Chief Comcomly was a wise leader of men who utilized the tools and tactics of his day to help his people. Few would be so lucky to have been in a position to have been able to act as diplomat and merchant yet he managed to do well in the many roles that is asked of a chief. This memorial is in a proper place for the remembrance of this man -- He lived 70 years.
