beautiful part of place

This park has everything. Nice toys for the kids, basketball court, they play a lot of disc golf here and everyone is nice to our horse. And lets not forget about the river. It is actually a nice part of the river right through the park. Plus the people who visit the park are friendly. I havent had any problems with anyone. I give this park 5 stars.

I used to take my kids there over 25 years ago.it sure looks different.didnt even recognize it.hope its clean people who go there and safe for children.

This public park and childcare has the baseball diamonds they have that ring toss it has a lot going for it its clean its a nice park my daughter and I had lunch there. The playgrounds great lots of stuff for the kids to do I would suggest keeping a close eye on them and do have a lot of the day with the river right there the homeless come up on the to the park it dont really bother anyone my daughter and I go down to the Riverside after lunch and pull rocks for crafts if you just ignore it and go on about your business they wont bother you that would be Riverview Park Willow Drive Oildale good Park.

There are usually quite a few homeless people at this park. The play structure is far enough away from where they sleep and hang out that I usually feel comfortable enough to let my kids play with me supervising. We have left in the past due to this issue.

It use to be a great place but the powers that be have removed the family atmosphere to turn the park into a disk golf course.

Its a good place. Look vary clean fishing was good. Park idk it seemed pretty good. The disc golf was stupidly placed where everyone walks and cars travel. That needs to be fixed.

Nice place to dance, beware, some of the cars have been brocken into and contents removed.

If youre into disc golf this place has one of the nicest courses in Bakersfield I should give it a rating of 3 because restrooms tend to be locked. Thats my picture when I aced hole #2

This park is a nice park to take your kids to play. They can play basketball on the two courts that is at visitors disposal or play on the good size frisbee golf course. If not the sports type there is a toy set and a great area to let the kids play by the river. Even swim during the summer months

Riverview park offers a scenic area near the Kern river where many local visitors enjoy regular outings. The area is frequented by transients who camp there, and even though some may find their presence unappealing, the inhabitants are no threat and rarely ever cause disturbance.

This is a big huge park with an entrance leading to the Kern River. Plenty of toys for kids to play on plus a softball field and disc golf. A good place to walk, jog, or even ride your horse. The only two drawbacks are the filthy restrooms and the Riff Raff that linger at the park.

I like this park. The toys are fun and its a large park. Love taking walks here during morning weekdays when its less crowded.

Good for parties, walking your dogs, taking your kids. If you just wanna get outof the house for a bit this is a good place. Plenty of shade to chill in but the water fountains arent that cold if you get thirsty so bring your own drinks

Be aware of transients and kids safety. It is a known hangout for lower class crowd. Has a playground, frisbee golf course and river or canal access.

For me and many others Riverview Park will always have its own place in my heart. Without the park i probably wouldnt be the same person I am today.

We played horse shoes with an old friend and had a great time. Theres some vagrants living around there that arent on the up and up, though.

Its actually a lovely park. The trees and the grounds are really lovely. But there are sketchy people all around and you cant let your kids or your bicycles out of your sight for a moment. Its a great place to have a picnic and let the kids play, except for the druggies that spend time there. They will steal anything from your bike to your kids shooter to your lunch while you push your child on a swing. Its a nice place to visit, very pretty. But put your phone down and keep a level eye on your children and everything you brought with you.

Lots of trash by the river but one can see the city is trying to get it cleaner, just they have a bad habit of pushing it into a pile and leaving it to long. Disc golf course is cool. Playground fun for the tiny tots and older kids. Plenty of room to play, just watch for flying discs in certain parts of the park. Baseball diamond well kept. Bathrooms gross, but hey its a public park, not the worst. Overall a nice local park I can walk to.

This park is nothing like it used to be. Bathrooms are locked unless there is a scheduled event such as a ball game.

There were a few people walking around that were obviously on drugs but the police came by often and they left.
